The Two Subordinates

The two of them stood in front of me. Each observing their own body. The brown hair male looked at his arms and legs normally but, the headless female knight held up her own head and look at her own body. A beautiful female holding up a severed head is somehow a surreal sight.

“Ooo! It’s a flesh body since who knows how long! Furthermore, it’s lighter than when I’m alive!”

The female says as she jumps on the spot, verifying her body’s condition. After a while, perhaps because she realized that she was being watched, she became embarra.s.sed.

“E, excuse me, Master. My name is Liscia・Einstein. The former captain of the Holy Kingdom’s Holy Knights. I swear my loyalty to the Master who has brought me back to life in this world once again”

……She’s somewhat of an amazingly formal person. Though the sight of a knight on one knee expressing grat.i.tude is cool. The male standing next to Liscia, the headless knight on her knee, looks at her and says tiresomely.

“Ah~My name is Chrono. I’m just a commoner so I have no etiquettes like this severed head knight but, well, please take care of me, Boss”

The difference in the tension of these two is harsh. Liscia who’s looking at me with extremely sparkly eyes, and Chrono who’s looking extremely sleepy. I’m becoming uneasy about these two.

“My name is Hardt. I think it was conveyed through the magic power but, I revived you guys for the sake of taking revenge on the Holy Kingdom. For what reason did you guys become my servant?”

These two accepted my magic power and came here because they support my purpose. If that’s the case, I want to know the reason they support my purpose. If they just wanted to be resurrected, I’ll erase them.

“Fumu, that’s natural. The reason I accepted it is because, I don’t know if they still exist but, I want to destroy the Holy Kingdom’s Holy Knight Captain’s family line.
As you can see, I’m young but I possessed quite the capability. That was, envied by my Vice-Captain at the time. He thought ‘There’s no way I would lose to a young girl’.
As a result of that, my family were falsely charged, and everybody was sentenced to death. It’s just that if it were just the death sentence, I’ll resign and admit that I’ve lost in the power struggle but, that man, to my sisters he!”

……I see. After saying that much, I could understand her resentment. I look at Chrono next to urge him and

“My own experiments were stolen by the Holy Kingdom. The method of endowing magic to objects. When I talked about the method to the Holy Kingdom, I was told to discuss with the person in charge and was brought to him but, before I noticed, it has become the accomplishment of the person in charge.
Well, though it was clumsy of me to have easily taught it at the time.
I was planning on using the money I receive from the research’s results to treat my younger sister’s illness but, of course, the money didn’t come in, and my younger sister died. After that, in order to steal the remaining research results from me, the person in charge sent an a.s.sa.s.sin and killed me.
So, my wish is slightly the same as her.”

Chrono says ‘Is that fine?’ while he looked the other way. I see, the two of them have quite the resentment towards the Holy Kingdom. Furthermore, the power I feel from the two of them are rather high.

Even if it’s natural for Liscia, who was the Holy Knight Captain, Chrono who was a commoner has considerable talent as a Magician. This is a rather good find.

“I have understood the reason you guys support my purpose. From now on, I’ll have you guys work as my hands and feet. Even if we go now, we wouldn’t be able to win against the sheer number. The two of you should understand that as well”

The two of them nodded at my words. They are probably fine if it’s just a couple of people but, it’s a different story when it comes to the level of a country. The Holy Kingdom is the largest country in the world. When thinking about picking a fight with a country with the population of ten million people, I would like to have at least a million soldiers.

But, I’m currently still not able to create a large army like Darx. Even if I possess a portion of G.o.d’s power, if I, the user of the power is weak, it’d just be pearls before swine.

Firstly, I’ll have to raise my minimum magic power. Right now, just by resurrecting Liscia and Chrono, my magic power has dried up. To be honest, just standing is tough. For this, there’s no other way than to get used to it by using it over and over.

Fortunately, I can continue experimenting if it’s in this s.p.a.ce. I can also increase the number of soldiers in the meantime. It probably won’t be tougher than having my fingers cut off.

I’ll have Darx teach me about dark magic art, and I’ll have Liscia teach me close combat later on. It’ll be better if I myself am slightly capable of fighting as well.

I’ll have Chrono investigate about this world. It’ll be better to have a plot of land that could work as a foothold when I’m attacking the Holy Kingdom. Furthermore, I want to kill those guys in the village.

I’ll have these as my current objectives. I want to move quickly but, I don’t have the talent nor power. There’s no way to win even if I attacked now. I have to think before I move.
