The sun had already sunk down past the horizon. At night, the field was extremely cold and the streetlights were dim. A while after the fatty and Yu Haining had left, w.a.n.g Guangning and Zhang Lingyi were still rooted to the same spot, motionless.

As a burst of cool wind blew by, Zhang Lingyi finally opened his mouth first, “Say, do you think that person just then was Yu Haining’s boyfriend?”

“What, you want to go for another round?” After seeing Yu Haining’s true colours, Zhang Lingyi’s fervour for her had completely turned into negative feelings. He didn’t believe that w.a.n.g Guangning would continue regarding Yu Haining pa.s.sionately.

w.a.n.g Guangning pursed his lips. Just this afternoon, he resented Zhang Lingyi until his teeth hurt, thinking that he must conclude the rivalry between them until the appearance of Yu Haining.  Yet, the only feeling left in his heart now was sympathy for his fellow sufferer as he gazed at the black eye he had given Zhang Lingyi. w.a.n.g Guangning thought that the two of them were really quite foolish, and a bitter pain emerged in his heart as he sighed in sorrow.

“You don’t want to get revenge on society?”

“Of course I do.” Zhang Lingyi shrugged, “I’ll go to the supermarket and buy a watermelon knife, then first chop up my roommate. If I don’t get arrested by tomorrow, I’ll cut down my cla.s.smates…en, and also cut down Yu Haining.”

“Tch.” w.a.n.g Guangning laughed.

“What about you? How are you going to get revenge on society?” Zhang Lingyi stared at w.a.n.g Guangning.

“Me?” w.a.n.g Guangning lowered his head in thought. Suddenly, his eyes glittered and he excitedly raised his head, “What do you think of engaging in h.o.m.os.e.xual practices?”

Zhang Lingyi couldn’t help choking, black lines appearing on his face¹, “Are you sure you’re getting revenge on society and not getting revenge on yourself?”

“You don’t understand,” w.a.n.g Guangning squinted his eyes in disdain as he ran his fingers through his hair. Adopting an elegant air, he said, “If a handsome man like myself who is popular with countless girls becomes gay, then wouldn’t it definitely cause many girls to get heartbroken? Being able to hurt them, yet not having to take responsibility, isn’t this the way to retaliate against society?”

“Ah, it seems to be so.” Zhang Lingyi touched his chin and considered the feasibility of this method. The more he thought about it, the more he believed that this was truly feasible. Women were so realistic, even the girl he had carefully selected, Yu Haining was actually such a woman. It seemed that becoming gay was better than having to take care of a woman.

Zhang Lingyi felt that a person’s life on earth was indeed as lonesome as snow, yet in heart he couldn’t help but worry, “What if people take it seriously? Wouldn’t we be despised?”

w.a.n.g Guangning waved his hand in a careless manner, “Whether other people take it as the truth, how does that harm the girls? Laozi will graduate in a year, I’ll only need to be gay until then. As soon as I step out of the school, this matter will be as good as forgotten.”

Zhang Lingyi’s heartbeat pounded incessantly as a result of his words. He thought of the scene where all the girls would be heartbroken after knowing he was gay, especially Yu Haining who after fooling him, finds out that he actually liked guys. She would definitely feel like she had been taken advantage of and be infuriated to death.

Such a scenario would be really moving!

His brain had already been muddled due to his anger, and he ignored whether this method was really going to feasible. All he was thinking of was ruthlessly counterattack against her and gaining back his face in front of Yu Haining.

“Good idea, how will we do it?” Zhang Lingyi rubbed his hands together in a vulgar manner.

“Hey, this was an idea I thought out. You’re not allowed to s.n.a.t.c.h it,” w.a.n.g Guangning warned.

“Did you apply a patent for it?” Zhang Lingyi shamelessly gazed towards the sky, pretending not to have heard anything.

“s.h.i.+t, are you asking for another beating?” w.a.n.g Guangning stood up and rolled up his sleeves, preparing to take action.

“Wait.”

At the moment when w.a.n.g Guangning was on the verge of rus.h.i.+ng in to fight, Zhang Lingyi’s voice sounded out, stopping him.

“What.” w.a.n.g Guangning was impatient. Zhang Lingyi definitely was his enemy in life, he was even trying to fight over a matter such as being gay. No matter what Zhang Lingyi said, he would beat him until he couldn’t be sympathised with.

“I suddenly realised that the matter of being gay is not a one man thing. ” Zhang Lingyi’s expression was quite mysterious, “w.a.n.g Guangning, haven’t you thought about who you will find to be gay with you?”

w.a.n.g Guangning narrowed his eyes, “You’re not thinking of acting as my partner, are you? In your dreams, laozi has many brothers. I don’t need you.”

“Don’t say that,” Zhang Lingyi appeared as if he still had other cards up his sleeves, “So what if you have other brothers? I don’t believe that someone will willingly want to pretend to be gay with you. You think that just because you’ve been hurt by a girl, other people won’t chase after them? “Fine, I’ll work together with you.” w.a.n.g Guangning finally gave up struggling and squinted at Zhang Lingyi, “Then, let’s set an agreement!”
