Peony, The Flower Fairy

Since then, the two sides formally had an agreement. Zhong Qing started to live in a small courtyard, hidden in the palace, which no one knows about except Yan Yan.

“Just eat one bowl!"

In a still dim but a very clean room, Zhong Qing looked at Yan Yan with a harsh tone on her voice.

Living alone for five years, the little boy did not eat normally, that's why his body seemed to be very weak and he seemed to have a big problem in his stomach. She had to take care of him.  Step by step, Zhong Qing needed to adjust the little boy's daily routine especially the condition of his stomach, which she estimated as one of her biggest problem.

He changed his clothes and his face was already clean.

Seeing this little boy reminded her of Queen Zhang who was a former queen also famous because of her beauty. Yan Yan obviously and undoubtedly looked like her although he was thin, with a small face, and delicate, but really handsome.

The little boy went to Zhong Qing and looked at her with wet black eyes, blinking, and said, “Sister Peony, I'm still hungry …”

Peony was the name of Zhong Qing in this world.

Supposedly, Yan Yan should call her directly as a "Master", but she simply let him call her a "Sister" because she thought that for Yan Yan, it was a bit strange and unfamiliar if she will be called a "Master".

Seeing this little wolf cub vicious against the appearance of people, he then upturned his face like a baby and Zhong Qing simply couldn't resist.

She somewhat saw a little Chang in front of her, handed the small bowl to him, and decisively said, “Fine! Only eat half of bowl, okay?"

Yan Yan's eyes became narrow.

He looked down on the rice in the bowl and half smiled because he knew the other one was the best set.

Zhong Qing did not need to eat these whole grains. She put her hands into her cheeks while watching Yan Yan eat.

However though, it was only just a small spell of her magical powers that she used to get food for Yan Yan so she was rest a.s.sured that there was no problem with that.

But what if they found out?

"I believe that they will never find out that I used my magical power to get food for Yan Yan. Who will know how many steamed buns of chicken I get if they make so much food every day in the kitchen of the Imperial Palace?" Zhong Qing thought while she was happily watching Yan Yan eating.

Their daily routine was that after they eat, they will rest for half an hour. Yan Yan will read four books and then after an hour, he will study the Five Cla.s.sics military strategy.

Then every night, Zhong Qing will give Yan Yan a bowl of medicine soup with a strong smell. This was specifically used to regulate Yan Yan's body, to have a strong muscle bones.

Basically, this is Yan Yan's schedule. Everyday, it was arranged to brim.

But he never complained that his life was much better now compared previously when he can do nothing with his hunger.

While for Zhong Qing, there were some things she did not understand. But for her, it didn't matter anymore. For as long as she did not understand, the System surely understood it.

Yan Yan’s perception was indeed high, and in many things, he was almost always in a point of penetration.

Zhong Qing wanted to be sure that even after five years, if Yan Yan's own wit and her teachings to him were combined, this little boy will have knowledge about everything and also the moral wisdom of life. For sure, in all his learnings, he will be successful to defeat those who hurt him and his mother.

As time pa.s.sed by, Yan Yan can also slowly feel that this Peony fairy was such a good luck to him and also felt that she was repaying for what he and her mother did on taking care of her.

His att.i.tude softened and Zhong Qing felt it.

Although this kind of thing was a little cynical, it was undeniable that since the death of his mother, there was no one concerned of Yan Yan before, that was why this felt somewhat indifferent for him – warmth feeling.

Her heart was relieved; the child who once had a heavy heart now softened, which took great effort to remove the pain on his heart.
