Merry Christmas, everyone! Firstly, I would like to apologize for going on hiatus. Secondly, I would like to thank you for your patience. Recently, I was in no mood of translating, but as a fellow reader who truly dislikes when the book I enjoy reading goes on hiatus (which often would leave me craving for more reading) I have at least managed to translate this chapter of GMMU as a Christmas present. Since I have exams coming, I will be on hiatus for at least another month, afterwards everything should be like usual. Thanks for understanding and enjoy unwrapping all the gifts Santa brought you

I gritted my teeth. Not wanting to waste time I directly opened my mouth and spoke: „Could you help me to find where is Deng Long now?"

„Martin?" He was slightly taken aback, his voice deep and low, „Can I ask why?"

I was silent for a moment. Not wanting to beat around the bush I replied, „He took my boyfriend away&h.e.l.lip;&h.e.l.lip;"

He was silent.

I added oil and vinegar[1], exasperating tragic effect. I pretended to be sobbing, ''Deng Long took him away. I couldn´t find him. Big brother, you must help me. We, fallen woman, don´t have it easy. After all the trouble finding myself a good man, who serves as a timeless bread ticket[2] , I don´t want any accident happen to him ~~~"

I sniffed exaggeratedly. I reckoned when he heard it he would consider me, the fallen woman, who humbled herself for love and who wanted to rescue her boyfriend from the claws of a gay, as a very helpless and pitiful woman.

I have pretended for a long while yet he spoke only now, ''Why should I help you?"

When I heard it I almost wanted to curse. He continued speaking, ''Miss Fang, I have no obligation to help you find your boyfriend. This sounds a little ridiculous. Should I take it as you are trying to find a cheap excuse to hit on me? Sorry, but it´s not like there´s not such possibility."

I froze for a split second. Suddenly, an earth-shattering fury bursted inside my mind. I wanted to open my mouth and curse, but my sanity abruptly jumped out at this time and reminded me that my top priority wasn´t to quarrel with this delusional man. If he became angry with me, then Dongzi´s chrysanthemum would with a high possibility blossom with the blood dripping.

I can´t let anything happen to Dongzi.

I still remember that time, when Lao Tan escorted the bashfully smiling Dongzi before me. I was amused as soon as I saw a big boy with that daughter-in-law appearance. I draped my hand over his shoulders and said heroically: ''Rest a.s.sured. Senior sister will cover you in the future."

I have always remembered this promise.

And from a distant past, an elder has once benevolently looked at me. With meaningful and heartfelt words he taught me: ''Liangliang, people´s promise is worth a thousand gold. One would rather other fail him than turns his back on other."

I painfuly gritted my teeth and clenched the phone. I took a deep breath and swallowed my rage. Afterwards, I used an unusually calm voice to speak, '' Don´t worry. I still understand the principle that a gra.s.s chicken doesn´t match with a rich husband. What about doing it like this. Considering my pitiful life, help me find where Deng Long is. I will never again bother you in the future."

There was a silence for a few seconds on that side, then he said, ''Wait for me for a few minutes."

Afterwards, he hung up.

I resentfully glanced at the number on my phone. I made a pei sound[3]. Bored to death, I turned my head and swept a glance at the public square that was as bright as a daytime. After that, my line of sight was fixed on the not far doorway of Shayu shop.

Fu Chen was standing there like a rooted wooden pole, intently looking my way. Weiyi tugged at him and he reluctantly moved away his glance. Expressionlessly, he was pulled away.

Watching those two walking side by side, I only sneered. Apparently, he has truly found true love. In the past, when we were bickering, he liked to hold my hand and walk in the front, from time to time turning his head to reprimand me to display his mightiness and dominancy. There was no room for me to act shamelessly.

Looking at the distant Weiyi, who was walking in the front and holding the hand, that had once covered my ice-cold hands and blew a warm breath on them in deep winter, seemingly strictly actually distressedly reprimanding me. It made my heart pound hard.

So, once I got careless, he was actually holding hands with someone else already.

The huge public square was packed with coming and going couples. My heart was slightly engulfed by sadness.

I felt sad for less than a minute, the phone on my hand rang once again. It was Kang Zixian.

He directly said, ''Where are you?"

Perplexed, I asked in reply, ''Where is Deng Long?"

''He is at the place you can´t get in. So where are you?"

''It´s not important where I am. Where the h.e.l.l is he?"

''The Rush, private club. You can´t get in unless you are the member. So where are you?"

''Why?"

''Fang Liangliang, if you don´t want me to you take there, you can hang the phone now."

He was slightly angry. I was stumped for words. I then meekly replied, ''Dong Bai public square."

The evening breeze was cold. I was dressed lightly. A large skin on my chest was exposed to the air. When a gust of wind blowed, it caused the hairs on my body stick up. I made a ''atchoo". I sneezed. But currently I was unable to take care of myself. I threw him a fierce reply, ''Don´t you stand me up, otherwise even if I became a ghost I won´t let you off."

''Fifteen minutes." with a bang he hung up.

The next  thing to do was to wait. I still called Dongzi over and over, hoping he would pick up and ensure myself he was all right. Yet, over and over I heard a female voice that indicated his phone was turned off.

When I was just sighing at the gloomy night sky, a car stopped by my side. I turned my head to take a look. Fu Chen was sitting inside the car, looking at me coldly. Weiyi, who was sitting on the front pa.s.senger seat, closed her eyes with a stunk face[4]. Even miles away one could scent that stinky smell.

When I was small, I was entrusted to live with her family for three years. It could be said that I have tasted what it was like to live relying on someone else’s charity. My (maternal) uncle often went on the business trips. He also suffered a lot from that sharp-tongued aunt of mine. Weiyi is like her mum. She can´t stand other people being better than her, being more outstanding than her. It´s just like her name (Weiyi means the only one). She wants to be the only outstanding person out there.

This temper of her was destined to be completely incompatible with mine. Those three years, I have suffered a lot from that pair of mother and daughter. Yet, I could only endure silently. Looking for other ways to release my pent up feelings.

Those three years did not slip by quickly. They have witnessed  me going astray and the unruliness in my adolescence. When everyone thought that it wasn´t possible to save me, a pair of benevolent eyes smilingly looked at me and spoke, ''The obstinate rock[5] has blinded people´s eyes. Liangliang, brush away the dust from your body. Show to everybody that you are a gold."

Those pair of trusting eyes were my salvage.

So, when I became an adult and thought Fu Chen could also have that kind of trust and could also become my redemption, I didn´t expect that what he would give me would be just a disappointment.

Fu Chen looked at me steadily, the way he spoke was as polite as usual, yet regarding me as a stranger, ''Where are you going? Do you need a lift?"

I didn´t feel like watching those two. Looking at the front, I coldly spoke, ''There´s no need."

Fu Chen remained silent. At this time Weiyi chuckled and b.u.t.ted in, ''Elder cousin, hop in. It´s quite cold being dressed like this on such a freezing day."

Grewing up, this was what I hated the most about my cousin. Hiding a knife behind her words, which makes her look even more sinister.

You have already won. What more do you want from Laoniang? Can´t you let one-off?

I was unhappy. Very unhappy. As I result I turned my head and frivolously smiled at the two. ''Recently I change my profession to doing a miss (hostess). If I don´t dress like this, there would be no bussiness-ah."

Fu Chen´s face suddenly turned gloomy. I then began lightly whistling. I waved and shouted at a young man, who pa.s.sed by in the front, ''Hey, handsome! Am I pretty?"

The young man froze for a moment, quite calmly gave me a thumbs – up. Afterwards he went away with a smile.

I smiled even more brilliant, like a peach blossom. My heart was filled with pleasure from revenge.
