In the morning two days after the fight with Klein, a scream of agony came from a decently furnished room near the home of the sect master.

In a room with a desk, animal skin carpet, a small library, and one table; Will sat up after letting out a scream of agony, his face pale as he looked at the seared flesh that was still slowly disappearing.

"I am happy that you are finally awake! Though I am upset that you got hurt in the first place!"

"Can you be quiet? My body hurts and your voice is making it worse"

"Ungrateful! If it wasn't for me father would have took care of you already! He almost believed the lies Klein kept spreading!"

Will winced as he turned in Cecily's direction, shocked to see her eyes swollen and red. Will felt concern as he wondered why she would have started crying.

"Well, you have my thanks. Whom made you cry if I may ask?"

"He's in this room!"

"Where? It's only us two?"

"Indeed"

"I don't understand"

Will looked back and forth in confusion, there was nowhere in the room one could hide, and there were no other presences in the room besides theirs.

In fact, he felt a chilling glare coming from the other side of the room when he looked around and quickly turned to catch the unknown individual Cecily mentioned by surprise, only to see Cecily sitting on a stool next to his bed.

I wonder where that chilling glare came from? No one is behind Cecily..

Cecily looked at Will as she gave him a strange smile "My father is outside the door by the way. You can come in now!"

"Your fath-"

Bang!

"So this is the Will you have been talking about since you came back!?"

"That's not how you open doors!"

Right before Will could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a middle aged man as he kicked down the door and spoke to him, followed by Cecily yelling about him not opening the door properly.

Will was lost in thought as he stared at the middle aged man, his red hair and red eyes were like crimson red jewels as they sparkled in the light, making one feel as if he would combust at any moment.

"I am Klaus, Cecily's father."

"I'm Will"

Klaus looked at Will with a grin as he reached out a hand while introducing himself, snapping out of his wandering mental state they shook hands.

Without trying to be noticed Will glanced between the two of them and looked at their different hair colors with a confused look.

The father with hair that looked like he had flames spewing from his head, and the daughter that looked like she had hair made out of ice and snow.

A huge difference between the flaming hair and the icy silver hair.

Although he tried not to be noticed, Cecily noticed the glance and laughed gently.

"I got my hair from my mother, actually, me and my brother got our hair from our mother. The eyes and personality traits are all from our dad. My brother got father's violence hungry side of his personality, and I inherited his more calm side of his personality"

"So it is"

"You're an interesting boy, you know? I thank you for watching my daughter all this time, she is quiet a troublemaker in my book"

"She was well behaved the whole time, besides the time we first met"

"Interesting.."

Cecily explained the red and silver hair difference when she noticed Will's curious look. Klaus grinned at Will, expressing his interest in him as he gave a scheming look at the two of them. He thanked Will for watching his daughter while mentioning how she is a trouble maker. Upon mentioning how she was calm and well behaved the whole time except when they met, Klaus grinned at the two of them as an audible sound of gears moving could be hear from his head.

I can hear him thinking...

"Well I have to go, I am a busy man after all. Nice meeting you"

"Bye?"

"See you later father!"

Cecily laughed gently as her father left in a hurry, her eyes took a serious light as she stood up from her stool.

"Father said he would deal with Klein and that he is sorry for the injuries that Klein has gave you."

"Why didn't he say that personally?"

"That's just how he is"

Will looked deeply at Cecily as she stood next to him, her dark robes fluttered gently in the breeze coming through the window. He looked at her slightly red and swollen eyes as he finally realized the reason she was crying. A warm current flowed slightly in his heart as he felt her concern.

Initially it was "I need your help, and I need resources" but now I can tell that we have developed a genuine connection.

"Hey, there is no reason to worry, or blame yourself. I was injured because I am not strong enough, and that's the only reason"

Will spoke in an attempt to calm her and let her know that none of this was her fault, the words he spoke were his true feelings.

Hearing what he said Cecily's body shook as her eyes started to water slightly as she made an attempt to speak.

"I know what you want to say, you want to say I am not weak. Maybe that is the case, maybe I am actually very strong, but the injuries I have gained from the encounter with your brother proves the saying "There are mountains beyond mountains and heavens beyond heavens" Cecily, I know you feel as if it is your fault that your brother has caused me such injuries, it isn't. I know compared to anyone else at my level I am very strong, h.e.l.l, invincible to be honest, but compared to the world as a whole, I am nothing but an ant being tossed around in an ocean. So be at ease, I can only get stronger from here, this defeat is nothing more than pa.s.sing clouds in my life, it will only serve to make me work harder to prevent such a thing from happening once again, and to better protect the ones I care about. Besides, I need to fight against the heavens, so I need to grow stronger anyways."

"You may leave now, I need to rest"

After saying the words that came from the bottom of his heart, Will waved Cecily out of the room. Normally she would glare at him from shooing her out like one would shoo a misbehaving pet, but this time she could only feel reluctance as she looked at the still scarred and pale faced Will laying down on the bed recovering.

In her heart she could feel a dull throbbing pain at the sight before her, a feeling that she has never felt before.

Leaving the room she clenched her fists to the point that blood started dripping out of them as a burning rage added on to the previous rage she possessed towards her brother.

Soon it will be your blood being spilled!

In the blink of an eye, three days pa.s.sed. In these three days, Will practiced potion making in his mental s.p.a.ce and figured out a plethora of new "Mental programs" he could use to make different potions.

He started to gain a deeper understanding of his ability after those three days of practice, he practiced many times before but didn't gain these results.

Maybe my experience increased enough and I am able to notice even deeper and more profound truths towards my ability? Either way, if I set conditions and attributes and other information beforehand in my mind similar to "Programming", I can make a potion instantly. If I have any physical ingredients to use it's only a matter of tweaking the "code" to use the ingredient.

The mental energy I consume while potion making also decreases rapidly if I make little "programs" for my ability.

"I should maybe explore my mental s.p.a.ce in the future.. d.a.m.n, I went from thinking in my head to thinking out loud, I am glad no one is around otherwise they would think I am crazy"

Will got out of the bed as he winced slightly, all his external injuries have long vanished and made a complete recovery. The wincing was due to some still existing internal injuries that wouldn't hinder his strength in the long run, instead the little damage caused by irritating his injuries caused him to feel a burst of energy.

It's good that I still hate pain like any sane person, otherwise I would have to be concerned about being a m.a.s.o.c.h.i.s.t, that would be bad, very bad.

"Young master, master has invited you to dinner tonight, he'd appreciate it if you come"

Young master? That's weird, why does this maid call me as such? Well I am hungry, so why not? I can also check on Cecily, I haven't seen her for three days.

"Tell him I'll arrive"
