"Look, I said I was sorry; I went too far, ok?"

Kyouya was in the usual clubroom at the usual time after school, but today he had an unusual att.i.tude.

Kyouya would not speak to anyone today.

Megumi-chan's freshly brewed tea was also getting cold.

"Hey, say something—"

He wouldn't react to anything the president said, either.

This was a lingering result of what had happened recently, specifically, the bullying. It was made all the worse by his momentary fantasy of being popular for once being shattered. Kyouya thought himself to be a peaceful defeatist; he wouldn't get involved in conflict if it could be avoided. After all, it was impossible to defeat someone who had already given up in the first place, and he could cut his losses.

But this time he must resist.

More specifically, giving the silent treatment.

"Really, I'm sorry. I was the one who came up with the scenario. Mao wouldn't stop asking me about it."

Of course, s.h.i.+on-san didn't receive a reply either.

Women were frightening creatures.

Kyouya had become untrusting of girls.

"That's not what I said. No, I'm sorry. I was probably subconsciously hoping to be spared of responsibility by bringing attention to Mao's large role in this.

In the middle of this strange atmosphere, even Kirara-san, who was eating meat in the middle of it all, kept looking from side to side with her ears raised in anxiety.

"Kyoro, eat?"

"Look, Kirara's giving you her meat, isn't that great?"

Of course, Kirara's offering of meat wasn't taken, either.

"Look, I told you I'm sorry—"

The president grabbed Kyouya's arm and waved it around.

Of course, Kyouya made no effort to follow along as his arm was being waved around.

"Come on, you'd do anything we said if we just flattered you a bit, it was too funny—"

"Mao, that's not how you apologize."

"Um..."

Megumi-chan raised her hand slowly.

"s.h.i.+nomiya-kun... are you mad, by any chance? Could you tell me what you're angry about?

She looked around at everyone's faces, searching for an answer.

The president lied down on the floor, exhausted. s.h.i.+on-san collapsed onto the table, her elbow somehow supporting her entire body weight. Kirara, meanwhile, just ate her meat silently.

Megumi-chan's "Angelic Vision" could not reveal any conflict or bullying to her.

Even the other day, Megumi-chan, who was giving Kyouya a shoulder ma.s.sage, probably didn't have any malicious intent. Kirara-san should be the same.

"Kyoro. Feeling. Down? Bad?"

Kirara-san looked at Kyouya with a worried face.

Now it felt almost as if Kyouya was doing something bad to everyone else.

Besides, it was taking all of his willpower to maintain his silence.

"Why... why are you so angry... what the h.e.l.l?"

The president, who was being ignored on the side, started speaking.

"You're just Kyoro, you can't get mad. You're always laughing and smiling even when you get bitten or made fun of. Don't get ahead of yourself."

Something ridiculous was coming out of her mouth.

Honestly, that annoyed Kyouya.

They had finally gotten to a point where they could start making up, too.

In the end, he would have to continue his silent protest.

"What the h.e.l.l... that's... not allowed... you're not allowed to be..."

The president let out a sniffle.

Huh? Kyouya was caught off guard.

"Prez...?"

That was the first time Kyouya had spoken today, he turned to look at the president.

He could only see her back.

"Shut up! Don't look at me!"

The president said, with her back still turned and her shoulders trembling slightly.

"Um..."

Kyouya looked around at everyone while scratching the tip of his nose and received three nods in return.

Gathering up his determination, he directed his voice toward the tiny shoulders in front of him.

"Prez, I'm not mad, I was just pouting. Please don't tease me so much. I won't pout if you do that.

"Y... yeah. Got it, but give me a few minutes."

The president said without turning her head.

Girls weren't so scary after all.
Kyouya: Girls are scary.

Kirara: Meat. Eat?

Kyouya: Also, meat buns are scary.

Kyouya: Prez, are you done yet?

Mao: Give me one more box.
