Ming Yu stood behind Lu Li with the Ghost Mask still on. Madam Yan seemed to be less haggard as the other day. She wore a black dress, black pearl earrings and black pearl necklace. The black color made her snow-white skin stand out. She appeared to be very elegant and quiet.
Madam Yan came on her own. She came in, bowed and said with respect, "Young Master Lu, greetings."
This was for servants to meet masters. Lu Li touched his nose in embarra.s.sment and replied, "Please take a seat, Madam. Bring us some tea."
Maids served tea which Madam Yan didn’t drink. She looked at Ming Yu and said, "Young Master Lu, can I speak to you in private?"
Ming Yu coldly glanced over and killing intent spread out. Lu Li waved his hand and said, "Ming Yu, you can leave."
Sending Madam Yan a warning glance, Ming Yu left. Lu Li became even more embarra.s.sed. He cleared his throat and said, "Madam Yan, how is the Bai Emperor Mountain now? I think you have taken control of the Thousand-island Lake."
"Thanks to you, Young Master Lu, the Bai Emperor Mountain is very well!"
Madam Yan nodded and added in a jealous tone, "As for… the other places of the Thousand-island Lake, Young Master Lu, you know better than I do. Those Island Owners are coming here on a daily basis. There are, I think, dozens of them outside now."
Lu Li detected the jealousy in Madam Yan’s words and knew what she was getting at.
