MATERIALS.--Brooks' Goat's-head Netting and Knitting Cotton, No. 36.

Brooks' Embroidering Goat's-head Cotton, No. 40. Rather a fine Embroidering Needle. Steel Mesh, No. 12 Steel Netting Needle.

Work the same number of squares, as in the engraving, by commencing on one st.i.tch, and increasing one at the end of every row till you get sufficient length of one side; and then decrease one at the end of every row by taking two loops into one. Then darn according to the engraving.
