Searching For You 149 Been Captured

One late evening, Mua Kong was inside his tent at one of their military bases at the northern border. As he was looking at the war strategic simulation someone knocked on the door. Mua Kong looked up and answered, "Speak."

A man in armors walked in and bowed before him, "Prince, one of our spy we sent to find information on Her Highness in the Northern Country has been captured."

Mua Kong shouted, "Useless!"

The man bowed down lower and trembled, "My apology Prince! We deserve punishment!"

The men Mua Kong usually sent to infiltrate are experts of their field so whoever noticed his spy must be one formidable enemy.

"Prince, they request for an audience tomorrow afternoon." The man added.

Mua Kong signaled for the man to leave. The current King of the Northern Kingdom must not be one to take lightly. To cultivate intelligent men and have them work for you, one must be a someone worthy to be served and respect by others. So, to have been noticed by one of the Northern Kingdom's men, the King must be extremely intelligent and talented. He who was once a Prince overthrow his uncle and became King. His country has since flourished as well and rumors of his kindness spread throughout the country. He gained favors of the people in just the first few years he took over the throne.

Prince Mua Kong touched the areas between his brows and sighed. He worried about Hli Ja, what if he could never find her again, how is he going to face his son and Pao Hua? He already wasted one whole year without any leads, now his spy has been captured. It'll be even harder now to send spies to infiltrate the Northern Country. Now that they have been alerted by his movement, they will strengthen their security which will make it hard for Mua Kong.

He walked out of his tent and went to find a secluded area to sit. As he stares into the distant, he unconsciously muttered out, "Hli Ja, are you very angry at me? Is that why you refused to appear before me? How can I amend the wrongs I did to you when you refused to show up to me? Do you know I've been searching for you for a long time? Do you know our son and I miss you very much? I'm running out of reasons to keep our son's spirit up. One day he'll know the truth and hate me."

Mua Kong spent the night staring at the big full moon that seems close yet so far out of reach. Mua Kong kept staring at the full moon and eventually dozed off to sleep.

The next morning, he woke up to a blanket covering him. He was still in the same spot where he was talking to himself the night before. He a.s.sumed Yee Len probably brought the blanket for him. Mua Kong got up from his spot and went back to the base.

When he got inside to his tent, Yee Len was already inside with freshly made food. He exclaimed, "My Lord, have some food first and I'll go over the day for you."

"Mm… Go head." Mua Kong replied as he sat on the table and eat his morning meal.

"Reports from Commander Vun in south base, we finally took over and secured the northeast province of Southern Kingdom. The Southern troops retreat for the time being. And… as you heard, our spy we sent to find her highness has been captured. Their commander is requesting an audience this afternoon."

Mua Kong thought, should he just come clean with them and tell them he's looking for his wife and that was why he sent spy to infiltrate the Northern Country. She indeed had disappeared after setting foot into their country.
