The Annals of the Flame Kingdom – Chapter 2 pt 2/?

So after some careful consideration with the other guys, I have decided that I will be dropping Flame due to certain reasons. Homework is piling up and there are some personal issues going on back home. We are very sorry for this but we promise that we will find someone to take over as soon as possible. Again, we are sorry for giving you this bad news. We will provide you guys with the link to the new translators at the bottom of this post.

The Alex Road ・Horse Carriage
It was said that the 「Alex Road」 that connected the whole of the Orkena continent was constructed over a period of thirty years during the rule of the founder of Flame, King Alex. Although the highway had been completed while King Alex was still alive, due to his old age, he hadn’t had a chance to step onto the road before his death. However, being able to complete a construction of such a marvel within one generation, and being able to witness its completion with his very own eyes, King Alex was indeed a very lucky man. This road that allowed the habitants of Orkena to travel around the continent, also displayed the greatness and wisdom of the Founder.

The Alex Road did not betray its description of 「great road」. Its width allowed up to four carriages to ride along the road shoulder to shoulder at the same time. There were infrastructures such as inns at regular intervals along the road, allowing travelers to stay for the night, to rent a horse and get a swing of alcohol. As such, for travelers, they were places to rest and relax after a long trip.

「So … … May I know where the next stop is, Miss Noel?」

「Y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-y-yes! T-t-t-t-t-t-t-the next stop is an inn called 『Helun』!」

Bored of looking at the scenery outside the window – which was just plains as far as the eye could see without any buildings, Kouta turned his gaze onto the girl sitting in front of him. She had wavy golden locks that reached her shoulder, a pair of clear blue eyes and voluptuous lips. The girl that was slightly younger than Kouta wore a jet black evening dress that emphasized her chest. The phrase 「hanged on her frame」 would be better fitting than 「wore」tough.

Although this girl that lacked the charm of an older woman was not exactly 「an otherworldly beauty」, her appearance alone was still able to charm the hearts of men.

「『Holland』,huh. This is my first time visiting an inn, so I’m looking forward to this.」

「L-looking forward! Yes! You said you’re 『looking forward』to it!」

Seeing her acting as if nothing was wrong, Kouta sighed inwardly. The girl had acted this way ever since they departed from Rarkia quite a few hours ago.

「Could you please stop talking like that? Does my face look that scary?」

No matter how fervently the girl tried to explain her actions with a terrified expression, Kouta could not accept any of it. He never terrified anyone before. On the contrary, he had been asked the question of 「Kouta, you’re a vegan, aren’t you~」.
To be honest, Noel’s actions greatly dispirited him.
