A late Merry Christmas to everybody. 

This chapter was supposed to come out way earlier but I caught a cold right after my finals so I've been dealing with a sore throat, slight fever and headache, and stuffy nose these past days. The first three days I had to have tissues with me at all times and I couldn't even look at a screen without my eyes hurting. It is not one of the best ways to start winter break. Well, it's better than earlier this year in January when I caught a cold and was running a fever and this was right before midterm week. A few years ago during Thanksgiving, I woke up feeling weak and took one bite of bread when I felt like throwing up. I had just only taken one step towards the trash can and then just threw up right there on the floor. That day I had to stay in bed the whole day. I just get sick during the worst times ever. Well, enough ranting.

Chapter 19 Hidden Truth

Seeing that Old Madam is angry and that she is standing nearby, Wu SheYue walks up and starts ma.s.saging Old Madam's shoulders. She takes advantage of this opportunity to sit to the side. 

Wu LiXiang sneers, really is better than Wu JingHua at bootlicking. Liu s.h.i.+ pushes Wu LiXiang a little. At this moment, it's better not to fight for favor. 

A while later, the manor's doctor finally steps out of the inner room and XinZhi's cries of pain has also stopped. Wu HanTian anxiously asks, "How is the 8th Prince?"

"This……." With a face full of sweat, the manor's doctor sighs will saying, "The middle finger on the right hand has been dislocated. It needs time to recover and there won't be any problems later on. Hearing this, Old Madam covers Wu SheYue's hands with her own. "What do you mean by this. Tell grandmother how 8th Prince was injured."

Wu SheYue had not spoken when XinZhi comes out of the room with his two hands wrapped like a zongzi. You couldn't even see his fingertips. He walks over and sits down that the seat Meng yiniang was sitting in. With cross legs he says, "Old Madam, this prince's hands are crippled, what do you think should be done about this?"

Wu SheYue stares at XinZhi, her heart goes through numerous twists and turns. This 8th Prince is not only fond of women but is also a perfect model of a dandy person. But it's these types of people that are hard to take care of. If it's a type like Meng yiniang, there are many ancient Chinese rules to constrain her. However, XinZhi, other than anything that is very special that can poke at his heart, it's very hard to get a hold of him. Originally she had planned on using martial arts but looking at the situation that had just happened, the value of her martial arts is too low~ Old Madam still remembers what Wu SheYue had just said and continues to question closely, "8th Prince, just how did you get injured, it's probably not done by our Third guniang.

XinZhi raises a hand to points at Wu SheYue's nose, "Ai, but it just so happens she was the one who injured this prince's hands. If you guys want to protect her, then we can discuss this with my father emperor. Hmph~"

"There's no need, why don't we properly discuss this." Wu HanTian quickly coaxes 8th Prince. "How about this subject giving 8th Prince some gifts as apology?"

"What do apology gifts matter, I'm still injured!" XinZhi eyes move around, thinking. "Well, I'm not a fussy person. My hand has been injured, before it recovers, I need someone to wait on me with clothing, food, and accommodation. Who injured me is the one who will wait on me!"

Wu HanTian just knows that after saying so much it's just that he has pulled back on his words and wants to marry Wu SheYue. But the daughter he wants to marry…….is too similar to Yin QiuMing. If his other daughters had their marriage annulled and then wanted to marry again, he would not agree but Wu SheYue…….

"Then YueEr and 8th Prince's engagement still counts?"

XinZhi glances at Wu SheYue, with much effort he says, "Ah~that's also fine, this prince's hands are very precious but if you give me a concubine daughter from the Prime Minister's Manor, although it's a bit of a loss for me it's fine. If my hand recovers then we can let this matter slide. However, if the tendons and bones are injured and can't recover, then we'll talk about compensation. 

Seeing 8th Prince's shameless bargain, Old Madam keeps a straight face, unhappy on the inside. Out of all the princes, 8th Prince is the one who has no promising future. Just before she had been thinking that such a beautiful granddaughter will be able to draw a person with reasonable background over. If she really did send her to 8th Prince, then she really is blind. 

At this moment, Wu LiXiang's mood becomes good. Wu JingHua has been forbidden to eat and Wu SheYue is going to marry 8th Prince as a concubine, really is something that makes one happy. Now, other than Wu LiuYun who she can beat no matter what, the others all have to stand back. 

Wu SheYue didn't think that Wu HanTian would be this "gutless," she sighs and thinks to herself, looks like she still has to rely on herself to save herself. "Ai? YueEr needs to go with 8th Prince?"

"Yes, you need to go with prince." XinZhi stares at Wu SheYue, a look of killing intent flashes in his eyes. "I need to take you back and look at you, see what other tricks you have up your sleeves."

"But, 8th Prince said that he killed my yiniang! Is that not true?" Wu SheYue turns around to ask Old Madam. "If 8th Prince was the one who killed my yiniang, why should YueEr go with him, does he also want to kill YueEr."

Being asked this, Old Madam becomes frightened, she is even clear on these matters?

XinZhi immediately jumps out of the chair. "When did I say I killed your yiniang!"

"It was you! Today, 8th Prince told the imperial guard to use a sword to cut me, I pleaded by saying 'Please look on the account that I don't have a yiniang, spare me.' In the end, didn't 8th Prince yell, 'It wasn't me, it wasn't me.'

Wu SheYue looks as if she had been wronged. "All the civilians outside heard you say that, it's not only me. Also, it was 8th Prince's imperial guard who was holding the sword and 8th Prince's hands met it by themselves, YueEr did not injure 8th Prince. 

Hearing Wu SheYue say that XinZhi "met the sword by himself," Old Madam's face already lost color, she turns around to Wu HanTian. However, Wu HanTian is staring at XinZhi, a warning sign shown in his eyes. XinZhi is now not as arrogant as he was when he was asking for compensation, his eyes evading.
