The silver-haired Guard Captain stood there, his silver armor making an impressive sight. He radiated a powerful energy that warped the s.p.a.ce around them, creating fissures in the air. His power was evident.

Qingfeng Li activated the clairvoyance in his right eye. Looking closely, a hint of surprise appeared in his eyes. He realized that the armor that the Guard Captain was wearing was actually a Monarch Level Cla.s.s One spiritual treasure. No wonder he acted so c.o.c.ky.

Qingfeng Li tapped the air in front of him with a finger, and opening its ma.s.sive maw, the Wolf G.o.d Law bit down heavily onto the silver-haired Captain’s Sky Lasher Fist. With a loud crunch, the fist was gone.

The expression on the face of the silver-haired Captain changed, his eyes filled with disbelief. He had never have thought that his strongest attack would be dispelled so easily by Qingfeng Li. How could the Monarch Law Qingfeng Li used be so powerful? He felt his heart skip a beat.

Struggling, the silver-haired Guard Captain stood up from the ground. He wiped at the blood on the corner of his lips as he glared at Qingfeng Li bitterly. “Stand aside,” he said, “let him enter the city.”

The Sky Wolf Emperor, Mengyao Xu, Black Puppy, the Sky-Devouring Snake, and the Lingyun Emperor all followed Qingfeng Li as he walked quickly through the city gates.

Behind them, the silver-haired Guard Captain glared at Qingfeng Li with eyes filled with spite and killing intent. Qingfeng Li had made him lose face today; if he could, he would have killed him right there and then.

However, the silver-haired Captain was aware that Qingfeng Li was stronger than him. He had also set the terms himself, so he couldn’t go back on his word. He had to take this loss gracefully, or it would be a stain on the reputation of the Lord of the Emerald Lake City. If the City Lord presses charges then, he would also be punished.
