Jianshe Road was the second largest pedestrian street in the city. Unlike the one in downtown, Jianshe Road seemed less commercial. The cafés and various small shops made the street very comfortable and relaxing. There were only a few commercial buildings, mainly were occupied with clock and watch service, clothing and luxury goods. On the contrary, there were more foreign restaurants from various places and countries. People usually said that you could taste the food of half of the world if you were here.

Su Jianan liked it here, and she used to come here with Luo Xiaoxi to spend the whole day.

She said to him like he was the driver. “Let’s go to Wanhong Mansion.”

The mansion was the highest commercial building on the street. Su Jianan usually bought all the daily necessities in a supermarket which sold imported goods on the fourth floor.

Lu Boyan was familiar to the place, so he parked the car in the underground parking lot of the commercial building, and then entered the elevator with Su Jianan.

The sightseeing elevator was s.p.a.cious and bright, and faced exactly to the front desk of the supermarket. Su Jianan skillfully took a shopping cart and put the black bag in it. She asked Lu Boyan. “Would you like to buy anything?”

“My aftershave is running out,” Lu Boyan said, “would you pick one for me?”

“Okay,” Su Jianan answered easily, “I bought my brother aftershaves for four or five years, trust me!”

Su Jianan was very familiar with the supermarket. She then walked directly to the corner of the daily necessities area with Lu Boyan, and stopped in front of the men’s aftershave shelf.

The supermarket had gotten new stock. She took a few comparisons and said, “Replace the kind you used before, I think this is more suitable for you.”

Since Lu Boyan had been using a French-made one, so in fact, he was accustomed to it. Just like the clothes he wore, which were all customized by the tailors for so many years. Once he chose, he would not easily change his mind, so he had never thought about replacing it.

“Okay,” he took it and put it in the shopping cart, “I trust you.”

Su Jianan was somewhat surprised. She was aware that she might not totally know him, but he had some habits just like hers—They both had supreme demand on the wearing and necessities, thus they would not easily replace the things they got used to use.

After buying the things that Su Yicheng and Lu Boyan needed, they went to the ladies’ supplies area with the cart.

The cart was kind of small, so it was necessary for them to draw very close to each other if they wheeled it together. Su Jianan also sometimes turned her head to talk to Lu Boyan with a smile, which made them look like a normal sweet couple.

Lu Boyan also secretly enjoyed her rare intimacy.

The ladies’ supplies area was much larger than the men’s, since it was filled with all kinds of goods with various colors. Su Jianan carefully selected while slightly lowering her head. She looked very charming when she looked confused and serious at the same time.

Lu Boyan used to think they were c.u.mbersome in the past, but at the moment they looked cute in his eyes, especially when they were put next to his aftershave and other stuff.

He even thought that the entire supermarket display had become pleasing.

Su Jianan couldn’t think of anything to buy after buying the daily necessities, but she thought it would be a pity to not show Lu Boyan around the market, since he barely came here.

She then pointed to the fresh food area opposite the side. “Shall we go there and take a look?”

Lu Boyan pushed the shopping cart with her and happened to run into the crayfish that had just arrived by air.

Su Jianan was so excited that the wild, pollution-free crayfish were still alive after traveling for such a long time. Lu Boyan a.s.sumed without thinking about it that she must be thinking about them cooked and well placed in the plate. He asked her, “Have them sent home?”

Su Jianan was kind of dull. “Why don’t we buy it?”

Lu Boyan found her to be so stupid that it almost left him speechless. “We don’t know when we can go back, so we at least can make sure that they are still alive before cooking if we ask someone to send them home. It also means that we are buying them.”

Su Jianan understood as if she just woke up from a dream, and nodded hard with surprise while looking at Lu Boyan. It seemed like she could almost kiss him.

Then the manager of the supermarket walked over, as if he had heard the conversation between them. “Mr. Lu, how much do you need?”

“For two people,” Lu Boyan said.

“Okay,” the manager nodded, “I will send them to your home later.”

“Thank you.” Su Jianan happily thanked him and walked away with Lu Boyan with the shopping cart. “We are so lucky today. I used to come with Xiaoxi for several times, either it’s not there or it’s sold out. Let’s get some groceries to cook you a big dinner!”

Lu Boyan raised his lips and suddenly slightly tripped. Su Jianan noticed the unusual expression on his face and got nervous. “What’s wrong?”

“There is a paparazzi,” Lu Boyan said, “11 o’clock direction.”

Su Jianan did not look away. “They are here for us? Let it be, I’ve always wanted to be a star.”

Lu Boyan did not expect Su Jianan to have this reaction. “You really don’t mind?”

“What’s to mind? I get shot a lot yesterday.”

Lu Boyan suddenly buckled her waist with his arm before she finished yet. She hummed a little and suddenly understood his intention, so she emphasized again. “I don’t mind!”

Lu Boyan smiled even more, and asked Su Jianan while they pa.s.sed the fresh meat cabinet and saw the freshly soused steak. “Can you make Western food?”

“Hey, tell you a secret. I learned from a chef when I was studying abroad, and I know a lot of Western food recipes.” Su Jianan said proudly with a smile.

“Then we’ll have steak tonight.” Lu Boyan asked someone to send the steak and crayfish home together.

Su Jianan then pulled Lu Boyan to go to the fruit and vegetable area to choose the side dish. They bought a bunch of asparagus, mushrooms and something else, as well as a few fruits she loved, which soon piled up high in the cart.

“Do you need to buy anything else?” Lu Boyan asked.

“Of course.”

The snack food area was the place where Su Jianan either stayed for the shortest or the longest. Seeing her put varied snacks one after one in the cart and seemed to be more excited when she saw the crayfish, Lu Boyan didn’t stop her and just asked. “Isn’t it too much?”

“I want to take it to the office to eat,” Su Jianan said, “I haven’t bought them for a long time since we got married, because I had to deal with so many things.”

Lu Boyan said, “Next time you can ask someone to send them home.”

“No,” Su Jianan decisively refused, “I like to go to the supermarket and the grocery!”

People usually saw dirty things there, whilst she only cared about the delicious.

“Hey,” she waved her arm and said while pointing to the top of the shelf, “can you help me with the dried fruit and vegetables in the yellow bag? Take a few, because many of my colleagues like to eat this.”

Lu Boyan frowned. “Does anyone like to eat this kind of thing?”

“Why not?” Su Jianan blurted out. “Jiang Shaokai likes to eat!”

Lu Boyan faintly glanced at the small bag that had Thai written on it, and then wheeled the cart with one hand and hold Su Jianan with the other. “Buy something else.”

Su Jianan was confused. “But I like that.”

“You can also like anything else.”

Lu Boyan surprisingly persisted, left no chance for Su Jianan to even take another look. She murmured “bossy”, and asked him to get some nuts.

Lu Boyan reached out to get the nut bottle, but then took back his hand. “Kiss me, and beg me.”

Su Jianan was speechless. “It’s so difficult to ask you for help.”

“Already?” Lu Boyan snorted, “you should know that it takes a much bigger cost for others to get my help, and they may eventually don’t even have the opportunity to see me.”

Su Jianan. “…”

She thought she was not a spinless person, so she jumped to get the nuts, but she didn’t. She then sadly looked at Lu Boyan. “Honey, please…”

Lu Boyan raised his lips. “And a kiss.”

Su Jianan then tiptoed and kissed him on his cheek. “You rogue! Help me get it down, or I’ll take Xiaoxi here next time instead of you!”

Lu Boyan then took the nuts and put them in the shopping cart. “She is going to have her debut, so she may have no time to accompany you.”

Su Jianan humphed. “Then I’ll wear my high heels.” Then, she suddenly remembered. “Right, is the paparazzi… gone?”

“No,” Lu Boyan said, “he has been following.”

Su Jianan almost spat out some blood. “Lu Boyan, you just did it deliberately, right?”

Lu Boyan smiled and touched her head. “Is there anything you need, or let’s check out.”

“Use your credit card!”

Su Jianan then angrily kept putting snacks into the cart. Lu Boyan also helped her to take a few, and acted like he was completely okay with such little expenditure. Su Jianan was so p.i.s.sed off, and pushed the cart to the checkout counter.

There were more people in the supermarket than usual since it was the weekend, and there was already a queue lined up. The manager came to ask Lu Booyan if he was in a hurry, and then left because Lu Boyan said it was fine.

In fact, he was the most tired of waiting, and he hadn’t lined up for many years. Whilst he found it to be so enjoyable when standing among the crowd with Su Jianan.

If it wasn’t because of her, he couldn’t experience a lot of things that ordinary people took for granted in daily life at all.

Suddenly, some anthomaniacs whispered without even hiding. “He’s so hot, can I go get his phone number…?”

Su Jianan felt something bad then she looked away towards the sound. Sure enough, a few girls were talking about Lu Boyan, and you could almost see the pink hearts radiating from their eyes.

She then decisively held Lu Boyan’s hand. “It’s so slow, why didn’t you let the manager help us check out?”

However, Lu Boyan was more patient than ever right now. “Wait a minute, there is only one in front of us.”

Su Jianan curled her lips and put things on the conveyor belt from the shopping cart. Soon they had their turn. She asked for three shopping bags, one for snacks, one for vegetables and fruits, and the other for their daily necessities.

After the packager of the counter sorted out the goods, Su Jianan was about to carry. Whilst Lu Boyan had already lifted the two heavier bags and only left her the one with daily necessities.

Su Jianan smiled and lifted the small bag easily. “I guess I’ll take you here again next time, since you pay for everything and you are strong, I couldn’t even find someone else like you.”

“You wicked girl,” Lu Boyan bit his teeth, “l’ll teach you some lesson when we get back.”

Su Jianan then made a face to him and ran with the bag to hit the elevator b.u.t.ton.
