Born at Fort Hamilton, New York Harbor, 1886. Ph.B., Sheffield Scientific School, Yale, 1907. Free lance writer in California 1907-11. Reader for the _Century Magazine_, 1911-18. In 1920, a.s.sociate editor of the _Literary Review_ of the _New York Evening Post_.

Mr. Benet's verse has attracted attention for its pictorial imagination, vigorous rhythms, and grotesque and lively fancy.
