Ning Shu smiled gently. “I do love you. Why wouldn’t I love you?”

“Why are you sending me to a school like this? Mom, I want to go back to my previous school. Please, I’ll listen to you from now on.” s.h.i.+ Sinan begged Ning Shu.

Ning Shu reached out to rub s.h.i.+ Sinan’s head and said, “Good girl, be good.”

Xi Mucheng was sizing up s.h.i.+ Sinan, and his gaze made her face a little hot. Finally, he said, “Well, you’ve lost a lot of weight.”

When s.h.i.+ Sinan heard this, her nose stung, and she almost cried out.

Ning Shu drove the car to the garage. When she stepped into the living room, she saw s.h.i.+ Sinan and Xi Mucheng standing opposite each other. There was an inexplicable atmosphere between them.

Ning Shu walked over and took s.h.i.+ Sinan’s hand. “Go upstairs and take a shower. Your grandfather will be back in a bit.”

s.h.i.+ Sinan kept her head down and followed Ning Shu up the stairs, feeling her uncle’s lingering gaze on her.
