{Chapter Edited by Chinthani}

“Master…” The disciple tightly gripped YunGe's slightly cold hand. The corners of her eyes gradually turned red.

YunGe couldn't bear to look at her disciple like this. She was always like a gust of wind das.h.i.+ng here and there, being lively and cute. It was very rare for YunGe to see her disciple with an expression like this. It seemed that this friend of hers really was important.

“Don't worry. Disciple is so well-behaved. You will have even more friends in the future.” Given that Lin Lin was Huan Mo's only companion, it's not likely that she will soon return to being lively and cute. Her disciple had grown up to be fair-skinned and delicate, provoking one's love.

“Master… I want to go back and avenge Lin Lin. I want to get stronger…” Huan Mo's voice wasn't that loud, but her resolution made up for it.

YunGe looked at Huan Mo's resolute eyes and sighed. In the end, she could only reply “Ok.”

What YunGe actually wanted to say was that there were so many Level 3 Ice spiritual beasts. How would she find the one that injured Lin Lin? YunGe also wanted to say that even if Huan m.o.f.ound it, how could she exact revenge when she couldn't even draw in qi. YunGe also wanted to tell her how much suffering she would have to face. YunGe could not bear to let her disciple suffer hards.h.i.+ps at such a young age…

However, she could not utter even one of those sentences after seeing Huan Mo's expression.

“Master, in the future, I will also protect you.” Huan Mo quietly whispered.

YunGe heard this and her heart shook, her hand tightening. Her disciple was incomparably pure and innocent.

For the time being, YunGe ceased her closed door cultivation because of the promise she made with her disciple. Or rather, to begin improving her disciple's combat experience. It was important for her disciple to understand the characteristics of every spiritual beast.

The disciples of Yunfu school were astonished. They knew that their Senior Martial Sister could crush them with her talent and cultivation base. They didn't expect her to start bringing her disciple out of Yunfu everyday.

Quite a few disciples guessed Senior Sister brought her disciple out to relieve her boredom. There were also disciples who guessed that her purpose was to search for magic treasures to help her disciple draw in qi.

Regardless of what kind of guess, only one conclusion was reached in the end. This good-for-nothing Martial Niece was simply a stain on Senior Sister who was a perfect G.o.d-like figure waiting above the heavens, keeping all in equilibrium!

If not for this good-for-nothing Martial Niece, Senior Sister would have been in her cave in seclusion, effortlessly breaking through Core Formation. If Senior Sister really formed her core, then Yunfu school would be bathed in honor and glory. But this Marital Niece had arrived to ruin this opportunity.

Obviously, they dared not boldly say these words out loud, so they resorted to speaking about it behind their backs.

YunGe did not know, for she was bringing her disciple everywhere for a stroll… Ok, ok. Have no choice but to say that those Junior Sisters and Brothers were indeed correct.

YunGe brought her disciple along for a walk while beating up small spiritual beasts along the way. She also inquired others about anything that could make her disciple cultivate anew.

Besides her disciple becoming more clingy, there were no major changes.

“Master, why do we have to go to that weird uncle's place?” Huan Mo looked at YunGe with a confused look, her entire body wrapped in the fluffy cape, looking all the more loveable.

The weird uncle that she was referring to was the cultivation world's Bai ShuSheng. This person did not have much of a cultivation base, but what earned him his status was the information in his hands.

YunGe rubbed her disciple's head. “Don't talk like that when we get there.” She found that her disciple hadn't grown much taller.

Over the past year, YunGe had carefully raised her disciple well. Compared to a year ago, apart from developing a bit more meat and fairer skin, Huan Mo hadn't grown much in height. YunGe was planning to ask Bai ShuSheng about this later.

“Here again??” Bai ShuSheng's name didn't match his personality. He responded with few words. When he lacked something, he liked to rely on his name. The man in front of them was outstanding. He was no feast for the eyes with his tough and stocky build, but he had established an information network that practically covered the entire cultivation world.  How he managed to achieve this, no was knew.

(TN- Bai ShuSheng literally translates to “Hundred intellectual/scholar”)

“No ‘welcome'?” YunGe raised an eyebrow.

Bai ShuSheng s.h.i.+fted his line of sight, internally cursing his lack of concentration. “In the past, you've barely even visited, no matter how many written invitations I've sent to you. But now you are visiting me every day. YunGe, are you sure this little girl isn't your daughter?”

YunGe had once saved his life when he was in a dire situation, so their relations.h.i.+p was pretty good. Bai ShuSheng knows of YunGe's nature, thus he joked around.

YunGe lifted up her disciple. “On the contrary, I wish my disciple were my daughter. It's a pity that a 19 year old me can't have given birth to a 7 year old daughter.”

“…” Bai ShuSheng glanced at her: her features  were refined and matchless. Alright, he had just long forgotten that this person was only 19 years old.

YunGe wore a white cultivator's robe. The white cloth wrapped around her fine, well-proportioned figure. The ribbon tightly bound against her waist enhanced her graceful and slim appearance. Because she was carrying her disciple, the light muslin cuffs swayed. It also exposed a section of her fair-skinned arms, her wrists equally white. The former cold and impa.s.sable aura completely disappeared, the cause being the person she carried in her arms. All that was left was a gentle beauty that made people unable to look directly at.

Huan Mo definitely did not miss the stunned and infatuated look in his eyes. She tightly grasped the lapel of her master's robes. Her intention to obliterate briefly reflected in her eyes.

Bai ShuSheng felt a cold chill on his back and he snapped out of it. “The things you want are just rumors told by others, not stuff that actually happened.” Bai ShuSheng was telling the truth. He had always known that YunGe was not what she appeared to be.

“However, I did receive a piece of information: there's a type of cultivation method that doesn't  require drawing in qi. Can cultivate, but not like a cultivator. Rather, one can just strengthen the body using it. Even though one will not be comparable to a cultivator, at least they won't get bullied by mortals.” Bai ShuSheng thought in his heart: no matter how much YunGe liked this disciple, she would still have to return her to the mortal realm in the end. After all, ordinary people, who can't draw in qi, could live 100 years at most…

“What is it?” YunGe has never heard of this before.

“Sword cultivation.” Bai ShuSheng simply explained for a moment about what it was.

YunGe understood: the difference between a sword cultivator and a cultivator is similar to the difference between a Wuxia novel and Qihuan novel.

(TN- Qihuan is fantasy, Wuxia is martial arts)

“There should be a manual in Yunfu school.” Bai ShuSheng finally stated. He felt that this disciple had left a good impression; very cute and sensible. Although she seemed a bit clingy, this little girl exuded a clean and snuggly feeling.
