Ji Zhe Yan smiled mockingly at himself even as he lifted Ye Zhen Zhen up from the sofa. “You should change clothes first.”

Ji Zhe Yan set down the empty gla.s.s on the nightstand and helped Ye Zhen Zhen lie back down in bed. After covering her with a blanket, he pressed a thermometer against her armpit before furrowing his brows and walking away.

He soon returned with an ice bag in hand. Provoked by the cold compress against her forehead, Ye Zhen Zhen’s eyelashes fluttered open, allowing her to catch sight of Ji Zhe Yan sitting by her bed and thus fell asleep with her mind at rest. Ji Zhe Yan removed the thermometer and took a look—38.7℃.

Ye Zhen Zhen’s voice barely concealed a sob. When Ji Zhe Yan turned his head, the blanket was already stained with tears.

Ji Zhe Yan’s heart felt as if something had pinched it. He truly could not bear to see Ye Zhen Zhen’s tears. “Why are you crying?” He knelt down beside the bed and leaned down to kiss away her tears.

Ji Zhe Yan laughed and pressed a kiss to her lips again. “My immunity is very good.”

A long kiss later, Ye Zhen Zhen felt almost giddy. Ji Zhe Yan gasped for breath before laying down beside her. “Alright, quickly go to sleep.”
