Primordial Blood Throne: Book 1 Chapter 39 – Becoming Energy Guiding
Edited by Owner
In front a series of valleys that were located on the western edge of Deep Red Mountain Range, a waterfall was existed in a distance.
Under the waterfall was an empty s.p.a.ce, Su Chen was sitting there with his legs crossed.
After more than twenty days of preparation, Su Chen finally decided to official attempt breaking through into Energy Guiding.
Breaking through into Energy Guiding meant that he had to create an inner sea within his lower abdomen (or Dan Tian), allowing him to hold Origin Energy and allowing the energy that was absorbed to be kept in a condensed state within his body, making it easier to wield. One could say that the purpose of the Forged Body Stage was to prepare the body for this moment of creating an inner sea.
Only after a human’s body was forged and achieved an initial modification by the Origin Energy, would they be qualified to establish an inner sea. It was akin to digging a foundation within a construction site before a tall building was to be constructed.
There were many methods to establish an inner sea, as they were widely spread, therefore most of them weren’t any secrets. Su Chen was well learned of the various methods available due to his family. After thinking it through, he finally decided to use Nine Revolving Golden Seas Technique.
The inner sea created using this method would be in a spiral state and would constantly be in the state of revolving.
The reason Su Chen decided to use this technique to create his inner sea was due to its two advantages. One, it had a stronger absorption ability. As Su Chen was able to see the existence of Origin Energy Light Dots, therefore, he needed a technique that could increase his speed of absorption. Although a spiral type inner sea did not have a good all rounding absorption ability, but its targeted absorption ability was very strong and suited Su Chen. Secondly, it had a large capacity. One of the greatest traits of the Nine Revolving Golden Seas Technique was that it creates the highest inner sea capacity, to put it in simple terms, high magic power*.
(Cuppa: Origin Skills was just a generic term, a hint could be seen regarding the existence of spells with the existence of the Arcane race.)
When the capacity was high, the total amount of energy required to promote to the next level would also be higher, which in turn, would lead to a slower cultivation speed. This was one of the disadvantages of the Nine Revolving Golden Seas Technique.
However, since the discovery of the Origin Energy Light Dots, Su Chen knew that his future was destined to be extraordinary, so how could he choose a common path? He naturally must improve by challenging difficulties and choose a future that can allow him to walk the furthest in life.
At this moment, Su Chen was sitting under the waterfall, listening to the sounds of falling water. Circulating the Nine Revolving Golden Seas Technique, the Origin Energy hidden within his body began to slowly gather. Originally, a person was unable to manipulate any form of Origin Energy throughout the Forged Body Stage, however, after filling the body with energy and achieving the peak of the stage, the extra energy acc.u.mulated would have nowhere else to go and begin to leak out, becoming a resource that the martial artist could use to manipulate.
To breakthrough into Energy Guiding, one must manipulate these bits of Origin Energy into their lower abdomen, polis.h.i.+ng the energy within that region and create an inner energy sea.
As the Nine Revolving Golden Seas Technique required the sea to exist in a spiral state, therefore, from the very beginning, the Origin Energy must be constantly manipulated to rotate; and the rotation will create a un
ique Origin Energy s.p.a.ce within the body.
The first spiral of Origin Energy was being prepared. Under Su Chen’s control, it began to rotate after gathering at the lower abdomen, beginning to create the Origin Energy s.p.a.ce.
At the beginning, it was also an extremely small dot.
Like a nail planted on the ground.
As the nail rotated, the inner sea began to slowly expand, forming a tiny Origin Energy vortex.
At this time, using only the Origin Energy acc.u.mulated so far would not be enough to sustain its expansion, and so it would require the aid of resources.
Fortunately, this was where Su Chen’s preparation came in.
Within the Deep Red Mountain Range, besides Fiend Beasts, there were also various types of medicinal herbs growing in it. Before he entered this place, Tang Zhen had also given Su Chen extra lessons. While he was training within the Deep Red Mountain Range, Su Chen had also managed to collect all sorts of useful herbs, just that there’s no place to use them until now so he planned to sell these herbs through Tang Zhen. Now, it would naturally be used to a.s.sist him in breaking through into Energy Guiding.
As he felt the nail being firmly planted, without any hesitation, Su Chen drank a bowl of medicinal herbs prepared in advance with one gulp. A thick medicinal power entered Su Chen’s body and was quickly refined by the absorption technique that was circulating, converting it into pure Origin Energy.
The amount of Origin Energy feeding the inner sea had suddenly increased, becoming like a raging storm wreaking havoc on flat ground, causing Su Chen to release a painful groan as his face turned pale.
Although breaking into Energy Guiding wasn’t difficult but that did not mean the process will be pleasant. Feeling the energy vortex within his body boiling, Su Chen guided and secured it inside his inner sea bit by bit, rotating it, expanding it.
When the Origin Energy from the herbs had depleted, Su Chen drank another bowl and continue his promotion.
When he completely converted the Origin Energy from three bowls of herbs, the Origin Energy Vortex within Su Chen had turned into the size of a bowl and was unable to expand any further, Su Chen knew that his inner sea had been created, next, he must stabilize the inner sea by fusing it with his body permanently.
The stabilization process of the inner sea was rather time consuming, Su Chen spend three whole days before it was completed.
On the fourth day, as the sun hanged in the sky, s.h.i.+ning brightly, Su Chen finally opened his eyes.
A glint of light flashed across them.
Energy Guiding Realm success!
“Ah!!!”
Su Chen released a long shout into the sky.
He had finally reached Energy Guiding.
From now on, he had become a real Origin Master. He could use Origin Energy, could master Origin Skills; he no longer needed to fight only with brute strength.
Of course, he currently did not have any Origin Skills, but even so, he was no longer restricted like he was in the past.
The first thing, was that he no longer needed to rely on Origin Stones to use the Origin Armaments, since each Origin Stone was money, then it should be cherished like money. Next, even if he does not have any Origin Skills, he could still coat his body with a layer of Origin Energy to increase his defense, or on his fist to increase his attack, or even on his feet to increase his speed. Although it won’t be as efficient as Origin Skills, it was still much stronger as compared to normal martial artists.
With the increase in strength, it also increased Su Chen’s confidence, giving him more confidence to face the upcoming battles.
Time flew by and another month pa.s.sed by.
Within the forest, Su Chen was currently engaging in battle with a twin-tailed multicolored tiger.
It was a type of Fiend Beast that had a violent temper and possessed extremely strong attacks, its innate Origin Skill was Twin-Tail Garrote, it could strike at its target during mid air and had the power to easily snap a large tree in half, its power wasn’t below that of the Green Eye Fury Ape.
However, Su Chen had a confident smile as he faced this terrifying beast.
He raised the Ink Pattern Battle Blade in his hand and used it to taunt the ferocious tiger.
The tiger, with a violent disposition, roared and pounced.
The Ink Pattern Battle Blade released two consecutive flashes, landing two Blood Slaughters simultaneously onto the tiger’s body. The tiger roared and used its twin tails to attack; a wind was gently created below Su Chen’s feet, as he retreated. He fired multiple shots with the Hunter’s Firearm on his left hand. This time, he aimed at a spot that was higher than normal, countless bullets landed onto the existing wounds of the tiger, causing it to roar in pain.
He tried to pounce with all his might but what awaited him was an even more vicious Blood Slaughter skill.
This blade attack nearly hacked the tiger into two pieces, although the tiger managed to use its twin tails to successfully land an attack on Su Chen before it died, but it was neutralized by Su Chen when he activated Purple Crystal barrier.
This was a clean victory.
Compared to before, Su Chen’s strength had a distinct increase.
Seeing the tiger corpse in from of him, Su Chen mumbled, “A pity, wasting such a beautiful tiger skin.”
As his strength increased, the standard he sets for himself increased.
When Su Chen killed a Fiend Beast now, he no longer purely sought to just defeating his opponent, he also aimed to retain as much of its original value as possible. The tiger skin of this multicolored tiger was vibrant and had a high demand. Su Chen had tried to leave an intact corpse. Yet the tiger wasn’t cooperative and fought back harshly. Failing to reciprocate Su Chen’s kindness, resulting in a b.l.o.o.d.y aftermath.
It was fortunate that with his increase in strength, Su Chen could also increase the number of Blood Slaughters he could use from three times to four times.Although he would still feel weak after three attacks but he will no longer be like last time, to be unable to move a single step. As he continued to increase in strength, the number of times he could use Blood Slaughter will increased.
When the last of the Origin Energy Dots emitted from the tiger corpse had dispersed, Su Chen manage to absorb thirteen energy dots in total.
The Nine Revolving Golden Seas Technique had distinctively increase his speed of absorption.
As Su Chen calculated, over the past month, he had improved from ten yellow stars to twelve yellow stars, officially an Origin Master of First Layer Energy Guiding Realm.
One yellow star was equivalent to ten white stars, Su Chen used one month to increase two yellow stars worth of Origin Power, it was equivalent to an increase of twenty white stars of strength, this speed was exceptionally frightening. Once must know that previously, Su Chen could only increase three white stars of power in a month.
This naturally was because of Su Chen’s increased strength after entering Energy Guiding Realm which allowed him to enter deeper into the mountain range. The more Fiend Beasts he encountered, the more kills were made, and the more Origin Energy was absorbed.
Although Su Chen wished to continue staying in Deep Red Mountain Range, the period of the Deep Red Discipline has reached its end.
The hundred days were up and he should return home to report.
