Beginning With The First One

“Unit 1 will evacuate the residents! Unit 2 will hold them back! Unit 3 will head towards the town mayor!”

“s.h.i.+t! Why did monsters appear in the whole town!”

“Anybody! Did anybody see my daughter!? Did you see my daughter!?”

“Get away! You’re in the way!”

Screams, bellows, pleads, all kinds of shouts can be heard. Those escaping, those looking for the ones that have gotten lost, those pus.h.i.+ng aside others who are running about trying to escape, so that they themselves can escape first. There are all kinds of people.

“As I thought, humans, they prioritise themselves when it becomes dangerous huh”

“Nn? Did you say something, Master?”

“No, it’s nothing. More importantly, let’s go. Our destination is where the mayor is at”

Liscia and I move against the wave of people coming towards us and head towards this town’s largest mansion. Because my underlings are making sure the mayor doesn’t escape by fighting while encircling the area, the mayor should have not yet escaped.

Well, it’s not like I’m attacking indiscriminately. This time as well, I have ordered them to not kill. There may be those who die from receiving a blow at a bad spot by accident though.

Which means, they will continue increasing as long as my magic power doesn’t run out. Besides, the Soul Absorption Necklace that I’m wearing will absorb the dead spirits that are my underlings even if they were killed, so it doesn’t decrease.

“s.h.i.+t! These guys, they still continue moving no matter how much we cut them!”

“The head! Aim for the head! Its movements will stop if you lop off its head!”

Well, they aren’t a completely immortal troop though. They are just harder to defeat than an ordinary dead spirit type monster. Nevertheless, they are menacing enough. Because if the weakness isn’t targetted, they’ll get up no matter how many times they are cut down.

“You guys, get away! I’m firing magic!”

When I’m gazing at that scenery, a robed man came from behind the soldiers. He’s holding a staff in his hand. The stereotypical appearance of a magician.

The man holds his staff out and, magic power begins collecting at the staff. And then, the magic that was s.h.i.+ning red on the tip of the staff was fired. The magic fired was fire magic, it flies straight towards the zombies and explodes.

The zombies’ bodies burn and became their movement gradually become sluggish. The soldiers lop their heads off during that. Fumu, I have to think up a countermeasure for the fire weakness. Well, shall I rely on the fellow beside me who’s itching to go, now.

“Liscia, it’s alright to go”

“! I understand!”

The delighted voice can be heard from inside the heaume. I don’t know if it’s like this originally, or is it because she resurrected, Liscia likes to fight. She moves her body when she’s free, asking Darx or me and training with the dead spirit as an opponent.

She cut them like she’s pa.s.sing by them. I’ll probably not notice it as well if I hadn’t got used to Liscia’s speed from usually.

I pour my magic power into those guys. Changing them into zombies similarly. The soldiers are being bewildered by the Liscia who has newly barged in. However, that opening becomes fatal.

When I notice, a third of the soldiers have been tidied up by Liscia. The sound of battle has already vanished. The moment Liscia joined, our victory has been decided. It ended without me letting out the reserve.

I bring along the Liscia who’s letting out a slightly bored atmosphere and enter the mansion. The moment I opened the door

“Die!”

and, a soldier swings his sword down. However, Liscia naturally realizes that, reflects the sword with her gauntlet, and stabbed the sword into the soldier’s neck.

The people in the room who saw that sight raises a loud shriek. We enter without minding it.

In the mansion are 5 soldiers, 1 plump guy, 2 similarly plump women, and there are 3 lady attendants in this mansion. The plump guy is probably the mayor. The women should be the wife and child. If it’s as the prior investigation.

“Wh, who the h.e.l.l are you guys! Do you think you’ll get away with doing this!”

The plump guy firmly yells at us. Moreover, it’s a phrase I’ve heard before somewhere. Well, I’ll ignore such things though.

Then, I activate the dark magic art without any time for them to react. This time it isn’t dead spirits, it’s brainwash type magic. It’s difficult for it to work on those with high magic resistance but, it’s probably no problem with people of this calibre.

Perhaps my magic art was effective, the mayor and guys start blanking out. With this, the puppets that listen to our bidding is complete.

Because I want to use this town to make various preparations. I still have to keep these guys alive. I have to increase the number of dead spirits again from here for a little while.

“Fufuu, with this, I can eat all the fish dishes I want, Master!”

One person is thinking of a different matter but, I guess it’s fine. Since Liscia also fought.

Now then, thinking about the matters hereafter, the Feudal Lord should be informed about this and send soldiers or adventurers. I’ll steadily turn them into monsters.

Since the other side will send the materials, it’ll be nothing but help to us. It’s able to end without the need to purposely move to villages. Above that, if it comes to anything reducing for us, it’s just more or less magic power. The target is 2 thousand. If there’s that much, we can bring down even the Feudal Lord’s territory.

I guess it’s the ideal if, when the country regards the danger, they are already encircled by the dead spirits with nowhere left to run.
