Chapter 152.1 - Personally punish her

“You dare!” Lou Lianxin heard this and couldn’t hold it in any more.

“Dare or not, that’s something that I decide on. What, in the Li residence, I can’t even have the right to punish a concubine-born concubine? Sheng’er, why don’t you say, should I be able to punish her for not respecting her elders?” The old madam’s eyes were dark as she looked to Li Jingsheng.

Li Jingsheng didn’t meet her eyes, looking down as his mood grew dark too.

Lou Lianxin suddenly ripped off her wedding veil, looking dazedly at him, “Jingsheng, I’m your wife. You’ll watch me be bullied like this?”

“Grandmother.” Li Jingsheng didn’t look to Lou Lianxin, politely lowering his eyes, “If you disrespect your elders, there should be a punishment. Seeing as she is your grandson’s person, I should be the person to punish her personally then.”

“ … Very good.” The old madam was satisfied.

Narrowing her eyes at the pale-faced Lou Lianxin, she mockingly jerked her mouth at her.

Did she really think highly of herself?

She was just a concubine-born girl that couldn’t even be shown off in public.

And in this whole capital, who didn’t know about that dirty things that she’d done?

She watched coldly and waited to see if her grandson was going to teach that woman a lesson!

Lou Lianxin looked at Li Jingsheng in disbelief, her breathing growing tense.

“Jingsheng, you’re … actually going to hit me?”

“This time, it was your fault.” His eyes were heavy.

He’d already grown frustrated at how Lou Lianxin had made things all tense, did she really think that he didn’t want to give himself face?

But it was a pity that he was still young and powerless, he couldn’t offend his grandmother.

All she had to do was just hold it in, just for a little, but she just had to speak out and talk back about Mrs Fan-Li.

Who in this whole Li residence didn’t know that Mrs Fan-Li was the most dearest part of the old madam’s heart?

“PA!” Li Jingsheng’s slap to her face, answered Lou Lianxin’s question.

Lou Lianxin’s face was slapped to the other side, her mind buzzing.

Her mind was completely blank and she couldn’t comprehend anything.

When the next slap came and hit her again, Lou Lianxin felt blood in her mouth.

Her throat rumbled with bloodthirstiness, so much that she wanted to roar in hatred.

But when she looked up, all she could see was coldness and mocking all around her.

Only then did she understand that this was the Li family, not the Lou residence.

There was no one to protect her.

The only person she had, was herself.

She silently took in Li Jingsheng’s second slap with a completely different att.i.tude.

Li Jingsheng’s eyebrows finally loosened a bit.

In actuality, he’d already lightened his second slap, putting less strength in his hand as he hit her face.

So even though it looked brutal and miserable, it wouldn’t actually hurt her.

Even though he didn’t like Lou Lianxin, it was the woman he’d married in and he wouldn’t actually kill her.

The old madam was then finally satisfied and waved at the senior aides.

“Alright, the old madam thinks that’s about enough. The second young master can stop now.”

“Yes, this grandson follows your order.” Li Jingsheng’s face was still expressionless as he turned around to the side.

 

Dongshuang and Dongxue quickly walked to in front of Lou Lianxin, using their handkerchiefs to press against the corner of Lou Lianxin’s mouth.

But she pushed them away, lowering her eyes, hiding her expression.

There was only the loosened threads of hair in front of her chest that irritated her bloodshot eyes.

“Kneel down!” The old madam suddenly bellowed harshly.

Lou Lianxin grit her teeth as she silently moved backwards.

She suddenly dropped to her knees, bending her head downwards to greet her.

“New bride greets the old madam. Aunty, please forgive me. Lianxin had just married and didn’t control her mouth, I’ll never do it again.” Her humbled att.i.tude, her respectful tone, all made Mrs Fan-Li feel better, spitting out that bitterness in her mouth.

She lifted up her chin, snorting out from her nostrils down at her.

But she didn’t tell Lou Lianxin to stand up.

The old madam didn’t move either.

Li Jingsheng lowered his eyes, walking over to her as he kneeled down next to Lou Lianxin, “Grandmother, aunty, please don’t be angry. Your grandson will kowtow to you.”

“Yes, ah, old madam. Don’t miss the lucky time, then it won’t be good.” The old madam’s senior aide reminded her.

The old madam then lifted up an eyelid, very slowly agreeing.

Lou Lianxin then let out a relieved breath.

But she suddenly heard footsteps next to her as she looked up.
