HuaiNanZi stared at the maid for a while and frowned.

It was because that no matter how he looked, the girl with 2 hair buns looked like a normal commoner. Not a demon, nor a cultivator. On the part of her lotus-root-like arm which was not covered by her sleeve, there were even scratches left by branches.

The girl smiled, showing her teeth, her delicate white teeth: “I’m going to Wei City, too. You come with me.”

Li YunXin nodded: “Okay. I got a name, which is Li YunXin.”

The girl blinked with joy, and her eyelashes : “Yee? I have a name, too, and it’s Bai YunXin[1]!”

“Sounds beautiful,” Li YunXin said: “...but I can’t go. Look at her.”

He pointed at Qiao JiaXin who was on the ground: “She and I were good friends, but that guy killed her. So...”

The girl pouted: “Yeah. The little cat demon is in your body, she doesn’t smell good.”

This woman...sensed the cat demon by smelling. Li YunXin’s heart s.h.i.+vered a bit, but he soon relaxed. Before that, he was still worrying about how to explain to her why was he traveling with a demon.

Li YunXin knew that when facing this kind of horrible thing, he couldn’t be boring. In the eyes of these demons, human lives were like mole crickets and ants. They would easily tear someone up if they felt that he was boring.

He mush be funnier, like what he did when he met Lord Nine.

He must observe every tiny facial expression, movement and tone of speech of her to understand her emotions and thoughts, and what was her going to do, so that he could use her to get rid of his trouble.

Bai YunXin’s eyes shone slightly.

Then she turned back to look at HuaiNanZi.

The swordsman from the school was protecting himself with 3 flying swords, and stared at Li YunXin and Bai YunXin. When he heard this, he shouted: “Immortal lady, don’t seek trouble for yourself! That thug killed 2 of my junior brothers, and accompanied demons, so I--”

He suddenly stopped when he got to this part.

That was because he saw the maid which was standing not far from them, was also staring at him, and her eyes were s.h.i.+ning.

A greedy person’s eyes would s.h.i.+ne when he saw treasures, but it wouldn’t be like this-

Her eyes which were black and white suddenly turned jade green. In the night, the s.h.i.+ning eyes made her cute face look like the face of a ghost.

Then she opened her mouth, and the corners of her mouth cracked to her ears, and exposed the dense, sharp and thin teeth.

This mistress and her maid were also demons, not cultivators!

HuaiNanZi had been shocked. Now he understood that he needed all the skills he knew to escape from this. What he was more sure about, was that he must beat this demon, even if it meant that he would lose his 10-year progress of cultivation and the hope to proceed to higher realms. First of all, he must survive, then he would have chance to call for help, continue his cultivation and take his revenge.

His face turned angry. He shouted with the qi in his Dantian[2]: “Demon! You think I’m afraid of you--”

The maid’s neck suddenly extended, and swallowed HuaiNanZi’s head and the 3 flying swords which was guarding in front of him all together.

Then her neck shrank instantly. The maid closed her lips, furrowed her eyebrows, and looked at her lady: “Got no seasoning.”

HuaiNanZi’s headless body twitched for a while, then fell on the ground.
