"Please….hel…p…" (???)
Do you want to accept the quest?YESNO
A weak feminine voice rang out from the green haired person that came out of the woods right before collapsing.
There's something wrong here…Well, yeah, finding a pretty girl in the middle of the woods collapsing is also unusual and suspicious but this one…how do I say this?
I can see through her.
Literally.
I can see the ground through her…this isn't an added effect of [Dragon Eyes] right?
I checked just in case for the description and it really didn't say anything about X-ray vision. Only farsight and thermal vision.
I mean, yeah, I can use thermal vision to see heat signatures behind cold objects like walls but I only see a red blurred silhouette of the heat.
I can't see details like colors or the pebbles beneath a collapsed person.
And…oh? [Dragon Eyes] has reached Master level…and the new effect is X-ray vision…huh? Then how come I was able to see through her before?
I thought but Eu immediately answered my problem.
"A spirit?...Why would a spirit show herself to anyone? More importantly, for such a creature to collapse and ask for help…" (Euomun)
"A spirit?" (Lucas)
"Oh, yes. They are different kinds of spirit, explaining all of them would take too long but this one here is clearly a forest spirit." (Euomun)
Then if this spirit is here…she must be [Dorville Forest's] spirit?
But if that's the case, then why the forest would be named after a monster?
"Spirits don't usually show themselves to anyone, hence, no one has ever heard of their names so the forest is named after different sources. In fact, they were believed to be a mere myth by humans." (Euomun)
I see.
Certainly, if the spirit doesn't show itself, then others would naturally ignore such a thing…but can Eu read minds or something?
Anyway, what are we to do with this?
I only have 2 days till time unfreezes.
"Well, not my problem. Let's go Eu." (Lucas)
I clicked the [No] in the quest confirmation window that I've ignored till now.
That's right, why would I help her anyway? It's not like helping her would cause world peace.
For a while, Eu let out a shocked expression.
"A-are you serious? Aren't you a [Hero]?" (Euomun)
"Wrong, that's just what they call me without my consent. Hm?" (Lucas)
I thought Eu would be the one that will force me to stop so I had turned my back to her immediately but…in front of me were the monsters I tamed.
From them, a single [Dorville] stepped out as if it were the representative of the group…come to think of it, I think this one is the first monster I tamed, Vil.
"What do you want?" (Lucas)
Vil stretched out her hands…rather, paws, towards me.
"What? You want me to stop and help this spirit forest?" (Lucas)
Vil nodded her head together with the monsters behind her and performed a series of hand…paw movements.
Another quest confirmation window appeared but I ignored it for now and listened to Vil.
Do you want to accept the quest?YESNO
"Hm, I see. If the spirit dies, then so will everyone that lived inside its forest. Then why not just leave the forest?...Oh? This is your home so you don't want it to die?...I see…hm? Ohhh……that's interesting….eh?.......well……fine. I'll help her." (Lucas)
Cure the [Dorville Forest] SpiritThe spirit of the [Dorville] forest has asked you for your help!
Note that if you were to fail this quest, your tamed monsters that lived in this forest will hate you and will no longer follow you.
Requirement: Remove the poison from the spirit's body.
Difficulty: B
Reward: ???
"L-Lucas!? What just happened!? How can you understand those paw movements!?" (Euomun)
Ah…now that you mentioned it…
Well, even if you ask me…I also have no idea.
Maybe since they were tamed by me, I can understand them?
Well, whatever. In any case, their story was interesting.
This forest…it wasn't originally poisonous. Vil said that her parents told her the forest had only started to become poisoned about a thousand years ago.
The reason was still unclear but the fact that the forest spirit wasn't poisonous from the start was the real problem.
Unlike most creatures, spirits cannot learn poison resistance unless it was born that way from the beginning. Meaning, someone had poisoned this forest spirit which lead to the whole forest being poisoned.
Also, this meant that this one had endured the poison in her body for a thousand year…to collapse now means that she is nearing her limit.
At first, the monsters were approaching the humans for help but they cannot understand each other which lead to both sides fighting.
They had waited all this time for someone that can understand them to appear. Someone they can trust.
It seems that these guys still doubted me even though I had already tamed them but the spirit appearing before me and asking for help means that I can be trusted.
Though tamed monsters sound convenient, that is actually just an illusion.
In truth, these guys can free themselves if they want to and they threatened me that they will do so if I don't accept.
I want to use these guys in the future so I can't let that happen.
Well, can't be helped then. Let's see what we can do here.
…By the way, the thought just popped in my head but…is taming limited to monsters?
"[Tame]!" (Lucas)
I looked at Eu and said chanted the keyword for taming.
NoticeYou have successfully tamed the Demon Queen Euomun Ebrerohn Baresur!
"Pffft-!!!!???" (Lucas)
I did a spit take even though I didn't drink anything.
What the h.e.l.l was that!?
Is it this easy to tame the Demon Queen!?
I looked a Eu with a suspecting gaze.
"T-that…I-I don't mind at all so…Y-you also removed my salve collar! S-so, my rights as a slave b-belongs to y-you! A-a-a-and, y-you spared my life even when I already o-offered it! S-so basically-!" (Euomun)
Eu fidgets around with a shaky voice and a face tinged with red.
"M-my life belongs to-" (Euomun)
"[Free]!" (Lucas)
I didn't wait for her to finish and freed her.
"E-eeehhh!? W-why would you tame me then free me right after!?...so mean…" (Euomun)
I didn't hear that last part of what Eu said since her voice suddenly lowered.
Anyway, let's ignore this tamable Demon Queen for now and focus on the forest spirit. The other tamed monsters were also glaring at me with half closed eyes seemingly saying to me to stop flirting already.
Geez, how was that even called flirting?
I grabbed the unconscious forest spirit still lying face down on the ground and turned her around.
Now…how am I going to cure this one?
+ + +
Eu looked over at Lucas as he pondered on how to cure the forest spirit.
Thing between them had gotten awkward due to Lucas suddenly trying to tame Eu so she can only watch Lucas in silence at the moment.
"Geez…that Lucas, it was a first time for me to see a blue window instead of the standard red ones that I usually see from the status windows…and to think that my first encounter with a blue window would be saying that I've been tamed…" (Euomun)
A minute ago, Lucas had indeed attempted to tame Eu.
Having the tamed's feelings towards the tamer has a huge effect on the rate of taming. Eu had learned of this from Slazore.
If one were completely reject the tamer, then the chances of being tamed would be smaller. Vice versa, if one were willing to be tamed, then the chances of being tamed would be higher.
This had mean that Eu had already accepted Lucas to the point where she can be easily tamed.
But at the same time, this feeling was buried deep into Eu's heart and has not acknowledged it yet…that is, until she saw the unusual blue window saying she has been tamed.
Like gears that immediately fitted together, everything suddenly became clear to Eu.
But since it was still all too sudden, she kept making excuses as to why she was easily tamed.
But in the end, Lucas immediately freed her.
"…W-what should I do if he thinks I'm weird for being tamed easily? H-he'll probably think of me as an easy woman right? Uuuu….h-he won't try to avoid me right? H-he won't throw me away right!? Uuu…I wanna die…" (Euomun)
Though she knew that she should be helping Lucas heal the spirit, at the moment, her mind is still a mess and can't think properly.
"But now that I'm aware of this feeling…I can't let Lucas die no matter what! I will definitely help him go back to his home world! T-then…maybe…just maybe…we can l-l-l-li-live t-t-to-together…" (Euomun)
"Eu! Hey, are you even listening to me?" (Lucas)
"Y-yes! I love yuuuplaz! I love Yuplazes!" (Euomun)
"What the h.e.l.l are Yuplazes? Anyway, do you have any idea how to help this one?" (Lucas)
Yuplazes are small fluffy ball shaped monsters that are common in Demon Continent but Lucas didn't know that.
"T-that was close…I almost dug my own grave there…" (Euomun)
Eu breathed a sigh of relief as she managed to dodge a dangerous bullet to the heart but she can't help but also regret.
Regret that she wasn't able to tell her true feelings.
"I wonder…is this warm feeling really love?" (Euomun)
+ + +
"Hm…h-how about figuring out the cause first?" (Euomun)
Hmm…certainly, if we know the cause then perhaps we can find a clue as to how to cure the spirit.
Eu has been acting weird before but she can come up with good ideas if needed. As expected from the Demon Queen.
Though my heart stopped for a moment when I thought she said 'I love you'…in the end, it was Yuplaz…I wonder what that is?
She might've been daydreaming so there's a high chance that Yuplaz is a sweet or a fluffy animal.
But still…to daydream such blissfully thoughts when a spirit is suffering…what a demon. As expected from the Demon Queen.
Anyway, the monsters said that the cause was unknown, and the spirit is still unconscious which leaves us with…
"Vil, do you know where this spirit was when the incident happened?" (Lucas)
That's right, maybe we can find clues if we go to the place where she was poisoned.
Vil looked as if she was pondering for a moment then suddenly remembering so she beckoned us to follow her.
Vil took us to a clearing at what I think is the center of the forest.
I carried the spirit all the way here which led the poison to also affect me.
The poison carried by the spirit was definitely stronger than the herbs from this forest and the meat from the monsters so I inadvertently groaned in pain.
Ironically though, this led to the breakthrough that I've been waiting.
NoticeYou have learned a new skill, (Pa.s.sive) [Poison Resistance] Beginner LVL 1 (0.00%)!
Having endured multiple poisons for a long period of time without using antidotes, your body has started to adapt against the poison so it won't need the use of an antidote.
Current Poison Resistance : 3%
Good, that's one goal down!
I placed the spirit down so I can start investigating the area.
I have about 5 theories.
The spirit had unknowingly eaten a poisonous food or a poisonous plant. Food aside, it is impossible for a plant in its territory to be poisoned without her knowing and do spirits even eat normal food? Anyway, that idea is also out.
A curse from a G.o.d? But why? From how the monsters want to protect her, she shouldn't be a bad person…spirit. But you never know? Nevertheless, the probability is low.
Anyway, that's all I can think of just by hearing the story. I need to investigate.
"Oh yeah, Eu, are you already born 1000 years ago?" (Lucas)
"Hm? Yeah. At that time, papa was still in charge of the [Demon Kingdom] and I just played by myself in my room all the time…" (Euomun)
"I-I see…" (Lucas)
"That time, every time was war, war, war. War against the Humans, the Elves, the Dwarves…seriously, the noises were so loud that I can hear them in my room…" (Euomun)
Are you sure it wasn't your hearing that was extraordinary!?
"There were still no [Heroes] from that time so the humans were really easy to defeat." (Euomun)
Hm? Then how did the previous Demon King die?
"Since the noises were so loud, I got annoyed and hated war so I told papa to stop but he didn't want to. So I said to him…" (Euomun)
…This wouldn't lead to his death…right?
While I have this premonition, Eu continued her words.
"'I hate you!'. I slammed my room's door in front of him and didn't let him in. Apparently, papa despaired and killed himself after that." (Euomun)
I slammed my head against a boulder that I've been inspecting earlier.
I mean come on! This is too idiotic that face-palming isn't enough!
What wrong with this world…enough…I wanna go home…take me away from this idiotic world…
Eu merely tilted her head in confusion as she saw me in all fours while crying.
"A-anyway! After that, I was able to become the Demon Queen for about 600 years!" (Euomun)
"Though you were only a slave for a half of that…" (Lucas)
I muttered in a low voice but was still able to be heard by Eu.
"I-it can't be helped alright!? Uuuu…" (Euomun)
Eu's idiotic father aside, listening to that story…maybe her father was the actual cause of this incident?
Though I still can't see why poisoning a beginner rank forest beside the [Human Kingdom] would do any…good……..oh.
Was that why?
That guy attempted to poison this forest in order to limit the food supply of the humans?
No…that can't possibly be it. There's no need to use such underhanded methods against humans. Eu said it herself, the humans at that time were weak.
So why would the Demon King go out of his way and poison a measly beginner ranked forest? The answer's simple.
This forest isn't what it claims to be.
Perhaps…this spirit here is the key for this world's peace after all!
I can't believe it…but there's a high chance that this is right…at least, I can't see any other possibilities.
It's settled, I will definitely cure this spirit somehow!
But how? Finding the cause didn't help at all!
Unless I was wrong? But I really can't see any possible reason why she would be poisoned.
It's possible that it was someone's revenge but it didn't feel like it.
"Say…you father. Does he have any knowledge on poisons?" (Lucas)
"…Are you accusing papa?" (Euomun)
"There's a chance right? No matter what, I will save this spirit. So? Will the final boss finally step out and fight?" (Lucas)
I'm determined to take on Eu.
Though I know just how insanely strong she is, I need to save this spirit no matter what.
After all, this spirit might be able to lessen my burden in ending the conflict between the demons and humans! This is my shortcut! I can't possibly ignore it!
Hm? But I'm fighting Eu, a demon, to end the conflict between humans and demons…somehow, I feel very contradicting?
Argh, whatever! Let's just do this!
Get ready Eu! I won't hold ba-
"Ah, no. He was probably the culprit after all. I don't want to fight you…" (Euomun)
-ck…
…
…Enough…taking this girl too seriously would only hurt my head…
"Actually, I think I've seen plenty of vials filled with strange liquids in his room. Maybe those were poisons?" (Euomun)
"…Haah…in the end it's that huh? We should've went straight to your castle first, retrieve the antidote which is probably also in that same room, then go here to cure the spirit." (Lucas)
This had happened to me a lot in some games I played.
Because I find it troublesome to search every nook and cranny, I would skip some parts only to find out that there is an item somewhere in those skipped parts which I will need in the future…
d.a.m.n, though this is reality, some aspects of a game can still exist huh?
Ughhh…we wasted our time…should I abandon this shortcut and go to the [Human Kingdom] as planned?
"Hm? No, I actually have it in my Inventory. I took them when I was a kid since papa was always immersed in work and didn't notice me. Hehe, you can say I was a trouble child." (Euomun)
…
…
…
I don't know how long I spent there standing still while looking blankly at Eu who was holding different vials with different colored liquids inside, but it felt like eternity.
Ugh…even though I already said that I won't take her seriously…d.a.m.n you Eu! If you had those then say them outright from the beginning!
I glared at Eu with hateful eyes clearly showing how p.i.s.sed I am which made Eu tremble in confusion as to why she was suddenly being looked at with such eyes.
Haaah…in any case, she still has them and I'm really thankful for that so I decided to let her off and patted her head.
"Good. Now, if we can figure out which is poison and which is the antidote, then the problem would be solved!" (Lucas)
The tamed monsters, after hearing my words, were now jumping around enthusiastically clearly celebrating.
I used the [Potion Appraisal] skill in order to find out each vial's description.
Poison…paralysis……poison again….deadly poison…..curse…..t-this is…an aphrodisiac!? Ugh…I can't find any antidote!
It should be common sense to also make an antidote when making poison right!? I mean, what if an accident occurred and you ended up taking the poison you created yourself?...Then again, Eu's father is an idiot but…ugh, what am I going to do?
Should I try making the antidote myself? But that would require days of research…
d.a.m.n, in the end, these poisons are useless.
I stored the poisons away and examined her body using [Dragon Eyes] to see try and see if I can see the poison inside her body.
By the way, I tried focusing the X-ray vision to only go through her clothes on a whim but it didn't happen so it's safe to say I cannot see anyone nude.
That's a relief…women aside, I wouldn't want to see men in the nude…but I guess it's still a shame…*cough* a-anyway, seeing through her skin is possible so I looked at her internal organs.
They were very much like a humans, with a heart, stomach, brains, lungs and all that. I can't see anything…poison-like thing inside of her.
Next, I tried to use Freya's [Vampire Eyes] to inspect her bloodstream clearer and it was a hit!
Though I was surprised that spirits also have a blood, but I ignored that though immediately and focused on the other substance in her bloodstream.
With my [Vampire Eyes], I can see which blood is the purest and which is the dirtiest so it wasn't hard to spot that there was something mixed with the spirit's pure blood.
This was definitely the poison.
Now…how can I get it out of her body?
Though I have Freya's skill, I am no vampire. I don't have the teeth for injecting and drinking one's blood.
So there's only that…[Blood Rush], a skill only Vampire Lords have which greatly powers them up but with consequences.
Specifically, their thirst for blood increases.
But with this skill, I can temporarily turn into a vampire so this is the only choice!
I donned my [Nocturnal Set] instead of the [Mithril Set] since it will only weaken me if I wear it in vampire lord form.
"[Blood Rush]!" (Lucas)
I felt the bones in my body creaking, changing form, bat wing sprouted from my back which lead me to worry that my clothes had teared up, I grew fangs, my eyes turned golden…which I can't see but I clearly felt it for some reason. My usual white hair turned into a s.h.i.+ny silver color and I clearly felt more powerful.
If I'm right, then the effects of the skill should up my stats by 30% but that doesn't matter for now.
Eu and the monsters looked at me with wide eyes clearly shocked as to what just happened but I ignored them.
Also, though it was said that only the royal vampires were silver haired and red eyes, the vampire lords were said to have golden eyes which would explain why my eyes turned into a s.h.i.+ny yellow.
The chances of a vampire lord being born is about 1% in a normal family of vampires, 10% from a vampire with royal blood, 50% when one of the parents is a vampire lord and of course, 100% if both parents were vampire lords.
Freya, having a vampire lord mother and a royal vampire father had about 55% chance of being a vampire lord.
Anyway, I suddenly felt the thirst to drink blood as I stared at the spirit's bloodstream.
Somehow…it looks like the most delicious thing in the world! But that dirty blood is in the way! I should stop it before it takes anymore of the spirit's delicious looking pure blood! Ah- what am I thinking!?
A-anyway, I need to hurry up, the dirty blood has already taken about 92% of her body!
But if I take it all out…I don't think she can live with 8% of her blood…ah, I still have [Zoidentro's Amulet].
I gave her the amulet but the moment I unequipped it, I saw my HP bar decrease continually from the poisons in my body.
d.a.m.n, I completely forgot about that, I never did take any antidote so all the poison I had consumed to learn the [Poison Resistance] skill was still inside me.
Though I have the resistance, but at the moment, I can only reject 3% of the damage…Ugh, never mind. Let's just see who dies first.
Will I be able to save the spirit first or will I die from poison first?
I had the spirit equip the amulet around her neck and bit into her nape to start drinking.
What an unusual feeling this is…
While feeling uncomfortable with this new experience, I drain out the dirty blood inside the spirit which tastes awful…seriously awful!
I can't even describe how it tastes like…it's like a blend of every rotten food or something…and it only increased my health by 1% per about one fourth of a liter…
I can't take it…I decided to spit it out instead of drinking it…
As long as it was out of her system then it should be fine. I constantly suck, spit, suck, spit, suck, spit and so on.
After a minute, [Zoidentro's Amulet] started to show its effects and healed the spirit, miraculously filling up the blood lost.
This continued for about an hour or so. The sky's getting darker already…
10 minutes had pa.s.sed, I was able to finish removing the dirty blood inside her. Though the spirit still hasn't woken up, but at least it no longer had the grim expression from before.
NoticeYou have completed the Cure the [Dorville Forest] Spirit quest within the time limit!
Reward: Consult with the spirit.
+200 Fame
Looking at her relaxed face made me sigh in relief but then remembered that I only have 5% HP left!
d.a.m.n, talk about cutting it close…
"Sorry Eu, can I take a bit of your health?" (Lucas)
"Eh? A-ah…umm…….y-yes please…" (Euomun)
Eu seemed surprised and fidgeted as she answered.
She came closer to me and showed me her nape But I was too lightheaded from the severe loss of health so I didn't notice it. Also, I no longer felt the thirst for blood after tasting too much dirty blood.
"[Life Steal]!" (Lucas)
I merely held out my hand to Eu and sucked her life this way.
Haah, I feel energized! Though my MP went down, I was able to recover about 20% of my health.
This should be fine. I can let [Zoidentro's Amulet] do its work for the rest.
I deactivated [Blood Rush] and my max HP went down.
I sighed as I sat down and relaxed myself ignoring Eu who seemed dejected for some reason.
"Anyway…I thought you were a [Human], Lucas. That appearance just now was clearly a [Vampire Lord]." (Euomun)
"Well…there was a lot of circ.u.mstances soo…yeah." (Lucas)
I don't really know how to explain it all to her so I decided to prolong the answer for now.
In any case, the problem has been solved…now all that's left is to wait for the spirit to wake up.
I wore the [Mithril Set] again to get used to it.
But I can't waste any more time so I decided to train the tamed monster.
They happily accepted since they felt grateful for curing the spirit of this forest.
First, are the [Dorvilles]. Unlike inside the woods with trees surrounding us, in this clearing, it would be hard to use the same tactic as before.
Instead, I decided to prepare the stage for them.
I used Freya's [Earth Wall] as their new footholds.
[Earth Wall] has a volume larger than the basic earth element magic [Gi̱] but has a default shape which was annoying.
It would be nice if I can change its shape so the footholds can become more dynamic…can I?
I closed my eyes and tried to remember the feel of manipulating the basic spell and applied on an [Earth Wall].
[Dorvilles] are used to the trees as footholds so I should make the wall a convex shaped with the convex facing the enemy.
I made a statue of an enemy silhouette using [Gi̱] at the center before so the monsters have a target.
Next is, tilting some of the [Earth Walls] a bit upward and downward so the [Dorvilles] would have more option when attacking.
"L-Lucas, since when can you control this large volume of earth?" (Euomun)
I heard Eu's voice beside me which made me open my eyes again in curiosity.
The result, I was able to actually manipulate it and it looked just like how I imagined it to be!
Not only that, but since I finally opened my eyes, I saw the windows in front of me.
NoticeCongratulations! [Gi̱] has reached maxed level!
You can now create earth of about half of your size!
NoticeYou have learned a new skill, (Pa.s.sive) [Earth Manipulation] Beginner LVL 1 (0.00%)!
Having mastered the basic earth elemental spell [Gi̱], you have learned the secrets of manipulating earth! However, you can only manipulate earth imbedded with your mana.
Finally the breakthrough I've been waiting!
Hahahaha, now I can use other earth spells more effectively!
But what does it mean that I can only manipulate earth imbedded with my mana?
I tried manipulating the earth around me that I didn't create to test it out. The result, I can't.
I see…well, that's fine. Hopefully, I can be able to manipulate it when it reaches intermediate or something.
With this discovery, I did the same to the other elements…is what I want to say but I can only do it with water and wind as Freya has no other spells from the fire, light, and dark.
And I need 25 skill points for unlocking the other spells…haaah.
Skill points are really essential especially to mages that's why most people would level up to around 25 first in [Novice] before changing jobs.
No one had leveled up to over a hundred in [Novice] like me but all those skill points were already used up…well, I'll unlock them in the future.
Well, let's get back to the task at hand.
Creating [Earth Walls] then manipulating them to sculpt a [Cyclops] and platforms for the [Dorvilles], I left them to train for themselves.
Next are the wolf monsters, [Bladhounds]. These guys look scary and fierce but their like a pet dog to me already.
I think I tried playing fetch with them before…or was that a dream? Well, whatever. I made a [Giant] monster sculpture for them to target.
These guys are mainly for offense. Their bites have additional [Bleeding] effect and they're the stronges in terms of raw strength from the other tamed monsters.
They also fight better so there wasn't much to teach them.
I only told them to aim for the thighs when it comes to fighting large monsters in order to take away their balance and let them do the rest.
Next are the gazelle monsters, [Gauzelles]. Though they are weak, but they're still better in attacking than the [Dorvilles]…well, before I tamed them.
I made a [Minatour] sculpture as their target. Different from the gazelles from [Earth], the horns of the [Gauzelles] are thicker and stronger.
I advised them that it is better to use them as a s.h.i.+eld instead of using it as an attack so I trained them as tanks.
Their horns can also be used to disarm an enemy like using the other end of a hammer to remove a nail.
Next are the fox monsters, [Bax]. Different from the [Dorvilles], they are more specialized in ground speed since the [Dorvilles'] speed is more on their leg power or jumping power. The [Bax] has two tails and are a bit longer than that of an [Earth's] fox so I taught them how to use it to confuse the enemy.
I made a [Troll] sculpture as their target and instructed them to use their tails to grab the foot and basically just roam around beneath them.
Together with the midair confusion by the [Dorvilles], I think this would really annoy the enemy. At least, it would delay them when they attack.
The [Bax] are also good at hiding their presence which made it harder to hunt them before but Eu had always found them immediately.
Anyway, let's move on to the [Asn.o.belas]. The man-eating plant which stood about up to my shoulders.
They can uproot themselves and use their roots to walk but that would deprive them of receiving the earth's blessing by which I mean their regenerative system.
Looking at them, I am reminded of a certain game where you fend off zombies using plants…only, this one has a vicious mouth like that of a shark's only…well, plant-ier. They can't shoot off peas like the ones in the game…or could they?
I tried creating an earth boulder…well, it's actually more like a crumpled [Earth Wall], and have them hold it in their mouths.
Next, I made their target which is just a normal [Earth Wall] on another area.
Instructing them to spit it out and hit the wall, it was a success! And the wall was even destroyed! With this, we can have long rage attacks!
Not only that but they can root themselves in place so they can regenerate!
Good, good. I patted the [Asn.o.belas] which made it happy and instructed them to continue their practice.
Lastly are the insect type monsters, [Spidrid].
I had given them the job of scouting and aerial attacks.
Their tails were also equipped with poison which made the enemy weaker. I told them that if possible, also aim for the eyes and other vital points but if they can't do it, just confusing the enemy is fine.
Things like attracting their attentions or blinding them.
I divided them to the other monsters so they can learn how to a.s.sist properly.
My [Charisma] has also been increasing slowly for leading them.
Satisfied with my monsters, I looked over them beside Eu and the unconscious spirit.
All in all, I have 53 [Dorvilles], 40 [Bladhounds], 35 [Gauzelles], 37 [Baxes], 15 [Asn.o.belases], and 20 [Spidrids]. A total of 200 monster army!
Oh yeah, in the end, coming here didn't help curing the spirit after all huh? We really wasted a lot of time…well, it's fine since we get to use this s.p.a.ce to train the monsters.
As I watch them with a satisfied face, I heard a small groan to my side.
"Uuugh…where……ah…" (???)
"Oh, finally awake huh? How are you feeling, spirit of the forest?" (Lucas)

Author's Notes
Well, a lot seemed to happened here...or maybe it's just because I took a lot of pages....well whatever. haha :p
So, some form of romance finally showed up!...Probably...that's counted right? Uuuu...I'm not good with romance so whatever - c-
The basic elemental magic has also made a breakthrough! And yes, I will converge the elemental manipulations skills in the future. Since it takes too much s.p.a.ce...
Also, for taming Eu...that was just basically for the lols but who knows? Maybe it will be put to actual use in the future? Well, we'll see :3
Another thing. It seems that many had frowned upon the 100 000 years history of the pure-blooded vampires and some says that it is too far in the past but that is [Earth] logic. This is a different world.
I know it's confusing but all these will be tackled in future arcs. :p
Anyway, who even said that the 100 000 years ago story is over? Haha, I'm not done with that yet. :3
And oh yeah, changed t.i.tle Ma.s.sacre of Monsters to Monster Ma.s.s Murderer since the former was...well, is sounded more like an event than a t.i.tle.
So! What will be Lucas' reward from the spirit? Just what is the true ident.i.ty of the spirit? How will Eu's and Lucas' relations.h.i.+p continue? What will await them when they reached the [Human Kingdom]? Will Lucas' monster army be able to fight Slazore's monster army?
Till the next chapter!
