The fair and delicate little hand stretched out from the blanket and wiped the tears at the corner of Su Bai's eyes without much experience. Su Bai became dazed; he turned his head around and climbed up. Both his hands held on to the edge of the blanket and carefully lifted it up.

The little fella who was wearing only a red dudou[1] was covering his face. He then slowly moved his hands away, looked at Su Bai and stamped his chubby little foot as he chuckled merrily.

Su Bai was smiling. The little fella was also smiling. Both adult and child were smiling together.

The little fella opened his arms wide towards Su Bai, asking for a hug. Su Bai opened his arms and hugged the little fella in his embrace as his face touched the little fella's face.

Su Bai had not shaven his beard since entering the story world. His beard poked the little fella's delicate face making him feel itchy. But Su Bai could see that the little fella really liked him.

He didn't like the monk and even Gyatso because they both had planned to eat him before this. That's why Su Bai was very sure that the little fella crawled into the demon cave on his own accord for himself and not the monk and others.

There were some things that the monk did not mention, but Su Bai could imagine that the monk must have told the little fella that he could only save Su Bai by entering the demon cave.

Su Bai placed the little fella on the bed. The little fella bit one of his own finger and gently kicked Su Bai's chin. Su Bai pretended to be angry and flipped the little fella over, gently patting his b.u.t.tocks.

If this scene was seen by people who understood Su Bai, they would be dumbfounded. Regardless of the real world or story world, Su Bai was a vicious and merciless person. Even the monk had no way of handling him and even ate a mouthful of dust. But Su Bai at this moment was like an ordinary father playing with his son. This scene was so harmonious that people would find it hard to accept.

"Meow."

The sound of a cat purring came from the window.

Su Bai almost forgot that there was still a cat by his side.

Lucky leisurely jumped in from the balcony. A plastic bag was hanging from its mouth, and there were two packs of milk inside.

Thinking back, the little fella and the monk's fox should have been transported out together with everyone else. At that time, Su Bai and the others were at the hotel clubhouse hot springs and the little fella and the fox were sent to their respective rooms.

Lucky had always been in the room. What Su Bai found surprising was that this cat that had always remained aloof was willing to personally get milk for the little fella to drink.

Su Bai received the bag from Lucky's mouth; the two packs of milk were still warm. He gently used his finger to make a small hole at the edge of the pack and pa.s.sed it to the little fella.

The little fella was indeed smart; he held the milk with hands and started to suck non-stop at the little opening. His little feet pointed upwards, and he rolled over left and right, eating and playing at the same time delightfully.

Su Bai changed his clothes and even shaved his beard. When he was almost done tidying up himself, the monk came knocking on the door.

"What's up?" Su Bai asked while biting his toothbrush.

"Time to eat."

"Oh. Wait a moment."

Su Bai finished tidying up and walked out of the bathroom while wiping his face.

The little fella was lying on the bed, and his one hand was gripping Lucky's tail. Lucky, unexpectedly, wasn't angry and just sat on the bed allowing the little fella to play with its tail. Su Bai found that surprising; it looked like this aloof cat Lucky treated the little fella well.

"We'll go down first. You come down when you are done." The monk shouted to Su Bai from outside. Looks like he went down together with Gyatso.

Su Bai walked towards the bed and carried the little fella up and said to Lucky, "We're going to eat, are you joining?"

Lucky sat on the bed motionlessly. It had always politely declined human food. Su Bai was no longer surprised, but when the little fella saw that the cat was not following, he felt anxious and reluctant to part with this kitty who brought milk for him. His eyes reddened and felt like crying.

Lucky looked at the little fella, jumped off the bed and walked to the side of Su Bai's foot.

"Yiya Yiya…."

The little fella saw that Lucky was following and happily clapped his chubby little hands.

They took the lift downstairs. The hotel provided food and beverage services downstairs. This type of scenic five-star hotel placed much consideration for their guest. There were even cultural performances by Qiang people[2].

The performances were relatively simple, tens of people wearing the Qiang traditional clothing singing and dancing. Su Bai remembered there was a Jiuzhai Music and Dance Show. However, it was not in this hotel but at an independent performance hall. That performance was more interesting than this performance but the performance here was to liven things up for dining guests here. Everyone here was just having fun and there were no particularly high demands.

The monk and Gyatso were sitting outside at a round table. They were momentarily shocked when they saw Su Bai carrying a child and followed by a black cat.

It was no issue bring a child along, but the crucial point was that he even brought a pet. Su Bai directly requested for a box on the second floor when the waiter came by. He then waved towards the monk and Gyatso and directly headed towards the second floor. He placed the little fella on a chair. Lucky jumped on the chair and sat together with the little fella.

The little fella was hugging Lucky with both arms. Lucky closed its eyes as if it was enjoying it.

Soon after, the monk and Gyatso arrived. When they saw the little fella, the monk placed his palms together and chanted Amitabha.

The little fella pouted, purposely not looking at the monk. Looks like his bad impression towards the monk would not wear off in a short period of time. After all, he was just a child and his thoughts were rather pure, unlike Su Bai and this type of old fox who could still happily dine together even after scheming against each other previously.

Lucky could feel the little fella's repulsion towards the monk. It straightened its body and used an abstruse gaze to stare at the monk.

The monk was just standing there feeling uneasy. It was clear that he was put in a predicament by Lucky's rising enmity and even killing intent.

Lucky was a cat raised by Litchi, and even till today, Su Bai couldn't understand it thoroughly. It always appeared lazily and had never been serious before. But when it came to treatment towards the little fella, Lucky had a serious att.i.tude and even had killing intent towards the monk because the little fella hated the monk.

Su Bai stretched his arm and patted Lucky's head, pacifying it. It was only then that Lucky s.h.i.+fted its gaze away from the monk. And curled up on the chair. The little fella learned from Su Bai's actions and reached out towards Lucky's head, patting it.

The monk heaved a sigh of relief. He did not sit down but spontaneously walked over.

"Su Bai, let me give him a blessing."

Su Bai was slightly surprised when he heard this. He basically felt that the status from the story world had not been fully withdrawn. He felt that the monk was up to something.

The monk understood Su Bai's hesitations and said, "With this cat here, I can't be up to any tricks, just pure baptism and blessings. Blessing him good fortune and good health in days that follow."

Su Bai nodded his head. It was indeed good fortune if the monk sincerely wanted to baptise and bless the little fella. From ancient times until now, only prestigious houses and n.o.bles were qualified to invite a senior monk to baptize their children. Even though the monk was shrewd and sophisticated, he was indeed a skilled, senior monk. His baptism and blessing was an opportunity that could only be met by luck and not sought after.

Gyatso also walked over and said: "No matter what, I owe him my life. I will also join in to give my blessings."

A Tibetan monk and a Central Plain monk were willing to give their blessings to the little fella. No matter if they tried to eat the little fella in the story world, right now, in short, it was a huge opportunity.

Su Bai would naturally not reject. Just as the monk said, if they had any bad intentions, Lucky would be able to feel it. The telegnosis of this cat was even scarier than what he could imagine.

He placed the little fella on the table. The little fella was feeling confused, and he subconsciously looked towards Su Bai.

"Don't be afraid, this is good for you." Su Bai appeased, and indicated to the monk and Gyatso that they could start.

There was a fixed number of children a truly skilled senior monk would bless his whole life. It would normally not exceed three people. That's why the quota was very precious. Su Bai really felt that the monk and Gyatso really wanted to make it up to the little fella for the harm they brought him. Most importantly, Su Bai could feel that the little fella touched their hearts by crawling all the way from the mountain to the demon cave.

"Maitreya Bodhisattva[3] Incantation Mantra : Om Pu Ta Mei Ti Mei Suo Ha"

When chanting, regardless of chanting with your mouth or with your heart, it was still virtuous. There would be no obstacles, you could have everything you wish for, lifespan, wealth, long term prosperity.

Gyatso started chanting, a ray of green light enveloped the little fella's body.

"Bhaisajyaguru[4] Incantation Mantra : Da Ya Ta Om Bei Kan Jie Bei Kan Jie Ma Ha Bei Kan Jie Re Ja Sa Mu En Ga De Suo Ha"

According to Buddhist scriptures, as long as you chant this mantra, it will help you avoid calamities, extend your lifespan; it will destroy all disasters, robberies, sickness and suffering and even gain immeasurable amounts of merit. The monk chanted this mantra and a light layer of light condensed in between the little fella's brows.

The little fella looked to the left and right. He was a little nervous, but when he saw no activity coming from Su Bai and the little kitty cat, he obediently sat on the table receiving the blessings.

The blessing lasted for fifteen minutes; the monk and Gyatso looked pale. This type of blessing had a high consumption towards them. It could be seen that they never held anything back this time.

After it ended, Gyatso and the monk sat on the chair and quietly concentrated on recovery.

Su Bai tore open the little fella's dudou and realized there were two imprints on his little tummy. One of it was the Buddhist 卐 imprint and the other was an imprint of a wolf's head.

These two fellas were really willing; it was not as simple as just a blessing. If the little fella faced any danger in the future, he could borrow Gyatso's and the monk's powers. This borrowed power would continue to grow stronger alongside Gyatso's and the monk's power as they reached a higher state. In fact, Su Bai felt that there was a high probability one of them would attain Buddhahood in the future.

At this moment, even Lucky's gaze towards the monk had softened.

When the little fella lowered his head to look at his little belly, he stretched his hand to rub it but realized he couldn't rub it away. He blinked his eyes and ended up crying.

He... found it ugly...
