Chapter 10~ Wild Hunt

As Felix mastered the second stage, he wanted to use it in real battle. As such, he didn’t know what to do. He was unsure about the actual capability of his battle strength after the power nerf. His old self could have defeated anyone of his age without thinking twice but the current him was not sure about that. Him having the battle power of level eight BS*, he wasn’t sure to which extent he could harness it. While he was thinking this while sitting on his bed, jin can into the room and asked to Felix~

“Would you like to go for a wild hunt? I want to improve my cultivation before the compet.i.tion as such what I need right now is Beast core. If we can get a beast core of strong beast, I can break through to Level nine BS* from Level Eight ”

Hearing Jin says all this, Felix could accomplish two tasks with on move. He could test his battle power and second, he could acquire Beast core which can help him to breakthrough. So without any hesitation, he said~

“When do we leave?” With a meaningful smile on his face.

Seeing Felix this eager to for the wild hunt he was happy to get the old friend feeling back. For a month he has seen Felix acting awkwardly with him. Avoiding him or we could say ignoring him. Thus, when Felix acted more like a friend, he was happy. Then he said~

“We will leave for the wild hunt as soon as you acquire the trading card which can be used to exchange Beast core for various things like Cultivation technique, Martial art skill or different kind of weapons. So, can we go and make your Trading card? ”

“Sure, but where we have to go?” Felix didn’t know anything.

“Just Follow me”

Felix followed Jin for ten minutes before they were in front of a tall building. They went in as Jin said~

“My friend here want to make Trading card, can you make it as quickly as possible ”

At the counter, was a beautiful lady dressed in red. She was quite beautiful. She said~

“Of Course it can be done but you have to pay 1 gold coin, ” she said.

“One gold coin? Senior, don’t be so unreasonable. We are ordinary students and paying one gold is too much.” Jin said but to his surprise, the friend standing beside him already took out one gold coin and gave it to the Lady Red. Jin was not ready to see this and tried to say something before Felix interrupted him and said~

“Jin, I’m really interested in the wild hunt you are talking about. I too want to improve my cultivation”

After paying the fees, Felix took his trading card and along with jin, he was back to his room.

“We will leave early in the morning for the Shadow Forest for seven days. You can prepare the things you want to take with you in the forest. ” After giving Felix the instruction, Jin started his meditation.

It was early in the morning and at the main entrance of the Galantis Academy, two shadow’s were exiting. They were obviously Jin and Felix. It was Felix first time leaving the academy after he came here. After following the make for One hour, they were at the entrance of the Shadow Forest. As its name, the forest atmosphere was quite dark and scary. One would not go into the forest due to the fact it contained numerous beast of various strength level but the duo which were standing in front of it were with the intention of entering it. They started walking toward the entrance when Jin said something which made feel excited.

“There's this rumor that this forest is the home of a strong beast which is currently ruling it. The beast strength is extreme and due to this particular reason, many students have stopped coming here. I thought it would be better to inform you.” Jin said in a serious Voice.

“Ruler eh? It can be troublesome if we run into this beast. It would be best if we don’t go in depth of the forest.” Felix was not planning to die so he made some basic precautions.

“Right, let’s go” Jin also had the same thought. He too didn’t plan to overestimate his capability and run into the trouble he couldn’t handle.

When they were into the forest, they started hearing various kind of beast roars. Within Felix mind, there was a confusion so he asked Jin~

“How will we split the cores?”

“Easy, as per the Effort. The beat which is weaker than the both of us can be dealt one by me and the next by you. The one which is stronger than both us can be dealt by the combined force of you and me.” Jin said with the att.i.tude of a scholar.

They weren’t even finished talking when a beast which looked like a Liger with a battle power of level five BS* came charging toward them. Felix was very eager to test his strength so like the Main character of some novel, he said~

“I’ll take care of it”

The beast was just few meter away from Felix and was about to use his brute force to make Felix paste but this lowly creature didn’t know who he was messing with. Felix knew the battle power of the beast in front of him. He simply dodged the incoming attack and with his own brute strength and the sword which he brought for this task, he infused his Qi into the sword and trusted it toward the beast which sliced the beast into two. Seeing the ruthless side of Felix, Jin was astonished and made him say ~

“You and your power are insane”

“It not like that Jin, you also know it strength then why to say such foolish words?” It was true. Felix strength was far more than that of the beast but to slice it into two was insane.

“It’s your time to kill, be careful” After warning Jin, he went near the beast and extracted the core which happened to be a mid-grade core. Jin was surprised to see Felix's luck. Time went by and the duo killed any beast they encountered. They didn’t find any beast stronger compared to then but one thing made Felix and jin think about which was the sensation of being watched. It was gaze filled with killing intent. They never tried to discover the secret behind it. Today harvest was very nice.

“Felix, How many cores you got?” Jin asked. They were hunting beast in different places so they didn’t know about the quant.i.ty or quality of the core acquired by either of them.

“It was not that good. I have 72 Low-grade core, 57 Mid-grade, and one High-grade core. What about you? ” Felix said this with a calm expression but on the other side, Jin was like normal human listening to the achievement of great warriors but he suddenly asked out of curiosity~

“High-grade core? How did you get that?” Jin knew the rarity of the high-grade core.

“It’s like this...when you were busy hunting beast I was resting near a rock as I had enough core but suddenly the rocks transformed into a turtle. The thing I thought was rock was actually the protective sh.e.l.l of the turtle. The turtle started roaring and attacked me. It was an elemental beast with the water trait. I was planning to run away because turtle usually is slow but to my surprise, that particular turtle also acquired the shadow trait and its speed was comparable to mine. I thought it was my last day but suddenly a roar came from the depth of the forest which make the turtle fear. I took that opportunity to sneak attack on the turtle with the most powerful attack and thankfully it work and I won but again the roar origin must be freighting to scare a beast of that strength. If I'm correct, that roar must be the beast you told me about. The Ruler! ” Felix gave the proper description of the incident but jin asked again~

“What was the turtle’s Strength?”

“Probably level one PZ*”

“Then we could only imagine the strength of the beast which made the roar. We must leave or else we might become the Prey”

Deep in the wood, A beast of unknown strength was watching the action of the duo. The beast’s eyes were cold and filled with killing intent. Who was this beast? Why was it not attacking the Duo? The mystery to be solved in next chapter…..
