HOLLAND, J. G. (1819-1881), b. Belchertown, Ma.s.s. Editor of the first series of _Scribner's Monthly_, wrote several poems, of which _Bitter-Sweet_ was the most popular, and several novels, the best of which is _Arthur Bonnicastle_.
