Volume 2 - Chapter 22: The Dangers of Teasing 3

 A few more days later.

"Is it true that no matter where, no matter who, and no matter what, guys never suspect their own popularity?"

The president uttered an ominous phrase.

A few days earlier, Kyouya had teased the president and received a terrible teasing in revenge.

Kyouya thought that that would be the end of it, but it seems he was too naive.

It looks like the president had still not forgiven him.

"Um... please give me a break. I'm really sorry for what I did. I promise not to do it again."

Kyouya said to the president.

The president slid her chair with a clatter, taking up a position right next to Kyouya.

"Do what?"

"Like I said, the thing from before. Prez, didn't you just say it?"

"Ehh? All I said was 'good job as always'."

"Huh?"

Kyouya tilted his head.

But just now, didn't she—

"You're really a huge help, having a guy around is super useful. Look, everyone else here is a girl."

The president paused here to look around the room at all the other girls. Megumi-chan, s.h.i.+on-san, and Kirara-san. Other than Kyouya, the GJ-Bu had only female members.

"Not at all. I haven't done anything. I haven't really helped with anything."

Coming to the clubroom everyday to chat with everyone, reading manga and light novels, and drinking the black tea Megumi-chan brewed was all Kyouya had ever done.

"Nonono, it's completely different having you around."

"That's right. It's not good to be too humble."

s.h.i.+on-san joined the conversation.

"Humility may be seen as a virtue in j.a.pan, but that's not the case in many western countries. In fact, there are some countries that look badly upon humility."

"Look, even s.h.i.+ says so. Be more confident in yourself."

"M-maybe you're right."

"Come on, Megu. Don't just stand around. Come give Kyoro a shoulder ma.s.sage."

"Ah, yes."

Megumi-chan stood behind Kyouya as instructed and began ma.s.saging his shoulders gently. Kyouya stood still and enjoyed the sensation, and occasionally, he could almost feel Megumi-chan's needlessly large chest brush against him.

"Hey, Kirara. Get over here, go ahead and give him a good sniff."

Kirara looked over with the meat she was nibbling on still in her hands.

As soon as the president gave the word, Kirara put down her meat and stood up. As she licked the oil off of her fingers, she wrapped her arm around Kyouya's head with a practiced motion.

Sniff sniff, sniff sniff. Kirara continued smelling the scent of Kyouya's hair.

"Ahh, I can't ma.s.sage his shoulders like this."

Megumi-chan said with a sweet voice.

"That's unfair. You two are monopolising Kyoro-kun for yourselves!"

"Make that three!"

The president pressed her back up against Kyouya.

"Then let's make that four."

Even s.h.i.+on-san joined in beside Kyouya.

The cool beauty that was s.h.i.+on-san didn't offer any direct skins.h.i.+p, but she dragged her chair close enough for Kyouya to feel her body heat.

Kyouya was sandwiched between s.h.i.+on-san and the president on either side, with Kirara around his neck and Megumi-chan behind his shoulders.

Wow, wow, wow!

Kyouya was almost panicking.

He couldn't understand why he had suddenly become so popular.

But this wasn't so bad, his charm and charisma was being recognized at last. He was the only one that the president would bite. He was s.h.i.+on-san's common sense knight, and Kirara-san seemed to like him as well. Kyouya wasn't arrogant enough to think Megumi-chan treated him as someone special, but at the very least, she didn't seem to dislike him.

He had finally been recognized for all of his efforts.

This could be his chance. Has the legendary "popular period" come for him at last?

"Is it true that no matter where, no matter who, and no matter what, guys never suspect their own popularity?"

Said the president.

"For example, would they not suspect anything about their popularity even when they've just been deceived?"

The president continued.

Her gaze was as cold as ice.

"Ahh. This is too cruel."

A special time that comes once in a lifetime no matter who you are
