VOLUME 1 CHAPTER 8 : THE a.s.sAULT
Inside the academy that had declared the emergency status, while Asha is holding the military spirit, a lot of students were evacuating.

“Have the spirit knight’s order not arrived yet!?”
“You told us to run, but where should we go!”
“Teacher! What happened!”

Student’s voice that fell into panic can be heard everywhere.
The teachers shouted to get the students to a safe place somehow.
Mixed with those students, Alca and Raios also runs. The fainted Akito rest on Raios’ back.

“Geez! I don’t know the situation at all! What happened!?”

Alca shouted in confusion. Facing her, Raios shouted.

“Anyway, let’s go to the school building. Though I don’t know… whether it’s safe or not. But It should be better than staying here.”

While shouldering Akito, Raios listened to his surroundings.

“Why don’t teachers fight!?”
“If it’s like this, we can only follow you!? What should we do!”
“N, No…. We can’t really fight….”

Pressed by the students, the teachers seem troubled. Looking at them like that, Raios clicked his tongue.

(Despite knowing the teachers basically aren’t suitable for battle….)

Raios got angry at the students’ selfishness. There are only panicked students around him, there isn’t anyone who can make a calm judgement.

While thinking about his friend who rests on his back, Raios thinks. He knew that the boy called “The Dunce” has strong willpower in this kind of situation.

Raios decided to stop thinking and move his legs. Then, Alca who is irritated shouts.

“Geez! Why do you always sleep in this kind of situation!”

While staring at Akito who rests in Raios’ back, she is moving her legs. She also know that Akito’s idea can be useful at times like this.

Raios retorts to Alca who start saying strange things from many confusions. He can’t believe about her “a bit”

“Geez! Stupid Akito! Wa-ke-up!”

Alca starts jumping, hopping, and hitting Akito’s head. Will her wish fulfilled

“Hmm…. Hoa~… Ehh? Where am I?”

Surprisingly Akito did wake up. For the time being Raios put down Akito who looks around restlessly.

“Ehh? Why does it become a chaotic situation like this? That said, how is the match?”
“You! What kind of stupid things are you saying despite you were sleeping until now!”
“No, I’m usually like this right. Calm down for now”
“Howaa! Don’t pick me to your shoulders! Ahh… So high! It’s fun!”

Raios suddenly lift Alca who starts screaming and put her on his shoulder Then she laughs innocently like a small child.

“Then? Raios, seriously what’s this?”

Looking at their situation with scornful eyes, Akito asked while looking at his surroundings. So, Raios explains it to him too.

“During the match, a military spirit appeared in the field. Because of that, the match was interrupted. The emergency was announced and it became like this now.”
“Ha!? Military spirit!? Moreover, in the field during the match!?”
“Aa, that’s right”

When Raios easily explained the situation, Akito was surprised for a moment and then, looked at his surroundings calmly.

“Hmm~… Ok, let’s run?”
“Now, we are in the middle of evacuation. The problem is that there are too many people, so we can’t move like we want.”

Pon! Because he hit his hand and said it straight face, Raios was amazed. Alca who sits down at Raios’ shoulder looks down at him.

When the teacher shouts while looking at the monitor, the students said it in panic. Raios who become interested looks at the monitor too.
There, a girl with strong light in her eyes is readying her bow.

“Wha…, What the heck is she doing!”

Seeing that, Alca shouts. For her, she is one of her cla.s.smates. Moreover, she lost her father because of military spirit. Working in the spirit knight order, her father who was also an expert in battle, was …
That dreadfulness, she should know about it more than anyone in that place.

Akito also looks at that scene while gritting his teeth. Then —

“Sorry. Both of you, I want to go to the toilet”

While shouting, she enhances the arrow and then releases it. That arrow pierced the leg of the military spirit.

– O Water! Now is the moment to be my strength, be the power to defeat my enemy! Aqua Blast!!

When she chanted the expansion, spirit magic is activated from the arrow. A powerful force of water becomes a water pillar and raises up to the sky.
But, the military spirit that got showered with it, is only wet like it is just taking a bath. Looking at that, Asha knees lose its strength.

She didn’t faint because of extreme condition, but her physical strength had completely gone. Towards her, the military spirit opens its mouth.

Such scream was heard and a shadow flow above her head. The shadow leapt over her jumped to the front of the white bullet.

The bullet and the shadow collided, an intense sound and a flash filled her vision. Along with that, a shock wave blows violently.
Those dusts and flash, and then the shock wave hit Asha. However, It’s just that.
That despairly powerful bullet that the powerful military spirit released to take her life, was completely blocked by that shadow.

She mutters while looking at the person in front of her. Her eyes, are welling up with tears.

“Thanks for waiting…. Or rather you aren’t waiting huh. It’s better to say that I will help you here“

Having a big s.h.i.+eld in his left hand, the boy laughed after defending the light bullet with only that. Looking at this figure, she is more surprised.
