Chapter 4 - I am his Younger Brother!

The monsters who had revealed themselves began to physically change their appearance. Some of them began to grow yellow fur from their skin as their eyes became dark green. Some of them began to grow a thick hide of skin on their faces as horns sprouted from their heads… All of them were manifesting monster characteristics. Furthermore, some held two sharp thorns in their hands, some were grasping a large battle axe and some were using flexible swords… These were the weapons those monsters were most skilled in using. Their strengths were not ordinary, their speeds varied as some were fast and others slow but even the slowest were still leaving phantom images of themselves midair; one could well imagine the speeds they were going at.

The monsters that had dispersed into a cloud of mist was even stranger, it was hard to see where exactly it was at. The sudden disappearance of one of the monsters caused the black-robed old man who was observing from the side to shudder in his heart: Invisibility? How would I fight this? These monsters are too horrifying.

Meanwhile, although the yellow-robed fat "Chu Yong" let out the order, he maintained his original position observing from the side. My seven subordinates are not that weak. The seven of them cooperating together are sufficient in ascertaining the strength of this mysterious expert.

When experts contended, sometimes there is only a fine line differentiating victory from defeat.

Understanding the limitations of the mysterious expert before him could help him gain the upper hand when they engage in combat.

"Seven?" Qin Yun stood there, unmoving.

"Shua! Shua! Shua!"

His right hand unsheathed his sword and quickly sheathed it back in.

Several dazzling gleams of swords scintillated midair like water snakes. The original five monsters who were leaping over became sprawled across the ground. The strange mist from before merged as one to become a corpse which quickly transformed into a panther. Behind Qin Yun, in the midair, a woman’s corpse also appeared and transformed into a snow mink… All seven monsters, one by one, fell to the ground, their weapons clanging as they escaped the monsters’ grasps. All the monsters eventually morphed back into their original forms, some were wolves, other panthers…. All seven of the monsters’ corpses were significantly larger than that of regular beasts. Yet, they only laid there, unable to move.

The black-robed old man who stood from afar didn’t dare to move and the lady dressed in pink went pale.

"Dead? Seven monsters are suddenly dead?" The black-robed old man found it all hard to believe, "His sword, I couldn’t see it at all!"

"What a good quick sword technique, did you depend on your spell eye to see through their hidden body technique?"

The yellow-robed fatty Chu Yong stood there, his voice low, "No wonder you dared to saunter here alone. However, coming to my territory was your worst mistake." As he said this, he slammed his left hand onto the armrest of his throne. This one slap used a tremendous amount of strength, causing the armrest to clack with a loud sound and sink down.

All the side-doors in the audience hall abruptly slammed shut. Simultaneously, the walls became filled with numerous holes, and the ceiling was the same.

"Not good." The black-robed old man’s expression became fearful and hopeless.

"Master." The lady dressed in pink also felt became desperate.

The yellow-robed fatty was still sporting the same ferocious grin as his head had transformed into a hideous pig head and he grew a thick layer of hair all over his body. His height swelled up until he was ten feet high. His clothes had already been already torn apart due to the growth.

Xiu Xiu Xiu…

From the dome of the hall, countless stingers of black light shot through the holes in the walls. Each was only as long as the size of a palm. The black light was densely packed together in a shroud going everywhere becoming completely unavoidable. Even the place where the wild boar monster ‘Chu Yong’ was standing was enveloped by the poison stingers.

Innumerable more stingers shot in. The black-robed old man and the lady dressed in pink were both penetrated by stingers, creating over a dozen holes on their body and were instantly killed, their eyes filled with despair.

Pu pu pu…

Even the long narrow table that was made of stone was easily penetrated by the poison stingers! The floor of the hall that was made of limestone was also filled with holes and cavities.

"When I built this place, I filled it with mechanisms with the sole purpose of taking on true expert." The wild boar monster ‘Chu Yong’ was looking eagerly before him.

Qin Yun slowly stepped forward.

His steps occasionally became a bit faster and stingers of poison would graze past his back.

His steps were sometimes a bit slower and stingers of poison would graze past his front.

Sometimes he would tilt slightly towards the left and stingers of poison would graze past his ear.

Sometimes he would tilt slightly towards the right and once again, stingers of poison would graze past his neck.

The poison stingers were coming from all directions and yet, Qin Yun seemed like he had eyes on the back of his head as he easily avoided all the stingers of poison.

"How is this possible?" The wild boar monster Chu Yong widened his eyes, "He, the poison is shooting at him from behind. He can’t see it so how can he dodge it? Unless…"

Qin Yun strode into the audience hall, appearing relaxed and doing as he pleased. He had externally released his psyche, shrouding over the surrounding areas so that even a speck of dust, which his physical sight could not see, he would be able to sense. Within the s.p.a.ce around him, there were plenty of openings which one could easily avoid the poison stingers.

His body only needed to make minor movements to avoid the ongoing poison stingers.

Occasionally, however, there were times it was difficult to avoid the stingers, Qin Yun only extended his right hand and with a light flick, the poison stingers that were flying at high speeds would be swept to the side.

A breath of time later.

All the poison stingers had been shot and finished. The audience hall had regained its silence with holes nearly everywhere.

The wild boar monster ‘Chu Yong’ removed the cattail-leaf fan from his eyes, all the hair on his body vibrated, as poison stingers fell from his body onto the ground.

"I’ve heard that the hides of wild boars are fairly thick. A wild boar monster like you actually using your body to resist those poison stingers is quite impressive." Qin Yun rarely complimented like this.

"Hmph, you easily deflected those poison stingers which means you reached the c.h.i.n.kless Stage. You can even release your psyche." The wild boar monster continued, "When you are capable of releasing your psyche, you are not that far from the Union of Heaven and Man. I never thought a great expert such as you would come to my territory."

As the wild boar monster said his piece, he reached out an arm to lift up a metal column. With a rumble, a thirteen-meter metal column was in the hands of the wild boar monster and he held it like a regular person holding a rod. He waved in a circle and the wind that it generated aggressively screamed. His power and momentum would cause one to be fearful, "Your cultivation is high but that doesn’t mean your actual skill is strong! I’ve slaughtered many human experts who had higher cultivations than me."

After he finished speaking, the wild boar monster rushed forward and fiercely swept around with the metal column – this metal column was at least a thousand pounds heavy. A sweep of it would be so forceful that it couldn’t be stopped. If one were to be scratched by it, they would be heavily injured and if they were hit by it, they would be dead.

"Shou."

Qin Yun abruptly bent down and avoided the swinging column above his head. In a moment, he unsheathed his sword.

Hua—

The glint of a blade drew across the wild boar monster’s stomach. During that moment of the slash, Qin Yun felt an immense amount of resistance, his sword managed to cut off a few hairs and when it had finally reached the wild boar monster’s thick skin, that skin was indeed firm and tenacious. With difficulty, he could only leave behind a white line and he had already exhausted his momentum.

"Hula." The wild boar monster Chu Yong brought the metal column backward and then stabbed towards his target.

And Qing Yun waved his sword back then rushed forward to dodge before returning a surprise attack.

Shoushoushoushou…

Qing Yun’s speed quickened to his limits while the wild boar monster Chu Yong attacked with his metal column and although his rod technique was rather powerful, he couldn’t even lay a finger on Qin Yun. At the same time, Qin Yun was slicing, stabbing, and even brus.h.i.+ng various spots continuously on the wild boar monster Chu Yong’s body. However, the deepest his sword had pierced into that thick skin was two inches but even then, his sword had not been about to penetrate the skin.

"Such a good thick hide of skin." Qin Yun took a step back as he clicked his tongue and sighed with feeling. "The skin is too thick, indeed it is too thick."

"Haha, I’ve already said it. Higher cultivation does not equate to stronger strength. Your sword cannot penetrate my skin so how will you fight with me? I only need to hit you once and you’re dead." The wild boar monster Chu Yong laughed loudly.

"Your skin is indeed very thick. Perhaps it is worthy of crossing swords with my ‘Misty Rain Sword Technique’." Qin Yun said, "This is a self-made sword technique I came up with on my own."

"Self-made?" The wild boar monster Chu Yong laughed, "A sword technique needs to be properly tempered and honed with revision. So what if it’s self-made?"

"Is that so?"

Qin Yun advanced forward.

"Die for me!" The wild boar monster Chu Yong swung his metal column forward and Qin Yun easily dodged. He also took out his sword, a hazy l.u.s.ter of his sword flashed like the misty rain of March, it seemed like all a phantom.

The wild boar monster Chu Yong pushed his metal column up, tipping the column down to block.

Pu.

The hazy glint of the sword and the metal column collided together, the metal column slowly changing direction while the glint of the sword followed along the metal column until it pa.s.sed through the wild boar monster Chu Yong’s belly! The wild boar monster Chu Yong originally ignored it because he was overly self-confident about his body. However, he immediately widened his eyes and frantically tried to cover his belly.

His body had been split into two. The top half and the bottom half were completely severed and they fell to the floor, covering it in fresh blood.

Qin Yun then sheathed his sword, putting it back into the scabbard.

The wild boar monster Chu Yong had a strong life force and he raised his head to look towards Qin Yun, "This, how is this possible, you couldn’t penetrate my skin before so how, how did you do it with one slash… It’s not possible, the skin I was born is so thick and I even went through body cultivation with techniques pa.s.sed on by a water G.o.d so how could your one sword cut my body apart, was that really your self-made ‘Misty Rain Sword’?"

"Correct." Qin Yun nodded.

The wild boar monster Chu Yong’s lower half had already returned to its true form and the upper half was beginning to revert back as well. He continued to stare at Qin Yun, "You killed me today because of that Qin An? Exactly who are you?"

He was unwilling to resign.

He had illegally occupied Guanglin City for sixty-eight years and here he was killed without even understanding why he was being killed by a mysterious expert.

Qin Yun glanced towards the wild boar monster and opened his mouth, "Correct, I killed you for Qin An! Because I’m his younger brother!"
