Chapter 927: Seeing Blackheart

As Blackheart revealed his true ident.i.ty and angrily yelled, he was met with a hail of bullets from the window. However, Blackheart was ready and managed to deftly dodge the attack and he even rushed towards the window.

Blackheart, who intended to attack Mack and harm Roxanne, was surprised when someone intervened and disrupted his plan with their skilled marksmans.h.i.+p. In his anger, he disregarded the fear of Mack and Roxanne and focused on finding the person who had interrupted him.

Boom!

Gulu Gulu~

However, just as Blackheart rushed towards the window, a small black ball just flew in from the window, hit the ground, and just rolled towards Blackheart’s position.

“What is this?…” Looking at the ball that rolled down to his feet, Blackheart looked down at the ball suspiciously and muttered to himself

The next moment, the ball exploded at Blackheart’s feet, releasing a thick cloud of white smoke that enveloped him and spread throughout the room. It became clear that this was a smoke bomb.

As the smoke bomb detonated and filled the room with thick smoke, another figure entered through a window adjacent to the previous one. This person was athletic and heavily armed, carrying a rapid-fire machine gun and several grenade-like metal b.a.l.l.s on their waist. He also wore tactical goggles on his head, giving the appearance of a highly skilled soldier.

It is clear that the soldier who interrupted Blackheart’s attack was Bucky, who had been hiding outside the window. It is unknown how Bucky obtained such a full set of weapons, but it is possible that he may have snuck into the police a.r.s.enal to obtain them.

Bucky burst into the room and saw that Blackheart was surrounded by smoke from the smoke grenade. He quickly raised his machine gun and pointed it toward the smoke, but when he looked through the infrared sensor in his tactical goggles, he didn’t see any movement. It took Bucky a moment to realize that the enemy was from h.e.l.l and therefore he may not show up on the infrared sensor.

As Bucky prepared to make a tactical s.h.i.+ft in response to the threat, he was taken by surprise as Blackheart appeared behind him and reached out with a sly grin. Despite Bucky’s efforts to defend himself, it seemed that he would not be able to escape Blackheart’s sneak attack.

Boom!

Just as Blackheart’s sneak attack seemed to be successful, Bucky was rescued by a powerful bullet that came from the side and struck Blackheart directly in the face. The force of the blow smashed half of Blackheart’s face, exposing the rotten flesh and bones beneath.

As Blackheart turned angrily to see where the attack had come from with half of his face smashed, Bucky quickly rolled away and turned back to face Blackheart, raising the Sub Machine gun in his hand to deliver another blow.

Da Da Da Da Da!

Despite Blackheart’s formidable powers and apparent fearlessness, Bucky and the yet-to-arrive Lin Rui were able to repeatedly attack and weaken him. By the time Blackheart had even engaged the enemy, he had already sustained numerous bullet wounds and suffered severe damage to half of his face.

“Roar! You d.a.m.ned ants!” As Bucky continued to attack, Blackheart, who still had one eye functioning, roared in anger and released a cloud of black air from his entire body.

Call!

The black mist emanating from Blackheart rapidly approached Bucky, who was preparing to shoot again, and Bucky immediately turned and fled. However, the mist was too fast and quickly caught up to him. Just as the mist was about to envelop Bucky, a figure rushed over from the side and intervened.

Hoo Hoo!

The black mist quickly surrounded Bucky and the mysterious figure that had rushed in. 

“You insignificant ants!” Blackheart sneered, his blood-red eyes glowing with malice as he spoke in a low voice. Despite having recovered from the damage to his face, he still seemed angry and dangerous.

However, just as Blackheart thought he had taken care of the two intruders with his black mist, he suddenly raised his eyebrows in surprise, sensing a strange energy wave emanating from within the mist.

“How?!……”

Buzz~ Bang!

Blackheart was shocked when the black mist that surrounded Bucky and another figure suddenly burst. The mist dissipated as it flew in every direction before disappearing completely. This surprised Blackheart even more, as the other party had actually managed to eliminate the energy from h.e.l.l!

When the black mist disappeared, the scene inside was revealed. Bucky and Lin Rui were standing there, supporting each other.

“Bucky, are you okay?” Lin Rui reached out to support Bucky, who was in a weakened state. He had rushed out at the last moment to block the black mist with internal energy from affecting Bucky but he was still weakened and a worried expression appeared on Lin Rui’s face.

Even though Lin Rui had released an internal energy defense before the black mist enveloped Bucky, Blackheart’s h.e.l.l energy was a very special attack and Lin Rui’s internal energy was not able to completely block it. While Lin Rui’s own body was strong enough to resist the attack of the remaining black mist, Bucky was still somewhat affected.

“I’m fine, just a little dizzy.” Bucky shook his head as he spoke and stood straight with Lin Rui’s support, rea.s.suring him.

“It looks like ordinary attacks aren’t effective against him. Bucky, you should go to the side and rest. I can handle Miss Roxanne and the manager. You just take care of yourself.” Lin Rui quickly said after checking Bucky’s condition.

“Are you sure you’re going to be okay?” Bucky asked with a worried expression on his face after hearing Lin Rui’s words.

Bucky was a little helpless to find that his attacks were useless against the opponent, as he had expected. He knew that the opponent probably had many attack methods that he wouldn’t be able to understand or guard against. He had felt a sense of impending death when Blackheart had approached him earlier.

“Don’t worry, I’m sure! And you need to watch out for other people too. Remember those fallen angels who can control natural elements?” Lin Rui reminded Bucky while answering his question.

“Got it!” Bucky nodded and rushed over to Roxanne and Mack in the corner with his weapon in his hand.
