The next morning.

Now that I’m awake, I can’t go back to sleep because I have something I need to do.

After waking up, I immediately take action.

Of course, what I need to do is check inside my panties.

I open up my pajama pants and panties to look inside.

“Hmm?”

Peering inside nervously, I don’t see anything.

When I get out of bed, I pull down both my pajama pants and panties.

I don’t really feel like going back to sleep again just because I didn’t find anything, so I guess I will just stay up.

I glance at the clock, it’s around eight o'clock. If this was a school day, I would have left already, but thankfully, it’s Sat.u.r.day, so there is no problem.

That being said, Kaori and I are supposed to go shopping today. Knowing her, she will probably come by early this morning.

The door chime would wake me up if I was asleep, and I could expect her to complain that I took too long to answer.

Under those circ.u.mstances, I have no choice except to stay up.

I changed into a cute one-piece dress that is easy to move around in with a cardigan on top and headed to the kitchen on the first floor.

The house intercom chimed immediately after I had fixed breakfast and said ‘Thank you for the food.’

“What horrible timing.”

I clicked my tongue as I went to answer the door intercom. I checked to make sure that it was Kaori in the monitor of the intercom and pressed the b.u.t.ton to unlock the front door.

“It’s open!” (Kei)

I yell out without meeting her at the door as I head back to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

Otherwise, the cup soup that I took great pains to make will cool off.

After I had sat down to eat, I heard the sound of the front door opening as Kaori came in.

“Hey, I took the time to come by to pick you up! You could have at least met me at the door!” (Kaori)

“Why? You're the one that came by this early.” (Kei)

“…I don't know!” (Kaori)

“My soup's going to cool off.” (Kei)

"Oh, the soup is more important than me?!” (Kaori)

Kaori seems to be shocked and angry because she is making a fist and shaking.

She shouldn’t have come to my house until breakfast is over, so I turn back to concentrate on eating for the time being.

“…Well, it’s fine.” (Kaori)

She seems to be used to the usual treatment. She sits down at the dining table, puts her elbow on the table, and her chin in her hand.  

“Well, how was it?” (Kaori)

She asks while looking at me with a disappointed expression, as I drain the remaining broth from the soup cup.

“Nothing happened.” (Kei)

“…Oh, is that so?” (Kaori)

When I finished eating and cleaned up, I leave the disappointed sounding Kaori there and went to my room.

We’re going shopping, so I have to finish getting ready to go.

I brush my hair and put it up twin-tail style.

Although I think I have it right, I still need to check it in the mirror.

This hairstyle is difficult to get the left and right sides properly balanced, but I think I’m getting the hang of it.

I pick up my shoulder bag with an integrated wallet and head down to the living room where Kaori is waiting.

This shoulder bag is rather convenient, since it’s made so that the wallet can be removed. That is what I usually carry in my school bag, but I usually use this bag when I go out.

It seems the sanitary underwear is also sold here at the pharmacy, which makes it easy since we don’t have to go to another shop.
