Chang Zheng (Part 2)

When the host read the winner of the Best Actress award in the Jinhua Award Ceremony, people did not express any applause.

Everyone was silent and they all looked to the man who was wearing a black suit who stood up slowly and firmly went to the podium.

Some people began to sob.

Chang's took the trophy of Zhong Qing. The camera focused on him. When the screen was enlarged, everyone saw his finger having a ring, making it extra conspicuous.

Everyone knew that Zhong Qing was accidentally killed when she went to the airport to meet Chang. But for some special reasons, only a very few people believed that the original goal of the killer was to kill Chang, and not Zhong Qing.

After the death of Zhong Qing, the media noticed the ring on Chang’s finger.

The camera turned to Chang’s face.

That time, most of the people noticed that Chang became thinner after the incident of Zhong Qing.

His face remained handsome, but there's more than a layer of indescribable depression and melancholic temperament. Obviously, he was also blessed in physical appearance like Zhong Qing, so everyone thought that they're perfect for each other, like soulmates.

Unfortunately, his soulmate was already gone.

“I’ve come to receive this award for my beloved Peach …” Chang said it with a very low voice.

He knew he was selfish to receive that award.

Obviously, until her very last breath, he didn't get response about his feelings for Zhong Qing. For him, he was stubborn enough to get the "Yes" from Zhong Qing even if he got rejected by her many times. He still blamed himself of Zhong Qing's death – because of his stubbornness.

Few days after the Jinhua Award Ceremony, everyone thought that Chang would be affected, but it seemed like the opposite.

It seemed like he moved on quickly after what happened to Zhong Qing and began taking active roles in making films and endors.e.m.e.nts. He became more and more popular as a local and international actor because of his reputation winning an Oscar award as a Best Actor in the Jinhua Award Ceremony.

A lot of people began to be confused and questioned Chang. They said that he seemed taking advantage about what happened to Zhong Qing's death.

"Has he moved on quickly on what happened?"

"I think he just takes advantage of the news about Peach's death, He previously expressed that he was so sad, but now… It seems like he's not!"

Chang never refuted those comments about him.

Chang never had any bad gossip in his life except after the Jinhua Award Ceremony. But he just ignored them and always wore the ring on his finger which he was supposed to give to Zhong Qing.

At the age of 39, when he got his second Oscar award as a Best Actor, he became an international media sensation. But Chang ignored all the praises that he was experiencing.

That night, Chang turned on the light in his room. His a.s.sistant who lived next door woke up and heard the faint cries from Chang's room.

Since that day, Chang’s body began to weaken rapidly.

Unfortunately, they couldn't find any cause why his body was becoming weak, but his vital signs were falling day by day.

When his condition was announced, the whole celestial entertainment circle were shocked and the fans wept and said they could not accept it.

Chang refused to go to hospital for treatment and refused to see anyone except Chenjie.

Chenjie went to the hospital to see Chang.

He sat on the balcony. His appearance was still young and handsome but his hair turned all gray like an aged man.

His body was in a very bad condition, but the whole person’s aura seemed to peace up.

“Oh, you are here.” Chang smiled at Chenjie.

Chenjie looked at Chang as if he was the only person that she knew, but she did not try to persuade him.

Because she knew that the man would have died already a long time ago.

After so many years pa.s.sed since Zhong Qing died, his heart also went along.

He was still alive but he seemed to be a walking dead living on earth.

Chenjie already knew and found herself dumb on her own voice while opening her mouth.

She forced her eyes wide open, holding back the astringent and said, “…Take care of yourself.”

The two did not speak for a long time.

Chang suddenly turned away, Chenjie thought that he will go to sleep, but Chang suddenly said:

“I have kept her waiting for so long."

Chenjie couldn’t hold back the tip of her nose. She didn’t turn back and she walked out.

That was the last time Chenjie saw Chang.

The next day, the legendary actor, Chang, died at the age of 39.

All of his inheritance was donated. Only ashes were found and buried in the tomb that was his will and chosen many years ago.

Life cannot be the same as the quilt, but the same point applies after death.
