Chapter 70 – She's married (Part 1)

When Jing Yichen arrived at the office, he waited for a while but still didn't see Shangguan Ning reporting to him.

He felt it was somewhat strange, but didn't have the time to think further into it as he had an emergency meeting with department chiefs concerning the first day of the year. He first contacted the deputy manager in charge of the overseas mineral business of Jing Sheng.

She opened it, and found it was a message from Jing Yichen.

“Because of an emergency, it's already time for me to go on the business trip abroad. Anything else I need to do today has to be rescheduled to a later date. If there are any weeds entangling with you, let Li Duo take care of them.”

Shangguan Ning was stunned for a long while before she could react. What did he mean by “weeds”?

Did he see her talking to Xie Zhuojun in the reception room just now?

When she first sent her resume to her uncle, she naturally filled in the form as 'unmarried'. However, when Jing Yichen took office and soon after married Shangguan Ning, he immediately changed her marital status.

So now, on all of Shangguan Ning's resumes that were sent to the various Jing Sheng's department heads, one could see a very clear 'married' in her marital status.

The women in the group who were eager to seduce the new president were all relieved to see that Shangguan Ning was already married, and felt like they had fortunately gotten rid of a strong rival.

When the men saw her married status, they all felt it was a pity and sighed that they had no more chance to pursue her.

Shangguan Ning didn't know that her marital status had been modified, but she suddenly felt like the female employees who had previously been guarding against her like a thief made a hundred and eighty degrees change in their behavior, and were much more enthusiastic towards her.
