“How many calls are there yesterday? Which companies had called? Also, give me the list of the companies whom the callers are not the directors or CEO.” Feng Yu sat down in his chair and drank his coffee.

“There is a total of 62 calls. I had made a list based on their companies’ size and caller’s position in their company. It is on your PC.” Ralph reported.

Feng Yu opened up an Excel file. Excel in this era does not have many functions, but it was more advanced than most of the office software in the market. Feng Yu knew all the basic functions of this program. The more advanced features he used in his previous life were still not developed yet.

But Feng Yu had told Liu Chuanzhi about the more advanced Excel functions and told him to develop it as an extension of Microsoft Office. Feng Yu does not know how to develop it, but he knows the results.

If Liu Chuanzhi were successful, then Feng Yu would be able to s.n.a.t.c.h Microsoft’s Office market from them. “Where is the list of Seattle’s internet and software companies I wanted?” Feng Yu closed the Excel file and asked.

“Boss, you are not going to call these people back?” Ralph asked. He was shocked.

“Why should I call them? If they are anxious, they will keep calling. If not, why should I care?” Feng Yu asked.

Ralph was dumbfounded. “But boss, these are big companies and all of them are our Microsoft’s partners.”

“Ralph, there is one thing you must be clear about. I am the one who hired you and not Microsoft. You are working here is because I am Microsoft’s director. If I am no longer Microsoft’s director, will you submit your resume to Microsoft or leave with me?” Feng Yu looked at Ralph in his eyes. He had to make this clear with Ralph.

Ralph was stunned. He decided to work for Feng Yu was because Feng Yu was Microsoft’s director. But it seems that he had misunderstood. He was only Feng Yu’s a.s.sistant, and his working location was in Microsoft. That’s all.

Ralph thought for a while. If he leaves Feng Yu, he will never be able to enter Microsoft’s management level. But if he followed Feng Yu and based on his understanding of Feng Yu, he will definitely have advantages.

“Boss, I will follow you.” Ralph bow slightly forward.

“Yes, boss. The information you want is in that file on your desk. I have organized it for you.” Ralph replied. Although Feng Yu was younger than him, Feng Yu’s accomplishments were beyond his reach.

Feng Yu opened the file and start reading the list. He understands English, but some technical terms were too hard for him to understand. There were lots of companies on the list which were unknown to Feng Yu.

But these companies were not highlighted by Ralph, and it should not be some big companies or have any famous products. The risk was too high to invest in these companies.

Feng Yu scanned through the list of companies, looking for some companies he knew. He wants to look for startup companies which were registered recently. No matter if it was poaching the talents from these companies of investing in them, it will be a good deal.

Ring, ring, ring.

Feng Yu took a look at the phone and then signaled to Ralph to answer it.

“h.e.l.lo, this is Microsoft Director Mr. Feng’s office.”

“Mr. Ralph? I am Tos.h.i.+ba’s Saburo Hiratani. I had called before. Why hasn’t Mr. Feng called me?” Saburo Hiratani was asking anxiously over the phone.

Ralph saw his boss had no intention of answering this call and immediately made his decision. “Saburo Hiratani. I told you yesterday that if my boss is free, he will decide if he wants to call you back. If there is nothing else, please stop bothering me!”

Bang! The line was cut.

Saburo Hiratani was stunned. A Director’s a.s.sistant from Microsoft had slammed his call?! This is too much!

Saburo Hiratani immediately went to report to the President. This was too fishy!

Feng Yu said without even lifting his head. “Just ignore all these small fries in the future.”

“Yes, boss.”

The second call came in, and Ralph answered. After the caller identified himself, Ralph immediately categorized the caller as small fries!

Feng Yu was still going through the names of the companies at his desk. Suddenly, he saw a familiar name! Amazon!

This company was set up last year? Do they need money now? I knew it! I knew I can find surprises!
