Lam Can Dung had just taken a step inside when she saw her sister, Lam Can Am, with a bent body coming out. With her head not raised, the two almost collided.

"Older Sister, where did you want to go? In such a hurry?" Lam Can Dung, in a timely manner, stopped and pulled Lam Can Dung. She looked at her sister with a peaceful and happy expression.

Lam Can Am already had a marriage arrangement with Eldest Cousin, Dao Phuong Duong. Clearly, she was being teased by the future in-laws and ran away in embarra.s.sment.

Sixteen-year-old Lam Can An's blush flushed her entire face red. She did not want to face her younger sister with this face and so gently fixed the ribbons in her sister's hair. Stroking her face, Lam Can An said in an intimate manner: "Have you eaten? I had visited younger sister this morning, but you had not awakened." With a hint of beauty from Dao thi, Lam Can An had the face of peach blossoms and a mellifluous voice. Her disposition was sweet; her bearing like creamy pearls.

"Ate a lot. This morning I had a bowl of porridge and four crystal steam buns." Lam Can Dung took the initiative and reported how much she ate.

In her heart, she felt the sweetness and peace between sisters. She stared at that white and youthful face of Lam Can Am and felt that she couldn't look enough. In her previous life, she didn't know, but she was given another chance. She understood how precious and rare this love and relations.h.i.+p was.

"Really? That's good." Lam Can Am had forgotten that she was just embarra.s.sed and pulled her younger sister's arm. She slowly said: "I had from Que-mama. If you have nightmares at night, just switch to my courtyard to sleep." She knew why her younger sister was scared, but with this kind of matter, she was still a maiden that had yet to marry. She couldn't find the words to speak. She could only comfort her younger sister: "If it is not our business, it is best forgotten. Mother said, in a few days, she will take us to Lotus Temple to offer incense. We can ask a master to read you some scriptures. It should help."

Lam Can Dung eyes flashed and she cutely giggled. "No matter. In these past few days, I have not had nightmares. Last night, it was probably because my hand had placed pressure on my chest."

How would she dare to sleep with Lam Can Am? If Lam Can Dung spoke in her sleep, what would she do if Lam Can Am heard? She had clearly died; yet, she had returned to the time when she was still young. That kind of weird occurrence, how could she explain? Who would believe it? Worst of all, what if people thought she was crazy? Inauspicious? Nightmares? Compared to the present, that was a nightmare. As time flowed, things will change for the better. If she had to work hard that one time for a more leisurely life, she just had to take care of that marriage. Once it was taken care of, she can sleep peacefully.

Lam Can Am, in an adoring manner, stroked her younger sister's head: "Good child."

Lam Can Am was only older than Lam Can Dung by a few years, but her words and actions were like an old madam. The servants giggled at the sight. Lam Can Dung didn't feel impatient; contrarily, her eyes tingled with warmth.

"Ah Dung had already arrived?" Dao thi voice sounded like needles clas.h.i.+ng; her body glowed with health. She walked steadily out of the room, seemingly in a very good mood.

"I will visit grandmother first." Lam Can Am was once again embarra.s.sed. She turned towards Lam Can Dung and tugged her sleeve slightly before departing.

Lam Can Dung loudly replied and stepped into the room. Secretly, she sent a smile to Ngo thi, sitting to the left, and performed the ceremonial greeting. "Wis.h.i.+ng aunt good fortune."

She regarded Ngo thi for a moment. Ngo thi was dressed neatly and cleanly. Her dress was a jade green, the sleeves golden yellow. The skirt was s.p.a.cious and long. Her head was adorned with a precious crown. Unfortunately, her skin was a sallow yellow and her eyes were rimmed in black. Lam Can Dung sighed in her heart. This illness will her aunt.

Ngo thi laughed and helped Lam Can Dung up. She observed the girl from left to right and sighed: "Haven't met for half a year, you have grown much taller. It is comparable to the Third little girl from my house. How did younger sister raise her?" The second half of her statement was aimed at Dao thi sitting on the side.

There was a happen occasion in the house even Dao thi was dressed up. Her dress was a silvery white, sleeves were blue, lapels were colorful, and her pleated skirt was a sandy brown. Her hair was done up in a bun. Though she was already thirty-five, her beauty was enough to move the heart. She huffed and said: "Sister-in-law is making fun of me." She gently frowned and indignantly said: "Sis should understand how virtuous my family is! My girl had been scared to such a state; yet, he just ignores it! Not seeking justice for me! If the children didn't understand, how would it look? If not being outright bullied, yet still suffer in silence? She had just spoken and a torrent of words and emotions spilled out as if she wanted to present all the wrong she had suffered through the years to Ngo thi.

The Dao family was wealthy and Dao thi was not only the daughter, but she was the only female of the younger generation in the manor. She was beautiful and talented. She was good at everything: sewing and embroidery, zither, Go, painting, and poetry. Everyone adored her. Her sister-in-law was generous and kind. At that time, she led a very carefree and comfortable life. But because of this, the people in the family did not file away her stubborn personality. She became someone who couldn't lower their head with a fierce temper. She had been married for many years and her temper had been curbed a lot, but her nature could not be changed. She straightforwardly expressed when she hated and when she loved. She didn't understand how to flex and bend to win people over. Didn't understand that there are times to lower the head. In front of her intimates, she didn't understand that family conflicts and affairs should not be spread. Speaking freely in front of her maternal family. If it fell into the family of her husband, she had provoked more trouble.

Though the two families already have a marriage, Lam Can Am will marry into the Dao Family in the future. This kind of ugly thing should not be told to the future in-laws. Lam Can Dung was afraid of losing face and afraid of others hearing. She giggled and hugged Dao thi's arm. She interrupted Dao thi: "Mother, this morning, Second Aunt came and gave me a jade to wear for comfort."

Dao thi raised her eyebrows, scornfully said: "The stuff she sent, how could it be valuable?" This La thi relied on the fact that she was the Old Madam's niece, made the poor laugh at the rich. Her personality was not only cheap but also vicious. It was just so happened that she had hit the nail on the head. It was just a pair of ordinary jades to wear on the skirt.

Ngo thi glanced around and held her breath for calmness. Eyes looked to the nose. The nose looked to the heart. The mama covered her mouth with a handkerchief as she lightly cough. The younger sister of her husband and her held a close relations.h.i.+p. Liking to share troubles was a good thing. But if it were spread outside, it would not be good for everyone. Even if the maternal family wanted to interfere, they could not interfere with matters between spouses. Bad things spread far. The husband will be uncomfortable. Moreover, the people of the Lam family were not nice or gentle.

Dao thi was not stupid, but her personality had this flaw. Especially, she could not endure when she was angry. She calmed and whispered to Ngo thi: "If Ah Dung  is not troubled, that's good." She stroked Lam Can Dung's silky black hair. Letting out a sigh, she kissed her daughter's forehead. "This child of mine had just awakened from sickness and she has matured quite a bit. Everyone says that when your child is sick they will revert back to when they were a baby — whining and crying. But, she was different."

Lam Can Dung had really returned to a time when she was still a daughter. She felt a bit uncomfortable and stood to lean against Dao thi. She laughed and asked Ngo thi: "Where are Eldest Cousin and Third Sister?"

"Eldest Cousin is older now; it is not appropriate for him to come and go within the inner compound. He is standing outside to speak to your father. Third Sister caught a cold so I didn't bring her." Ngo thi said.

Next year, Dao Phuong Duong and Lam Can Am will be getting married. Naturally, there should be some avoidance.

"Madam, Seventh Young Master had just awakened and wants to eat." The Lady's Maid, Xian Nha, who Dao thi extremely trusted came forth with Lam Than Chi. She laughed and said to Lam Than Chi: "Come and greet Cuu Madam."

Lam Than Chi adorably smiled. He saluted a greeting to Ngo thi: "Such a jade-like child: smart and clever." Ngo thi laughed, turned her body, and quickly hugged the boy. Since she was a sick person, it wasn't good for her to linger.

Lam Than Chi smiled at the praise and danced happily towards Dao thi. He sat in Dao thi's arms as he ate the pastries on the table. Dao thi looked sadly at her boy naively eating the food with no worries. He only knew how to eat and play. She sighed: "Look at how small he is. Doesn't understand anything. But within the blink of an eye, he welcomed another wife and had kids."

Dao thi instinctively covered her stomach. Who could she blame? It is not as if her in-laws had not given her a chance, not wanting her to be outdone. She had married in for such a long time and only had the sisters Lam Can Am and Lam Can Dung. Though eventually, she had little Seventh as heir, he was only one tree. If she could have another son, that would be better.

The child of the other woman is older; the heir is still young and his temperament is as such. He wasn't liked his grandparents or her husband. It had been a while since he has come. Day by day. Time flies. Ngo thi didn't know what to say and can only comfort Dao thi: "Little Seventh is five years old, but he is already so smart and clever. He won't lose to anyone in the future. What is his, no one will be able to take. Moreover, he had two sisters to help him." There was more she wanted to say, but in front of the child, it was a bit awkward. Though that Hoang concubine is favored, but a concubine is a concubine. Regardless, she could not surpa.s.s Dao thi. Otherwise, though Dao thi was not liked, wasn't her position as Third Madam was very firm? In regards to the Third House, power is something that we individually know.

Speaking of the two girls, beautiful and feminine, Dao thi smiled. Remembering something, her face became ugly. She asked Lam Can Dung: "Where did you just come from?"

Lam Can Dung's heart stuttered. She had sent someone to inform Dao thi of the events in the garden. She wasn't afraid of Dao thi. She was afraid that once her temper flared, it would be hard to control. For no reason, making others point and joke. But the matters of today, since she has decided, she will follow through to the end!
