Kelly opened the envelope. There were pictures of her a.s.saulting Kim. After glancing at them she stood up and said in panic, “What is the meaning of this? I don’t understand.”

“Which part you don’t understand?”, the dean asked in a stern tone.

“Were you spying on me or something?” Kelly asked in a bewilderment.

“I knew you’d say that but don’t get me wrong I am just following the orders from the above. Tell me Kelly….. Would you like to experience the same reality before coming here?” The dean taunted.

Kelly’s expression became dark after listening those words. She glared at the dean and said in a dark tone, “What are you implying here?”

The dean ignored Kelly’s resentment expression and said in a mocking tone, “I wonder what will happen, when your royal father learns all about this?”

“Are you threatening me?” Kelly asked with resentment. The envelope burned and turned into ashes. The atmosphere around Kelly became hot like fire. But the dean was sitting relaxed. She didn’t even frown. There weren’t any expression of worry on her face. Kelly felt like she’s been looking down. She raised her hand and the envelope tuned into ashes. She took a step forward and said with killing intent, “I don’t care what you do on my behalf but let me warn you. If you ever mention that b.a.s.t.a.r.d again in front of me again I won’t be able to hold back.”

“Oh! My! My! As expected from an arrogant brat like you, who thinks of herself so highly as a princess and doesn’t even give a d.a.m.n about people like me!” Dean smiled. She took off her gla.s.ses and stood in front of Kelly who was gritting her teeth and glaring at her like a vicious beast.

The dean was calm like before. She looked Kelly into her eyes and said with a stern face, “But let me warn you in advance that if anything ever happen like this in future. I won’t hold back.” With that said she flicked and all Kelly’s power dispersed in a flash. She turned to normal. She was stunned by the dean’s sudden move.

The dean turned around and sat on her seat. She said, “You have scared an extra-ordinary student of the university and as a punishment, I am suspending you for two weeks. Don’t take this punishment lightly because there is no witness on the spot. This is all I can do for now. Even your royal family is pressurizing me with all their might. I don’t give a d.a.m.n about your family. You’re dismissed. You should pray, that Mr. Osborn returns safely because despite being in touch with the church. We don’t have a clue where he ran off to?”

Kelly was shocked. She said in bewilderment, “What!? What do you mean?”

Dean clasped her hands and said with curiosity, “I mean Miss Kelly. He might got himself in the recent land sliding or been abducted by someone—”

“What!?” Kelly shouted in panic.

Dean disregard Kelly’s reaction over listening to her consent over Kim. She continued, “I know it’s a harsh reality but I believe wherever he is, he might be alive.”  She sighed and said lightly, “Well let’s hope for the best. You may leave.”

Kelly heaved for a moment and walked towards the door. But suddenly, dean said, “The power you’re cultivating it’s really hard to hold back when you get emotionally stressed, so learn to control or someone might get hurt because of your arrogance. I am not giving you two weeks off to slack off. Use these vacations wisely.”

Kelly was somewhat dumbfounded. She nodded her head and left the room.

d.a.m.n! She completely saw through me. Where the h.e.l.l she came from? If I hadn’t held back, who knew what happens next? She’s a real monster. I must remain careful around her. I think I should train some more often. I’d been slacking off, but no matter when I ever got mad at someone I really lost control my power. It’s all that b.a.s.t.a.r.d’s fault that I am in this position, she pondered. She went back to her dorm.

                                                   *****************************

A whole week pa.s.sed and there was no news of Kim. Kelly often visits boy’s dorm to confirm whether he’s back or hiding in his dorm but there was no sign of him.

I wonder where he ran off to. I really didn’t mean to scare him like that. G.o.d this power is really odd. When I was beating him up, he was scared. But what happened to him when he saw me when lights were out? He mentioned his mother. Something might had happened to him when he was young or maybe some nightmare he had recently? A question was raised in her mind while she was recalling. She always stuck at the point when she thought about when Kim was running away from her and calling her MONSTER. No matter how many times she tried, she couldn’t meet those loose ends.

As the time pa.s.sed her suspension was off and two weeks were gone just like a season. But on the other hand, there was no sign of Kim. At first she dodged all those un-necessary thoughts for few days but when Professor Issac inquired about him, her heart strings vibrate like crazy. She felt somewhat guilty. Falling into depth of desperation, she often skip cla.s.ses because just like professor Issac other professors also inquired about Kim. Even the first bencher, who Kim sat with for a couple of days, came to Kelly and asked about him.

Even tall and mightiest trees can fall she was just a woman. Even though Kelly was a strong girl but she couldn’t stand all the torture by herself and in the end she fall like a giant tree.

Bang, bang, bang….

“Coming…G.o.d! What’s with all this banging my door in middle of the night?” Natasha opened the door and saw Kelly was standing at her doorsteps. Her were red and swollen. Natasha was somewhat dumbfounded. Kelly hugged Natasha tightly. Natasha was in bewilderment due to Kelly’s sudden move. She was shaking. Natasha felt two warm drops felt on her shoulder. Natasha caressed Kelly’s back and asked in a caring tone, “Kelly…what’s wrong?”

Kelly was crying and couldn’t answer. She couldn’t calmed herself down due to the present circ.u.mstances.

“Kelly…let’s go in and talk about this, okay?” Natasha said with concern and closed the door.

Kelly nodded and went in with Natasha. Both sat on bed, Natasha was beside her. She put a blanket over Kelly’s shoulders. She made a hot cup of coffee for Kelly and gave it to her.

“Thank you”, she sniffed and rubbed her beautiful face with back of her hands.

I’d have never imagined that she would be like this. She is really a strong girl that I can say for sure. Now she is reflecting her own actions or you could say this is karma. Nevertheless, I am her only friend and besides she has nowhere else for her grievances. Natasha was thinking while looking at Kelly. Who was in a pitiful state!

When Natasha saw that Kelly was somewhat calmed down, she asked her in a soft tone, “What happened Kelly?”

Kelly answered in a haze, “No matter where I go. It’s always him….”

“You mean Kim?” Natasha asked in confusion.

Kelly nodded. She put the cup on the table nearby. She placed her elbows on her thighs, closed her eyes and said in a depressed tone, “In cla.s.s or outside the cla.s.s, whether in gym or cafeteria. It’s always about him. Whenever, I hear his name my heart feels guilty. I kept lying to myself that it wasn’t my fault. And as a result, after few days I began to feel some uneasiness in my heart that I couldn’t bring it down no matter what I do. It kept increasing. So, I thought, if I skip the cla.s.ses then I’ll be able to avoid all of this. But no matter where I go…his shadow always follow me, and it makes me feel miserable. It feels like his ghost is haunting me or something. So I thought of not going to cla.s.ses for few days. I thought, if I sleep maybe that can reduce my misery….but…”

Kelly started shaking. She lifted her head up and stared blankly. She said with a depressed tone, “But I can’t sleep peacefully anymore. Because whenever I close my eyes, his innocent face appears and a moment later………(sigh)….. I can see his face covered with all bruises…… sometimes I see him crying like a five year old kid……sometimes I see him smiling…….and…some…sometime (sniff) I see….him….(sobs)…..tell me…..Natasha…..”

Kelly placed her hand over her chest and sobbed, “Why…..have…….I become like this? What is….happening to me?” Tears rolled down her face. She covered her face with both of her hands so that Natasha won’t be able to look at her pathetic state. She was sobbing.

“You…big….idiot….haven’t you realized it yet?” Natasha asked her while pitying her.

“Realize what?” Kelly said bluntly.

Natasha moved near her. “You’ve fallen for him.” Natasha said delicately.

Kelly’s eyes widened. She stopped crying after hearing those words which came out of Natasha’s mouth. She looked at Natasha gravely. Natasha gave her a sweet smile and said, “You big dummy! You love him. That’s why you’re having these thoughts. And here I thought that something bad happened to you. Just don’t let those insignificant thoughts haunt you. Hope for the best and wait for him to come back.”

“But he must hate me for what I have done to him.” Kelly said while her feeling were in turmoil.

Natasha shook her head and said, “No, he will forgive you.”

“How come you’re so sure about this?”, Kelly asked her in bewilderment.

“It’s a woman intuition.” Natasha replied, her mouth curved into smile.
