Chapter 123   - I Don’t Trust You

The two Jiao Dragons abruptly stomped their feet on the ground, the deceleration from movement to stand still happened in only a split second. Zhong Yue overlooked the two monster Qi Pract.i.tioners that hindered his path and s.h.i.+fted his sights to that Senior Martial Brother Lu, before finally falling onto the young lady hiding behind that monster senior martial brother. He furrowed his brows and commanded, “Move.”

Senior Martial Brother Lu was startled, he shook his head as he laughed, “Ever since I was born, no monster has ever dare to speak to me like this before, do you know who I am?”

Zhong Yue then turned his gaze back to him, looking down from above, he asked, “Then what ident.i.ty do you hold?”

Senior Martial Brother Lu simply smiled while maintaining his silence.

One of the Qi Pract.i.tioners before him took a step forward and stomped his feet abruptly on the ground. A patch of soil bulged out beneath Zhong Yue and suddenly —Dang!— stone pillars shot up abruptly and shot towards the Jiao Dragons’ belly. He sneered coldly and said, “Senior Martial Brother Lu is the young master of the Lord of Fengsha Island! Heard of the Fengsha Island? It stands alongside the Sulphur Island and Jinxiu Island. The Lord of Fengsha Island also stands alongside with the Lord of Sulphur Island and Lord of Jinxiu Island! If you are smart enough, you’ll turn back now and leave!”

Zhong Yue stood on the dragon heads while the Jiao Dragons lifted their legs and writhed their bodies as their giant claws flailed in the air. All of a sudden, they groped towards the protruding stone pillars and rose along with it, allowing them to get out of the reach of the other extruding stone pillars, keeping them from harm's way.

The stone pillars crisscrossed one another like deer horns.

One of the Qi Pract.i.tioner asked with killing intent, “Why do you even talk nonsense to him? Just kill him already!”

Senior Martial Brother Lu raised his hand and stopped them. He gave a warm bright smile and asked, “This brother, I’m going to protect Zhu Xian’er, do you have any objections?”

Zhu Xian’er heaved a breath of relief, she dispersed the monster G.o.d Ming King’s body, along with her spider monster form, changing back to the figure of a charming and alluring young lady. She smiled flirtatiously, “Thank you Senior Martial Brother Lu. This dragon is so impervious to reasons, he had a.s.saulted me the first moment we met. If it weren’t for senior martial brother and his timely aid, I’m afraid I’ll no longer be living!”

Her beautiful eyes flashed, thinking to herself, This dragon knows a lot of my secrets and also those of the insect race. He must be eradicated! With the three of them and in addition to I myself, killing him will be a very easy task!

“With me here, no one can ever hurt you!”

Senior Martial Brother Lu placed his hands on his back, he glanced at Zhong Yue and said with all pride and conceit, “Dragon, this is not the East Ocean, it is the East Barren and certainly not a place for you to rampage as you like. If I’m protecting her, who dares hurt her?”

Zhu Xian’er lifted her head up and responded, “Senior Martial Brother Lu is so striking! A man like Senior Martial Brother Lu is just what I’ll fall in love most, my little heart is thumping as if a little deer is banging on me….”

“Little deer banging you?”

Senior Martial Brother Lu guffawed, “Junior Martial Sister Zhu, I’ve longed since wanted to have some little deer banging you thing to happen between us. Wait till I’ve dismissed him away, then you and I can both have some quality time together. Dragon, what are you still waiting for, why haven’t you left yet?”

Zhong Yue calmly shook his head in response, “I’m going to kill her, and there is nothing you can do to stop me.”

Senior Martial Brother Lu laughed out loud. He sneered disdainfully out of the corner of his eye at Zhong Yue, “Is it that you would not shed a tear until you see the coffin with death staring you in the face? Just an untamed wild animal of the dragon race.  You don’t even know where you came from and yet you dare swagger in front of me? Come on, you can go all out and try for yourself!”

He waved his hand in the air and wrapped his arm around Zhu Xian’er’s hourgla.s.s waist and said smilingly, “Dragon, I would very much like to see how you would, right in front of me, kill Junior Martial Sister Zhu!”

Just as his voice faded away, Zhong Yue took a step forward and his figure seemed to disappear as he shot forwards with an obscene speed. The two monster Qi Pract.i.tioners released a fierce cry, and totem patterns emerged on the surfaces of their skin – the totem patterns of the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】! One after another, arms extruded from beneath their armpits, and with each of them on one side working in tandem, they struck at Zhong Yue from his flanks!

Senior Martial Brother Lu caressed Zhu Xian’er’s baby-like countenance, he smiled and said, “Junior martial sister, don’t worry, my Fengsha Island is right on the East Ocean, even the dragon race would have to give my father some face….”

Krong!

Three bodies collided with one another, the two monsters let out guttural and m.u.f.fled groans of pain as their punches met with Zhong Yue’s fist. Instantly, the sounds of bone cracking could be heard and the monsters’ grotesquely deformed, their skin was torn apart and their ligaments were ripped from their attachment point to the bone. The splinters of their ravaged bones could be faintly seen protruding out from their flesh – white and macabrely terrifying!

Peng Peng——

Zhong Yue thread past the middle of the two Qi Pract.i.tioners while he punched a hole in each of their chests to send them flying. Their chests sunk into a huge crater as and the residual power completely caused their bodies to cave with the indelible mark of the devastating punch. The broken rib bones could be seen piercing through and extruding out from their skin!

In the blink of an eye, Zhong Yue stopped abruptly as he was already facing squarely with Senior Martial Brother Lu.  In an indifferent and imperious tone he commanded, “Hand her over.”

Senior Martial Brother Lu was shocked and furious at the same time, he quickly faltered backward while he noticed the tragic fate that befell the other two monster Qi Pract.i.tioners as their lifeless figures were unmoving on the ground — their internal organs were unequivocally crushed and granulated to fine mush.

They each had the same starting point, learning the same prologue of【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】at the same time and under the same circ.u.mstances. Yet, the prowess displayed in Zhong Yue’s rendition of the art was worlds apart from his opponents’. The two Fengsha Island monster Qi Pract.i.tioners were not even able to survive their first bout against Zhong Yue!

One had to know that the two dead monster Qi Pract.i.tioners were not minor figures of mediocrity. In fact, they were among the creme of the crop, preeminent figures among their peers and disciples of the Fengsha Island Lord. The fact that they were able to accompany Senior Marital Brother Lu in his quest to attain the closed-door disciples.h.i.+p under the saint city lord was a testament to their talent and exceptional perception.

Among the Rebirth Qi Pract.i.tioners of Fengsha Island, they were also considered as the pinnacle figures among experts. Or otherwise, they would not have been able to elucidate the abstrusity to cultivate the prologue of the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】.

However, the sudden death of the two experts very clearly demonstrated the vast disparity in their attainments and that of Zhong Yue’s in the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】 This disparity translated into the great differences in their prowess!

He had elucidated the quintessence of the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】!

Senior Martial Brother Lu was shocked, he carried the beauty in his arm and retreated back with great speed. A single leap brought him a thousand feet away. His other arm clasped over the horn on his head and hurled it fiercely at Zhong Yue!

Keng Keng Keng!

Rattling noises burst out, the bifurcated deer horn split into segments and showered down towards Zhong Yue. Zhong Yue’s movement was impeded by the segmented deer horns as they flitted around like flying swords, thrusting at him incessantly!

On the horns themselves were totem pattern engravings – they were soul weapons – extremely sharp and incredibly heavy! And what was more impressive was that they could actually form an array formation. The totem patterns on them carried powers akin to the totem pillars, bringing a surging wave of unfathomable force down upon Zhong Yue, confining him to the ground!

Senior Martial Brother Lu stopped abruptly, a smile crawled across his face and he said nonchalantly, “Junior Martial Sister Zhu, look at how my Lian Shan Array Formation will end him; to give vent to your anger and to avenge the deaths of my two dear junior martial brothers….”

Before he could finish his sentence, Zhong Yue reached out his hands and clenched onto all of the eight deer horns, he bolted forward while the third eye on his forehead glared brightly, a beam of light ray was then blasted out!

The divine light beam was released by his third eye when he was in the form of the monster G.o.d Ming King. His was different from the others; when the other Qi Pract.i.tioners morphed into the body of the monster G.o.d Ming King, their third eyes would usually be nothing more than a perfunctory adornment to rectify the deficiency of the cultivation art itself.

But his third eye was the heavenly eye of the Sui Sovereign, it was more than enough to attain and cast all the skills that were contained in the prologue of the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】!

This blazing light beam was exactly one of the skills in the prologue of the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】 – the【Ming King Wrath Heart Sword】!

The blazing light beam flared in a straight line directly to Zhu Xian’er who was in Senior Martial Brother Lu’s arms with a speed virtually equivalent to that of light! Senior Martial Brother Lu wrapped Zhu Xian’er in his arms, the warmth of the alluring lady on his chest caused his heart to pound in excitement. While Zhu Xian’er was even more relaxed, she was at the brim of lifting her head up to murmur some endearments to the Senior Martial Brother Lu. But it was this moment that deadly ray of the【Ming King Wrath Heart Sword】caught her fully across her beautiful countenance!

Pang——

The young lady’s head burst open and blood and cerebral fluid rained down, leaving only a headless corpse wrapped in Senior Martial Brother Lu’s arm!

Is the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】’s【Ming King Wrath Heart Sword】that strong?

Even Zhong Yue himself was also shocked, he had never foreseen that the Sword Qi that was blasted out by the divine eye to be this strong, even an expert like Zhu Xian’er was also killed without any time to react.

It’s not the【Ming King Wrath Heart Sword】, it’s my Sui Sovereign Heavenly Eye. Xin Huo once said that I can purify the f.u.xi bloodline together with the Sui Sovereign’s Heavenly Eye to form the third divine eye, which would be immensely strong. Without the Sui Sovereign’s Heavenly Eye, the sword strike would not be this strong. And if I ever form the third divine eye, fully opening the divine eye on my forehead, then its power would be even more strong!

Zhong Yue meticulously sensed the【Ming King Wrath Heart Sword】he had just cast. The sword ray contained an incredibly terrifying power that also placed an equally heavy burden on his psyche. His psyche ocean was considered huge by any metric, with the radius of a thousand mu in size. But with just one strike of the sword ray, his psyche ocean was instantly depleted from a thousand mu to only six hundred mu, nearly half of his psyche was consumed!

The【Ming King Wrath Heart Sword】is good but it shouldn’t be used recklessly. Otherwise, when all the psyche is depleted, I’ll be in deep trouble. With my current prowess, I can cast it around three times before my psyche is fully depleted, He ruminated.

Senior Martial Brother Lu gazed at the headless body in his arms in shock and fury. The G.o.dly light beam that came from Zhong Yue’s eye killed Zhu Xian’er in a single blow, he did not even have the chance to ward it off, and her life was gone. He has never seen such a prowess and skill before!

“Is this really a skill contained in the【Monster G.o.d Ming King Art】?”

He raised his head only to see his entire vision filled with Zhong Yue’s menacing glare as he had already stepped forward and was right in front of him!

“Like I said ... if I want to kill her, you can do nothing to stop me.”

Zhong Yue shook his head, he pushed out his hand and returned the eight deer horns back to Senior Martial Brother Lu, his voice still maintaining its eerie calm, “See, you really can’t. This is your deer horn, keep it nicely. Senior Martial Brother Lu, about Zhu Xian’er’s death, you won’t tell anyone, would you?”

Senior Martial Brother Lu’s eyebrows trembled in fear. He reached out to the deer horns and answered anxiously, “No, of course not, don’t you worry….”

“It must be very painful to take out the deer horns from your head, here, let me help you put it back.”

Zhong Yue face was currently the image of altruism as he showed his concerns before all of a sudden —Chi Chi Chi….— his eight arms swung and thrust the eight deer horns into Senior Martial Brother Lu’s head. He then turned around and walked away while saying to himself, “But I don’t trust you, so what do you think I should do?”

Behind him, Senior Martial Brother Lu’s head was pierced by his own deer horns, his dead body swayed for a moment before crumpling down onto the ground.

“Killing the daughter of Feng Gu City Lord, and two disciples of the Fengsha Island, these matters won’t go unnoticed. Even if I were to become the closed door disciple of the Xian Kong City Lord, I would still have to be wary of the vengeance that the two lords would surely be itching to mete out.Hence, I can do nothing offer my apologies to you … Senior Martial Brother Lu.”
