21. Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, Nay! When the earth is pounded to powder, 22. And h.e.l.l, that Day, is brought (face to face),-on that Day will And h.e.l.l, that Day, is brought (face to face),-on that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance profit him?
24. He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for He will say: "Ah! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my (Future) Life!"
25. For, that Day, His Chastis.e.m.e.nt will be such as none (else) can For, that Day, His Chastis.e.m.e.nt will be such as none (else) can inflict, 26. And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind. And His bonds will be such as none (other) can bind.
27. (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) (To the righteous soul will be said:) "O (thou) soul, in (complete) rest and satisfaction!
28. "Come back thou to thy Lord, well pleased (thyself), and wellpleasing unto Him! "Come back thou to thy Lord, well pleased (thyself), and wellpleasing unto Him!
29. "Enter thou, then, among My Devotees! "Enter thou, then, among My Devotees!

30. "Yea, enter thou My Heaven!" "Yea, enter thou My Heaven!"
Surah 90. The City, This Countryside 1. I do call to witness this City;- I do call to witness this City;-2. And thou art a freeman of this City;- And thou art a freeman of this City;-3. And (the mystic ties of) parent and child;- And (the mystic ties of) parent and child;-4. Verily We have created man into toil and struggle. Verily We have created man into toil and struggle.

11. But he hath made no haste on the path that is steep. But he hath made no haste on the path that is steep.
12. And what will explain to thee the path that is steep?- And what will explain to thee the path that is steep?-13. (It is:) freeing the bondman; (It is:) freeing the bondman; 14. Or the giving of food in a day of privation Or the giving of food in a day of privation 15. To the orphan with claims of relations.h.i.+p, To the orphan with claims of relations.h.i.+p, 16. 17. Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, Then will he be of those who believe, and enjoin patience, (constancy, and self-restraint), and enjoin deeds of kindness and compa.s.sion.
18. Such are the Companions of the Right Hand. Such are the Companions of the Right Hand.
19. But those who reject Our Signs, they are the (unhappy) But those who reject Our Signs, they are the (unhappy) Companions of the Left Hand.
20. On them will be Fire vaulted over (all round). On them will be Fire vaulted over (all round).

6. And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,- And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,-7. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss.

And gives the lie to the best,- And gives the lie to the best,-10. We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery; 11. 12. Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide, 13. And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning. And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning.

None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones 16. Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs. 17. But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,- But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,-18. Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 19. Surah 93. The Morning Hours, Morning Bright!
1. By the Glorious Morning Light, By the Glorious Morning Light, 2. And by the Night when it is still,- And by the Night when it is still,-3. Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased.
4. And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present.
5. And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased.

6. Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)?
7. And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance.
8. And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. And He found thee in need, and made thee independent.

Surah 96. The Clot, Read!

8. Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all). Verily, to thy Lord is the return (of all).
9. Seest thou one who forbids- Seest thou one who forbids-10. A votary when he (turns) to pray? A votary when he (turns) to pray?
11. Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?- Seest thou if he is on (the road of) Guidance?-12. Or enjoins Righteousness? Or enjoins Righteousness?
13. Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away? Seest thou if he denies (Truth) and turns away?
14. Knoweth he not that Allah doth see? Knoweth he not that Allah doth see?
15. Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,-16. A lying, sinful forelock! A lying, sinful forelock!
17. Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): Then, let him call (for help) to his council (of comrades): 18. We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)! We will call on the angels of punishment (to deal with him)!
19. Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself Day, heed him not: But bow down in adoration, and bring thyself the closer (to Allah.!
