The Monster Inside Of My Bed Chapter 13

[Allen’s POV]

I saw a man send her back home, I followed her in my gaze until she went inside the house. She was surprised when she opened the door and saw me.

“Ah! Allen don’t misunderstand, he insisted that he-”

“It’s okay.” I cut her explanation.

“What?”

“Jessica it was okay, it is nice that you meet someone else, than spin your life in me.” I said

We are facing opposite to each other sitting on the bed, I watched her doing her a.s.signments.

“Why don’t you try to go out sometimes.” I said to her.

She glanced at me “I don’t want to, I like it here.”

“You should try to out like other people.”

“I enjoy it here, I want to stay here.”

“You should try to go out with your cla.s.smates.”

“I don’t want to.” She said.

“Why? Are they bad for you?” I asked.

“No. I just don’t want to.”

“Why? What is the reason?”

“Why are you saying this things Allen? You don’t want me to stay here?” She said, annoyed.

I don’t know what to say. “I just want to say so.”

One day the doorbell ring and Jessica’s mother called her to go down. I peeked through the window, I saw the guy who brought her home just days ago and there are flowers that he is holding.

Some time pa.s.sed, Jessica returned to her room.

“Oh? Where are the flowers?” I asked curiously.

“Ha? You saw it?”

“Yes, I saw the man carrying it. He did not gave to you?”

“I put it downstairs.” She said.

“You don’t intend it to put in your room?”

“Yes.”

“Why?”

“Why are you asking those questions Allen?” She said in irritation.

“What do you mean?” I asked.

“I don’t want you to show those flowers so you wont get angry!” She shouted.

“I will not. You are beautiful and I know people will like you.”

“You’re funny.” She said the she lay on the bed and covered herself on the blanket.

Almost a week that we are not talking to each other. I purposely tried to avoid her to forget me. I am under the bed when I suddenly heard her talking.

“Allen.” She said in whisper and her voice sounds like she is crying. I was worried so I peered to her.

She sat on the floor and wiping the tears streaming down her face. When I saw her crying my defenses weakens. I can’t endure her crying so I came out. I approached her and embraced her.

“So you h-hate m-me Allen?” She says crying.

I am hurt because I know I hurt her. I want to tell her the reason, but she may not understand.

“I’m sorry.” That’s all I can say.

She slowly turned to me from my embraced.

“What is the problem Allen?”

I look at her in her eyes in seriousness, because I had to, “You should stay away from me.”

[Jessica’s POV]

When he said that my eyes widened. Just a while ago he was sorry but now he want me to stay away?

“We can’t be together Jessica!”

“What are you talking about?” I shouted at him.

“We are different.”

“So?”

“My memories came back, I’ve remember everything. I know what and who I am.” He said.

I was shocked. “You remember?”

“Yes, before I go to the prom with you something happened which caused me to remember everything.”

“You remember everything and that’s the reason we can’t be together?”

“I was a playboy! That’s the reason why I was cursed Jessica! And trapped in this s.h.i.+t bed for hundreds of years.” He said

“I don’t care! I will still love you!” I seriously said.

“You don’t understand!”

“No. You-”

“Wake up! I’m older than you, I’m from the past which should be long gone from this world. So you  should not love me!”

What he said pains me. Is it really that easy for him to give up on me?

“I do not want you to be alone, just imagine if we would have a child and become a father I cannot support you because I am forever confined in this bed.” He added.

“I can do it for you.” I said crying.

“But I don’t want to. I want your children to have a normal father. You will grow old but I will stay in this form forever.”

“So what?”

“Listen. I really love you. But I don’t want to be selfish just because I love you. I love you that’s why I want you to be free from me. For the person that is really meant for you.” He explained.

“I understand you! I just want to keep my mind close because I really want to insist to be with you because I love you too.” I said.

“But you know I am right? right? I can’t grow old with you, I cant be a man that will be worth for you and it kills me.”

I hugged him tightly, I cant say anything because I know his right. But the feeling of not wanting to let go but  needs to pains me. I really hurts because I really love him. Because if you’re not hurt its not love.

I Feel that I am like Wendy that can’t stay forever young and live together with Peter Pan. I said to myself while hugging each other until we fall asleep together.
