Chapter 110        Take a Shower

The skies were dark and thunder rumbled. Lightning struck and it started to rain.

The filthy New York finally got the chance to clean itself. The stinky city that was full of rubbish was cleaner after the rain. At least, it appeared cleaner than before.

As the streetlamps were not working, the streets were dark. Zhou Qingfeng could barely see the floor despite the light from the lightning. He was walking and searching in the dark to find his way back to Kenney street, near Chinatown. He was returning to his base.

After the people from the Broome area ran away, Zhou Qingfeng planned to leave with Katrina after ten minutes. In fact, he spent more than five hours before he had escaped. It was a tough five hours.

As he returned to Kenney street, Butcher who was in charge of the patrol came out to welcome him. The bear-like Butcher gave him a big hug and laughed, “Hey, Victor! Come and take a shower! This rain came just in time, I wouldn’t know when I’d be able to take a good shower otherwise.”

Behind a row of the barricade, a hundred men were taking a shower in the rain. Most of them were the people who were rescued from the putrid subway. Frankly speaking, all of them were smelly.

“Don’t worry, I’ve arranged for people to guard and promoted some of the better people to the positions of basic commanders. The whole area is under our control.”

Once Butcher was done talking, he took off his clothes. His huge and bear-like body was exposed to the air as he danced happily in the rain.

Zhou Qingfeng looked a little messy in the rain. He walked into the temporary command room and he saw the skinny and tall Katrina drying her hair. The ferocious lady was without her armor. She was wearing a tight T-s.h.i.+rt and a pair of sweatpants. Her shapely figure was a deadly temptation.

“I’ve settled the people from Broome. Even though most of them were women and children, but they are not bad as far as logistics go. At least, you don’t have to worry about eating dry and hard bread anymore. Also, with the women and children around, it feels more like living a normal life,” said Katrina.

Zhou Qingfeng was exhausted. He took the seat beside the window. He looked out the window, the area opposite was also filled with joy. Hundreds of naked women were also was.h.i.+ng in the rain. Everyone was trying their best to be happy and to forget the grief of the last phase.

Katrina continued, “We’ve got more than eighty vehicles of resources from Broome street. Most of them are food, drinks, clothes, and all kind of tools. I’ve asked people to collect the rainwater. We don’t have to worry about there being no clean water for at least three to five days with the water filter.”

“Sounds good,” Zhou Qingfeng said lazily.

“You look pretty awful after our encounter with Zetas,” Katrina noted. “Go take a shower and find a few ladies to have fun. Otherwise, you’re going to have post-traumatic stress disorder,” she suggested.

“I’m gonna kill them all!” Zhou Qingfeng was very mad when he thought of those sc.u.mbags. As he was performing very well, the people who were chasing Katrina did not manage to receive backup. That was why they failed. However, when he was trying to escape, the people from Zetas all went after him.

“I was surrounded by a hundred of those b*stards. They were spraying bullets at the building where I was hiding. They even threw torches and tried to burn me. If it wasn’t for the rain, I might not even make it back.”

Zhou Qingfeng was p.i.s.sed off. He recalled a news that he saw in the media. The special forces of United States and Russia often go to the rural areas of North Africa and Middle Eastern to fight with the indigenous army.

Through the cruel training, a well-trained, outstanding soldier could easily kill dozens of the indigenous soldiers. However, they would not be able to counter hundreds of them. It was similar to what Zhou Qingfeng encountered.

“Alright,” Zhou Qingfeng stood up and went to the rooftop. The houses in that area were generally five-storeyed and the rooftop was not very far away. He was thinking of taking a good shower and changing into a set of clean clothes.

“Oh, right! You’re on duty tonight,” Katrina added.

“What duty?” Zhou Qingfeng was confused.

“Butcher set up a basic sentinel defense system, but there has to be someone on duty in the command room. The sentry will report to you if there’s an incident so you could deal with it immediately. But, I think tonight will be fine thanks to the heavy rain. You can hold a small party here with those girls. Just make sure that you don’t drink.”

Katrina turned and left the room after she finished talking. Zhou Qingfeng was thinking of hugging Jenny to have a good sleep after he showered, but his thoughts were interrupted.

The rooftop was indeed very big. Zhou Qingfeng unloaded his armor and took off his clothes. He stood in the rain and emptied his brain to relax. As he was was.h.i.+ng his body, he heard steps coming to the rooftop. He could even hear people talking to each other.

“Who’s there?” Zhou Qingfeng asked, alerted. He was already thinking of attacking, but two soaked, young blonde girls showed up.

It was August in New York and the women were wearing very thin clothes. Two young girls were drenched and their clothes tightly fit onto their exposed growing bodies.

“Mr. Hugo, I’m here as promised. This is my cousin. Although she’s a little younger than me, she likes you too.”

The older of the two walked forwards and touched Zhou Qingfeng’s body, “You’re so fit. Can we shower with you?”

How could Zhou Qingfeng reject that?
