The great compound of the Lin Family was located here.

This is a place that covered a few dozen hectares of land, with a few hundred houses and more than ten different parks within it. Every building was richly decorated, creating a dazzling sight.

The current head of the Lin Family was Lin Yuan Shan. He has three sons and two daughters.

Like most family clans, the Lin Family possessed many businesses, and the most important of these was the Beast Garden. The specialty of the Lin Family is the breeding and taming of different types of wild beasts, even Fiend Beasts.

If one were to search across the whole human population, not many possess the ability to do that.

Fiend Beasts, as represented by its name, were naturally fiendish and fierce by nature, making them hard to tame and control. However, the Lin Family used the remains of the demon beast found by their ancestor to obtain the ability to tame certain types of Fiend Beasts and selling them to the various n.o.ble Clans. Through this, they established their current achievements.

The Beast Garden was located at the back portion of the Lin Family's compound; it was also the current destination that Su Chen was currently heading towards.

He naturally wasn't there to steal the Fiend Beasts kept by the Lin Family. His target was the small house, where Gu Qing Luo is staying, located on the edge of a lake that is near the Beast Garden.

It was a beautiful lake with large patches of white reeds. One could occasionally see some black swans playing in it. When Su Chen was young, he snuck in there to play before but was eventually caught by the Lin Family and sent back home, getting a great beating from his parents. That time, Su Chen held his hurting b.u.t.t and swore to never go there again, yet he has once again came to visit this lake today.

However, Su Chen wasn't worried of the consequences.

He was a blind man. Even if he were discovered, he would say that he had taken the wrong road.

By relying on this bit excuse, Su Chen courageously venture forward.

As he followed the road cutting through the beautiful and secluded forest, Su Chen quickly exitrf the forest.

In front of him appeared a blurry water surface.

He has reached the small lake.

Although he was unable to see the beautiful scenario, but in his memories Su Chen still could recall his way around here, and so, slowly proceeded to the small house.

As the small house nearly enters his vision, Su Chen suddenly heard some noises of feet crus.h.i.+ng leaves to his left.

The noise wasn't loud but it was easy for Su Chen to capture and he quickly hid behind a large tree.

As the noise of from those footsteps neared, it could be determined that there were two individuals approaching.

The unlucky part was that the two individuals were heading towards Su Chen's direction. Their movement speed was quick, Su Chen only hesitated for a moment before he lost his chance to leave.

He was now unable to move away, and even if he wanted to, could only remind hidden behind the tree.

Fortunately, the two individuals stopped after reaching nearby.

A deep hoa.r.s.e voice spoke,"Ok, there isn't anyone around, let's talk here."

A rough voice replied, "We have a problem, it seems like Yue Wu Ti got wind of something, he is currently checking up on Cloud Creek Society."

"How much did he manage to investigate?" the hoa.r.s.e voice asked.

"Unclear, I only know that he had a meal with the a.s.sistant chief and later that night, the a.s.sistant chief committed suicide. That guy died too quickly, we were unable to interrogate him for answers.

"d.a.m.n it!" the pitch of the deep voice went slightly higher: "That b.a.s.t.a.r.d must have leaked a portion of our secrets. Did he know a lot?"

"Not much, but he was in-charge of getting purple quartz and rock powder, and a.s.sisted us with three of such deals. Just with this and with Yue Wu Ti's intelligence, it might be very possible for him to figure something out…"

"It is not 'very possible' but 'definitely'! There's still another year before the Spirit Burial Altar opens. It will be more than enough time for Yue Wu Ti to discover everything. We absolutely must not let him continue his investigation!" The deep voice angrily said.

After a moment, the deep voice added: "Get Night Sting to make a move; kill him!"

"Yes!"

As he heard those words, Su Chen's heart was madly beating uncontrollably.

He was after all still a fifteen year old, and could not help but feel fl.u.s.tered when he heard news regarding an a.s.sa.s.sination; he could not help but to take a small step back. Although the sound of the leaves crunching from his step was very light, but noise was noise.

That sound was like thunder to the ears of the two nearby.

"Who is it?" The deep voice immediately came.

Su Chen knew that he was in trouble and quickly ran, however, a gust of wind had already reach him as a powerful force strikes Su Chen's back, causing him to fly forward.

Su Chen rolled a few times on the ground after the impact, in front of him, already stood two men.

One was covered in a black attire and has a face that looked exceptionally ancient, the other was a young man wearing a green robe.

Seeing Su Chen's face, the young man in green surprisingly said: "Su Chen? How come it's you?"

"You know him?" The ancient looking man asked.

"Old Mulberry, he is Su Chen, the fourth young master of the Su Family, a blind man." The young man who replied was called Lin Xie, he had met Su Chen on multiple occasions and managed to recognise him immediately.

"Blind?" The old man looked at Su Chen, seeing his dull eyes as he moved backwards while seated on the ground, feeling his way as he retreated, changing directions when his back b.u.mps into a tree. From the way he acted, how could he escape from healthy people.

Indeed, a blind man.

The old man sighed in relieve and said, "Kill him."

"Yes." The young man replied and walked towards Su Chen.

Su Chen sensed an incoming danger and immediately reacted by standing up and madly das.h.i.+ng after turning away from them. Surprisingly, his speed wasn't slow.

Fortunately for him, the route he ran off to unexpectedly had no trees blocking him and allowed him to stumble away without knocking himself over.

Just as the old man was about to chase him, the young man said, "Old Mulberry, leave that kid to me. There are Lin Family guards patrolling in front, it is better if you avoid them. We woud be in trouble if members of the Lin Family saw you."

Hearing his words, Old Mulberry paused his steps, "Then… I will leave him to you."

After saying so, he ignored Su Chen and immediately left - An official Origin Master dealing with a blind man of the Forged Body stage, he could think of any reason for him to be worried about this matchup.

Seeing Su Chen madly run away, Lin Xie smiled maliciously and chased after him.
