Chapter 15: The Results

The aim of this mission was idiotic . He absolutely didn’t want anything to do with it but couldn’t help it . After all, Xing Yinuo was stubborn as an ox .

Yifan’s cla.s.smate succeeded in finding Tang Xiaoxi in his brother’s cla.s.s . He dragged along his younger brother to play with the building blocks and looked out for the moment when the teacher was distracted . Using this window of opportunity, he ruffled Xiaoxi’s hair with affection and sneakily pulled a strand of his hair .

Tang Xiaoxi snapped his head towards him and glared at him . The killing intent in his eyes was extremely prominent .

The student froze up, leaving behind a sinking feeling in his gut .

“Ah! I’m so sorry, kid . I apologize for accidentally pulling your hair . ” The student stuttered in fear .

When the student was done speaking, Xiaoxi silently went back to playing with the building blocks .

The student tightly held onto the strand of hair and hastily backed out of the room . He ran to the school gates and stuffed the hair in Yinuo’s hand, his back dripping with cold sweat .

“Thank you so much!” Xing Yinuo yelled in ecstasy . She took out another Ziploc bag and put the hair in it and shouted in excitement, “Let’s rush to the hospital . Now!”

The student was exhausted so he said, “You two can go ahead, I still have other things to do . ”

 

Xing Yinuo ordered the driver to rush the nearest hospital . She didn’t have the courage to go to her own hospital . If the doctor informed her parents and Big Brother, how would she explain her actions?

Once they were at the hospital, Xing Yinuo put on an exaggerated act . She was too young to have this sort of test done . The doctor didn’t believe her story at all but seeing her tears and snotty nose, they had to along with her antics . Yifan stood off at the side with a stoic expression, as far away from Yinuo as possible . He did not want to be a.s.sociated with this embarra.s.sing sister of his at all .

As the siblings waited in the waiting room, Yifan looked at the cheery girl . “Don’t you think you acted way too much just now?”

“Not at all! You should have some faith in me, I’m going to become the film empress in the future!” Xing Yinuo declared with surety . She was incredibly confident in her skills .

“Hmph, what potential!? You can’t even study properly, so how can you think of entering the entertainment industry?”

“How dare you blame me! I’m not like you, I really didn’t inherit the genes to study . Those math problems give me a migraine . ” Yinuo pulled Yifan’s head, “Stop talking to me about school now . It’s annoying as h.e.l.l!”

“I wonder what goes on in that brain of yours . ”

“I think of beautiful things that give me joy . Studying doesn’t make me happy,” Yinuo protested .

“At least be a little embarra.s.sed! Mom and Dad don’t even want to go to the parent-teacher meeting from the fear of losing face . At this rate, Big Brother would have to go instead . ”

Yinuo immediately grinned . “That’s fine with me! If Big Brother goes then my homeroom teacher will be so captivated by him that she’ll forgive all my mistakes . ”

“You brat . ” The teen was stunned into silence by his sister’s crazy way of thinking . Yifan knew it wouldn’t happen so he secretly wished for his brother to go to school . Who asked her to pick such a difficult course? However, he had to admit, his sister was very cunning .

“Miss Xing, the results of the DNA test are out . ” A middle-aged female doctor walked into the waiting room .

“What’s the result, tell me quickly!” Yinuo’s heartbeat sped up . She thought her heart would jump out of her throat with anxiety . The male beside her narrowed his eyes in antic.i.p.ation too .

The doctor declared the result loudly, “It is as you thought . The owners of the DNA samples are indeed related . ”
