In j.a.panese, we call them kouhai {for both male and female}, in modern Chinese we call them undercla.s.smen. I don't think there is a specific way to identify them in English (United States English, because I'm not sure about British English). We tend to call everyone "my schoolmate" or "my cla.s.smate" because in the States a cla.s.sroom is usually mixed with all grade levels; for example: Science and Math cla.s.ses. Except for cla.s.ses like English (for non-ESL students) and Social Science like history, politics and economics; everyone in the cla.s.sroom will be in the same grade ^^ I think I have explained this a bit too much here LOL so I will stop but I think everyone gets the point ^^ So I will keep this form "s.h.i.+mei"; so I hope everyone remembers this term from now on ^^

Wu Han Ying felt he must have really bad luck today, since he already gave the keychain back to its owner and he really could not burst into the cla.s.sroom now. So he quietly carried his backpack with his laptop inside and ran back to the convenience store to re-buy water to carry upstairs.

Even though it was the afternoon, in the shaded area of the dorm one couldn't see any light since the winter season was not over yet, nature's gloomy curtain was still hanging over the sky. Wu Han Ying pushed the door, but it was locked; he had to stomp on the door while shouting loudly.

After entering the dorm room he couldn't help but immediately notice the stark contrast between how clean Professor Xia's room was and their room....which is no better than a garbage station.

After he had evenly distributed the water bottles, he remembered to walk over to the back of the door to look at the schedule.

"Who the heck put this schedule here!" Wu Han Ying immediately wanted to murder someone; this was not their cla.s.s schedule for this semester, it was obviously the schedule for last semester. It was almost at the end of the new term; why the heck is the old schedule still up here?

"The schedule dropped to the floor, pick it up and glue it back on." Jiang Tan said without even taking a glance at him since his fingers were busy clicking away on the mouse. Even though the internet was still out of commission he could play the games that were installed on his laptop.

Wu Han Ying rolled his eyes and then looked for a glue stick to violently paste the new schedule on. He was thinking about the bag of water he forgot in Professor Xia's room...he really wanted to skip the professor's cla.s.s tomorrow! Really embarra.s.sing.

The school internet was still off the rest of the afternoon and throughout the night. Wu Han Ying made good use of this time to finish almost all the leftover work he had due by the end of the semester. Most of it was to write 2,000-word essays, he looked up the material online and then organized it. Once he was finished he found that it did not take up too much of his time.
