The perimeter is covered with a wall that defends against outside invasion

The sky also has a barrier over it so even people that can float can't enter

I can see the barrier thanks to the support from the magic stone s.h.i.+n-sama gave me

Although I tested out shooting magic, the power of the magic I can let out has become quite strong

I was told I was stronger compared to the average human magician, but it doesn't really feel real

I mean, I was a dunce, I'm someone who prefers cooking to magic after all

A peaceful country

We don't have to live in fear of demons

The only special one is Rune

It's become that they are always together, as if s.h.i.+n-sama has him tied up [to his side]

Rune was made perpetually young by s.h.i.+n-sama, so living like normal there's hardly any chance of him leaving s.h.i.+n-sama['s side] and dying

He still has to have meals, no matter how perpetually young he is he would still probably die [without eating] though

Rau grumbled about it a bit and the surroundings understood

Since we know that Rune receives the most favor

Since he became s.h.i.+n-sama's wife, Rune was told to do nothing

Even going to town, he just stays in s.h.i.+n-sama's arms

I heard about it once, but it seems like Rune wanted to help out, but if he tries to do anything his legs would be cut off…….is what was said

It was said that he only has permission to help out in his free time only while s.h.i.+n-sama is sleeping, but his actions are quite restrained

Rune not being allowed to do anything, does it have some sort of significance?

If it's just out of his [s.h.i.+n's] desire to monopolise it's a bit too much

Or is it, out of fear he'll be targeted out of jealousy for being s.h.i.+n-sama's wife?

Certainly, Rune is someone to feel envious of

Although s.h.i.+n-sama made Rune his wife, it's not like he said that he has no interest in women

It seems in his previous existence he's also embraced women

Perhaps because of that Rune is scared over whether s.h.i.+n-sama will throw him away someday

Even though he's probably the most blessed in this world, even though he seems happy, he feels anxious

However, when you come to like someone to that extent, there will also be jealousy

Although s.h.i.+n-sama made Rune his wife, it's not like he's cold to other people

Although he holds Rune with his right arm, he'll have either Rau or the orphan Alba in his other arm

He'll also use his hand to pat the head of Dea or me

The way he interacts with his surroundings up to now, is the same

s.h.i.+n-sama hasn't changed

Although he keeps Rune near, that's it

The things s.h.i.+n-sama can do, are always completely astounding

The children have a school to attend and he's arranged pay for teachers

When trade and diplomatic relations with other countries start, I was told that people from foreign countries would come

Since me being s.h.i.+n-sama's slave hasn't changed, I was told there's no need for me to earn a profit

I don't need a profit to live like other people do

However, he told me it was fine to treat others to my cooking

s.h.i.+n-sama intended to directly pa.s.s on to me the methods of other world cooking

The recipes that s.h.i.+n-sama knows are very unusual, but either way they're tasty

However, even though I make it the way s.h.i.+n-sama taught me to I can't make it as skillfully as s.h.i.+n-sama

I still need to practice more

I understood that s.h.i.+n-sama is quite skillful at cooking

He says since it's troublesome he doesn't do it much, but lately it seems he's often making food for Rune

Since I'm not cooking food for Rune, I immediately knew

During mealtime, Rune doesn't show his face in the dining room

Occasionally he come to the dining room, but it's very infrequently

However, it's not  like that everyday

Since s.h.i.+n-sama sleeps so often

When he falls asleep, he won't open his eyes for a while

He'll continue to sleep for several days, I heard it from Rune and Rau, but it seems he doesn't move much in bed, not even to do things like turn over

I don't know why he needs so much sleep, but since s.h.i.+n-sama has no need to eat he can do that [just keep sleeping]

s.h.i.+n-sama fell asleep and after a long absence Rune came to town to deliver the food I made

It seems s.h.i.+n-sama likes him to dress up and Rune always has on magic stone accessories, but perhaps because he's going to be running around today he's not wearing those kinds of things

He's wearing ordinary clothes

……although I say they're ordinary, they're quite superior compared to the clothes that the people in town wear

"He-y, everyone! It's your food"

He calls out to Rau and the others

It seems he likes children

When he's together with Rau and the others he gives off the sort of feeling of being a big brother that children like

It's quite different from the feeling he gives off when he's together with s.h.i.+n-sama

"Ah, it's Rune—!"

"Rau, did you properly wash your hands?"

It seems Rune will soon turn 23, and I have already made plans to help make the cake at that time

However since Rune's become perpetually young, his appearance will remain unchanged from now on

Although I don't really feel it now, from now on after many years pa.s.s I'll probably get it

Beastmen and humans have short lives

Compared to the surrounding [children's] growth to adulthood which is easy to see

It seems Rune is liked by the children

Haju, the spirit child that s.h.i.+n-sama protected, is still cautious towards adults

Rather than saying he's scared of s.h.i.+n-sama, it seems more like he's just tense when they are together

The sole exception and the only adult that he can call out to normally, is just Rune

He won't call out or approach even me

It seems his vigilance has loosened up enough that he can come and return his now empty dish to me though

"Sparklies, your always wearing them lately"

"They're pretty too"

"Does Haju also want some?"

He thinks hard about it, but as long as you're in this country I don't feel like magic stones are really necessary

My magic power has risen thanks to a magic stone, I'll even occasionally teach magic cla.s.s in the school

There is no danger in this country

If something did happen, it would be when the country opened and other country's humans and such came

In the world of s.h.i.+n-sama's previous existence, it seems there was a custom of giving a ring to your spouse

Attached to it is a black magic stone

Since it feels like black is s.h.i.+n-sama's color, it seems like it's implying that he's s.h.i.+n-sama's thing, but it seems that's not it

Magic stones that increase both attack and defense are deep blue like the ones Rune wears

Ones that increase defense are red stones like what Dea and Rau have on

Ones that increase magic power are yellow stones like the one I have

Ones that are used to contact s.h.i.+n-sama are the light blue stones

I learned that the magic stone's color varies according to use

I was taught that green ones increase speed and ones that increase strength are orange colored

From the start, until I met s.h.i.+n-sama, I didn't even know about the existences of magic stones

Since it seems even the well-informed Dea didn't know either, me not knowing isn't anything strange

After asking what kind of effect a black colored magic stone had, s.h.i.+n-sama said something surprising

"Restraint magic"

Because his explanation was too concise, after hearing the full details both Dea and Rune were surprised

"Rune, as a beastman, can't use magic from the start. Even if I give such a guy a yellow magic power increasing magic stone, there would be no meaning. Like this, for a guy that can't use magic power, it's a magic stone that makes a magic usable…..which means, he can only use restraint magic, though. He can use it when he's surrounded by a crowd or such"

Even though everyone was flabbergasted, s.h.i.+n-sama continued on just like usual

It seems that he doesn't understand just how amazing the things he can do are
