Bai Xiashuang wouldn’t accept this explanation especially when she heard the last sentence. She stood up suddenly and said, "Yu Lingxu was possessed by demons and he even wanted to kill my sister and Zi Lian and the others. Lu Li killing him was a good deed. As long as they used violence at the Thousand-island Lake, they are the ones in the wrong. They even sent several to fight against Uncle Leng."

Madam Yan didn’t agree. She thought about it and said, "Okay, I understand it all. You go back and have a

rest. I will discuss with Chief Patriarch and make further arrangements."
Madam Yan got up and walked out. On her way out, she abruptly turned back and asked Bai Qiuxue, "Qiuxue, what… do you think of Lu Li? Do you think we can ask him to become a member of our family?"
