Daddy.

‘Our daughter doesn’t like me holding her because she doesn’t recognise I’m her daddy yet,’ Gu Jiao Wu said. ‘She’ll stop crying after she understands I’m her daddy.’

Gu Jiao Wu smiled after Xiao Bao stopped crying in his arms.

Qiao Tan Yuan scoffed, and dismissed Gu Jiao Wu’s words.

‘My daughter stopped crying because she’s too tired to cry anymore,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said.

‘Xiao Bao is my daughter too,’ Gu Jiao Wu said.

‘Xiao Bao is my daughter,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said.

Qiao Tan Yuan didn’t care if she was half naked, she wasn’t going to let Gu Jiao Wu steal Xiao Bao.

Gu Jiao Wu didn’t want to let go of Xiao Bao. If Xiao Bao finally stopped crying in his arms, it meant if he carried her more often she would understand he was her daddy.

Xiao Bao saw Qiao Tan Yuan’s hands, and cried loudly when Gu Jiao Wu didn’t let Qiao Tan Yuan hold her.

‘Xiao Bao don’t cry,’ Gu Xiao Wu said.

‘Give back my daughter,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said. ‘Can’t you see she’s crying?’

Qiao Tan Yuan took Xiao Bao from Gu Jiao Wu’s arms, and gently patted Xiao Bao’s back.

‘Xiao Bao, it’s mummy,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said. ‘Xiao Bao don’t cry. Be good for mummy.’

Xiao Bao stopped crying, and Qiao Tan Yuan sat on the sofa and held Xiao Bao protectively in her arms.

‘Do you see now?’ Qiao Tan Yuan asked Gu Jiao Wu. ‘My daughter doesn’t need you. You can go.’

Gu Jiao Wu looked at his empty arms and felt sad. Qiao Tan Yuan didn’t want to see him, and Xiao Bao didn’t want him to hold her. His nephews were almost two months old, they let him hold them and they smiled at him. But why did Xiao Bao hate him, and didn’t let him hold her?

Gu Jiao Wu didn’t leave, he sat on the sofa next to Qiao Tan Yuan. He gently held Xiao Bao’s hand, but Xiao Bao ignored him and played with Qiao Tan Yuan’s dress.

‘Our daughter stopped crying,’ Gu Jiao Wu said. ‘Let me hold her for a while.’

‘Do you want my daughter to cry again?’ Qiao Tan Yuan asked. ‘Go. Don’t stay here and scare Xiao Bao.’

Scare Xiao Bao? Gu Jiao Wu knew he had a handsome face. Why would his face scare Xiao Bao?

‘Our daughter isn’t scared of me,’ Gu Jiao Wu said.

Qiao Tan Yuan ignored Gu Jiao Wu, and carried Xiao Bao to the nursery for Mrs Chu to watch over Xiao Bao while she showered.

When Qiao Tan Yuan returned to her bedroom, Gu Jiao Wu was still in her bedroom.

‘Why didn’t you leave?’ Qiao Tan Yuan asked.

Gu Jiao Wu caged Qiao Tan Yuan against the door.

‘Get off me,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said.

Qiao Tan Yuan acted like Gu Jiao Wu’s proximity didn’t affect her.

‘Before did you ask the little white rabbit to kiss you?’ Gu Jiao Wu whispered in Qiao Tan Yuan’s ear.

Gu Jiao Wu only needed to think about how Quan Zheng Hao would have kissed Qiao Tan Yuan if he didn’t run to the elevators in time, and the discomfort in his heart would bubble.

‘Yes, I asked him to kiss me,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said. ‘You have no right to interfere. Quan Zheng Hao isn’t the only man who kissed me. Shen Cheng kissed me too. Who do you think you are? Gu Jiao Wu, we’re divorced. I can kiss or sleep in any man’s bed without needing your permission.’

Gu Jiao Wu creased his brows. Shen Cheng kissed Qiao Tan Yuan? He didn’t want to think about other men kissing Qiao Tan Yuan. He held Qiao Tan Yuan’s waist, and kissed her fiercely. Her lips belonged to him, and only he had the right to see her beautiful face when she o.r.g.a.s.med.

Qiao Tan Yuan had no room to escape. She was trapped between Gu Jiao Wu’s body and the door. His kiss made her heart race. He pulled down her underpants, inserted his fingers into her and caressed her. She bit her lips, and swallowed her moan. He withdrew his fingers, hastily pulled down his pants and thrust hard into her.

‘Um…’ Qiao Tan Yuan moaned softly.

‘Mum asked me to tell you to come downstairs to eat dinner,’ Qiao Jie asked from outside the door. ‘Big sister… are you OK?’

Qiao Tan Yuan’s hand covered her mouth. She didn’t want Qiao Jie to hear her moans of pleasure.

Gu Jiao Wu squeezed Qiao Tan Yuan’s breast, thrusted harder into her and bit her hand that was covering her mouth.

‘Big sister…’ Qiao Jie called.

‘Open your mouth and answer him,’ Gu Jiao Wu whispered.

Qiao Tan Yuan’s soft inner walls tightened around Gu Jiao Wu’s c.o.c.k. She bit her tongue while her body vibrated with pleasure.

‘Um… I’ll come… down soon… um…’ Qiao Tan Yuan said.

Gu Jiao Wu withdrew, and thrust deep inside Qiao Tan Yuan. He bit her wrist, and she pressed her hand tighter against her mouth to stop moans escaping her mouth. He held her by the waist, and carried her to the bed. The moment her back touched the bed, he thrusted into her trembling tightness, withdrew and e.j.a.c.u.l.a.t.ed on her stomach.

Gu Jiao Wu held Qiao Tan Yuan on the bed until their breathing became steady again. Then he reached for tissues, cleaned their bodies and pulled up his pants.

‘Did you enjoy the thrill of not getting caught?’ Gu Jiao Wu asked.

Qiao Tan Yuan glared at the Gu Jiao Wu’s satisfied grin. Thrill? If Qiao Jie had pushed the door open, she would be too embarra.s.sed to look at Qiao Jie in the eye again. Lucky Xiao Bao didn’t cry or Mrs Chu would have carried Xiao Bao into the room.

‘Gu Jiao Wu go to h.e.l.l!’ Qiao Tan Yuan cursed.

Gu Jiao Wu looked at Qiao Tan Yuan’s embarra.s.sed face and smiled.

‘Shouldn’t you dress and go downstairs?’ Gu Jiao Wu asked. ‘Qiao Jie and your parents are waiting for you to eat dinner.’

‘You… AH!’ Qiao Tan Yuan cursed.

Qiao Tan Yuan blushed, got out of bed and changed into a clean dress.

Gu Jiao Wu walked downstairs first. Qiao Jie was playing games on his phone, and Mr and Mrs Qiao were watching the news at the dining table while waiting for Qiao Tan Yuan.

Qiao Jie, Mr and Mrs Qiao were surprised to see Gu Jiao Wu, but they didn’t object to him eating dinner with them.

After Qiao Tan Yuan was satisfied her clothes covered Gu Jiao Wu’s bite marks, she walked downstairs to eat dinner.

‘You… why are you here?’ Qiao Tan Yuan asked Gu Jiao Wu.

‘What took you so long?’ Mr Qiao asked. ‘Everyone’s waiting for you to eat dinner.’

‘Dad, I’m here now,’ Qiao Tan Yuan said.

Qiao Tan Yuan thought Gu Jiao Wu had driven home. She ignored him and sat down. But he sat down next to her.

‘Who gave you permission to sit?’ Qiao Tan Yuan asked. ‘Go home and eat dinner.’

‘Tan Yuan…’ Mrs Qiao warned. ‘Don’t be rude. Jiao Wu is welcome to eat dinner here.’

‘Mum…’ Qiao Tan Yuan sulked.

Mr and Mrs Qiao glanced at Gu Jiao Wu’s bite marks on Qiao Tan Yuan’s neck and hand.

‘Everyone eat,’ Mr Qiao said.

Qiao Jie wanted to stand up for Qiao Tan Yuan, but Mr Qiao gave him a warning look to use his mouth to eat dinner.

Everyone listened to Mr Qiao and ate dinner.

‘Jiao Wu, I heard you’ve been managing Gu’s company for a couple of months now,’ Mr Qiao said.

‘Yes uncle,’ Gu Jiao Wu said.

‘Do you plan on staying here for good?’ Mrs Qiao asked.

‘Yes aunty,’ Gu Jiao Wu said. ‘Aunty, uncle, I plan to remarry Tan Yuan.’

Qiao Jie scoffed and Mr and Mrs Qiao were speechless.

‘Who wants to marry you?’ Qiao Tan Yuan asked coldly.
