It Is A Different World And Yet I Cultivate Monsters

First of all, let’s have a talk about how I arrive here. It’s something that happened about a month before now.

“AhーIt’s coolingー”

On that day, I was just relaxing as usual in the room that’s cooled by the intense aircon.

Because it’s summer season, it’s a sunlight h.e.l.l that just by going outside, I’ll be covered in sweat.

I can’t even imagine doing anything under this blazing sun.

I who is a university student, am living alone in the dorm near the school.

“But recently, there are various kinds in the moe category huhー. Not just the Sengoku generals, finally, even the plants’ field guide have moe¹ ill.u.s.trations huh”

What I’m reading now is the Moe Field Guide series’ new work that went on sale recently, Moe Plants Field Guide.

Transforming all the plants in the world into moe characters, what kind of ecology or what kind of cultivation method to raise them are explained in details.

By the way, the breakdown or explanations are done precisely in spite of the cute ill.u.s.trations, furthermore, even the methods to make the spices and likes that use them are written so I unexpectedly can’t make light of it.

Just like this, the time pa.s.ses as I flip through the book.

‘Pinpoーn’

“Nn?”

Suddenly, the bell from the entranceway rang.

“Excuse me, it’s postal deliveryー. Can you open the doorー?”

Postal? Now, did I order something?

It has been excessively hot around here recently so I don’t even have the motivation to go out. Because of that, the majority of my things makes use of Amezon²s delivery service.

This moe field guide naturally, cup ramen and other food supplies are also settled with delivery service.

The・Delivery culture is the best.

Well, that’s that but I don’t remember ordering anything else?

Thinking about that, I ask for the name of the sender from the postman on the other side of the door and,

“Erm, it writes Himuro Keiji-sanー”

Ahー, I see. I get it.

Somehow it seems like the sender is Oyaji³.

There are some circ.u.mstances in my family so there are only Oyaji and me in our family home.

Even if I say that, Oyaji is always on a trip to somewhere, he’s almost never at home. He’s a mysterious parent who gives me ambiguous reply even when I ask him where he’s going.

That being said, he occasionally sends supplies so I’m grateful to him for that. Though only if I exclude the time when I was young and he uses freedom education as an excuse to abandon me in the kindergarten. Well, putting that aside, it’s the arrival of the supplies. I’ll gratefully accept it.

As I think about that, the moment I opened the door, I got wrapped in a bright light that’s different from that of the sun. When I open my eyes, over there isーーa different world.

“What?”

My mind froze from the excessively sudden development.

Oou, what is this. I opened the door and before my eyes is a different world.

Suprise. Explanation please.

It’s not the time to be saying such jokes.

I shake my head hard once, rub both my eyes and then look at the scenery before my eyes again.

Over there is a place that looks like a vast gra.s.sland that’s unthinkable to be j.a.pan.

It’s a horizon as far as the eyes can see.

A gigantic mountain that I have never seen before can be seen faintly from far away, looking to the sides, there are gigantic forests spreading across.

Then, the deciding point is the door that disappeared before I know it and, the town that’s visible behind me.

There were ma.s.ses of buildings that are obviously different from j.a.pan.

I thought about whether this might not be a different world but instead a different country but, there’s two evidence that that isn’t the case.

First, I look up at the sky and even though it’s noon, I can see three moons. I can also see several planets that I’ve never seen before.

This is obviously, a sight that isn’t visible on Earth.

Secondly, there’s a living thing that I’ve never seen before strutting about in the gra.s.slands before my eyes.

What is it, this thing that looks like the kiwi on Earth.

Not the fruit kiwi, the kiwi bird that’s in New Zealand.

Obviously, this isn’t Earth.

When I’m calmly a.n.a.lyzing the situation, I suddenly realize that I’m holding onto something.

It’s the moe field guide that I have been reading until just now.

AhーI see. I went opening the front door while holding it.

Umu. Well, it’ll probably be of some kind of help so, let’s bring it along with me.

At any rate, this is that. The possibility of ‘transporting to a different world’ that’s popular now is high.

But still, isn’t it too sudden. Rather, why me?

Normally, a person with a Hero’s disposition is chosen and sent.

I totally can’t think that I have any disposition as a Hero. Rather, why did I transport to a different world when I open the door to receive a package.

This, if somebody had transported me then it’s definitely a miss……

I am thinking as I growl anguishedly and, perhaps the kiwi-looking monster that was walking in front until just now has noticed me, it turned around and, our eyes met.

Ah, h.e.l.lo. Nice to meet you, my name is Himuro=Kyouji.

While I was making that stupid introduction in my head, the kiwi-looking monster thrust towards me with amazing vigour.

“tteOOOOOOOOI”

That beak feels like it can definitely stab somebody! I mean, it was intending to stab me, right!?

Readily retiring right after coming to a different world is a little that so, for the time being, I escaped with full speed.
