“Don’t worry about it. Even if all the ladies in the world perished I still wouldn’t look at you.” Jier’s disdain for his playboy roommate was obvious.

A knock at the door interrupted Lu Fei before he could come up with a comeback. Jier opened the door. Standing in the hallway was a pudgy girl with freckles, small eyes, and a big mouth. She was not a looker by any stretch of the imagination. From the way she dressed, Jier guessed she was a freshman magician.

“What is it?” Odds were high she was there for the Lu Fei. Girls had been coming by to deliver letters and sweets since school started. Sometimes they even tried to arrange a meeting or a date. The same thing happened every day. Lu Fei was incredibly pleased with it and loved to brag, so much so that others in the dorm wanted to punch him.

“Jier, please accept my feelings!” Her face was beet red. She held a letter out to him as she fidgeted from one foot to the other, left and right. It was a letter she had amended dozens of times.

Jier reflexively wanted to refuse, but he bit down on the urge and grabbed the letter when he remembered Feng Wu was waiting for him. The envelope was rough and scratched up.

His admirer didn’t care about it. She was stunned Jier accepted her letter. (He accepted my letter. He accepted my letter,) kept looping through her mind. She was overjoyed.

Jier closed the door on her after getting the love letter he wanted. The girl stared in daze at the door from the other side.

“Wait! What?! You accepted a love letter? That’s the kind of chic you’re into?!” Jier received nearly as many love letters as he did. In fact, the number of confessions the two received was the same at the beginning. It changed as word of Jier’s graceless and blunt refusal to each confession got around school.

This ruthless heartbreaker was, unexpectedly, a chubby chaser! Lu Fei was utterly gob smacked! He must have woken up wrong and was hallucinating, otherwise how could such a scene be possible?

“Whatever.” Jier grunted as he plopped down on the sofa ignoring Lu Fei’s question. If anyone had told him he would accept a love letter from a girl just so he could learn to write one, he would have kicked that person to death.

My Dear Cla.s.smate Jier:

You lit my world like a firecracker when we first met. That day you appeared like a G.o.d in front of the boys who were making fun of me. You stepped in and with a single wave of your hand made them crumble to the ground.

You’re different from those other boys. Instead of making fun of me, you stood up for me. (I only shot the fireball at them because they were in my way.) You look beyond the surface, (misunderstanding) and that makes you a real man. (Yeah OK.)

Since then, every time I see you, I’ve wanted to run into your arms. I’ve wanted to date you, to kiss you. I fantasize about you all the time; about the dates we’d go on. They’re beautiful. (f.u.c.k, I’m gonna to barf.) I want to throw you down and ravage you every time I think about them. (...)

I love you now and I’ll love you forever. I won’t stop until the day the heavens fall. No one in this world loves you more than I do. Please accept my feelings.

With love,

Wei Na.

Jier had a strong overpowering urge to beat this Wei Na to a pulp. His eyes were twitching, but he held himself back. Instead he burned the offensive letter that nearly made him puke in his own mouth.

After it burnt to a crisp ember, Jier got up and walked out.

It was only then that Lu Fei came back to his senses. (Wait, so does this guy like her? Did he leave to set up a date with her?!)

It was a good thing Jier didn’t know his roommate’s thoughts, otherwise he would have given him a taste of his fireball.

Feng Wu had been waiting on the bench the entire time. She brightened when she saw him run over.

“Did you get it?” Feng Wu’s eyes were sparkling so brightly that Jier had a hard time looking at her.

“OK so to write a love letter, first you have to put the person’s name. Then write about how you first met. Then the reason you like him. Then the reason for the love letter. Then at the end you sign your name. Got it?” Jier had a bland look on his face as he recited the format.

It was a complete copy of Wei Na’s letter.

This guy, did he really believe this was the format for every love letter?

The next morning Ink walked into the cla.s.sroom to find Feng Wu already seated at her desk writing something. Being curious he walked over. “Xiao Wu, what are you writing? Did the teacher give us homework yesterday?” Ink thought back to yesterday trying to remember if he’d forgotten to write down an a.s.signment.

“No, not homework. I’m writing a love letter.” Feng Wu answered both questions without hesitation.

At the mention of love letters, the chatter around them ceased and every ear in the room perked up. They were all curious who the letter was for.

(Girl, how are you going to talk about something like that so loudly.) He[notes] had been surrept.i.tiously glancing over at the letter the entire time. He gave those eavesdropping a fierce glare after he heard her reply.

“Oh, then you should take your time to write it well.” It was wrong to sneak a peek at a girl’s love letter, so even though he was really curious, he stopped looking. He walked away slightly disappointed in not knowing the contents.

Later that afternoon Ink invited Feng Wu to eat with him in the cafeteria. In fact he’d invited her because he was curious about the love letter. Was it someone in their cla.s.s? Was it someone he knew? He was dying to find out!

The two sat down at a table together after getting their meal. He was only a third of the way through his dishes when he realized Feng Wu was finished with hers. Her speed was shocking! More shocking however was the amount of food she gobbled! Ink was left wondering if she was really a girl and not in fact a guy in disguise.

Feng Wu waited quietly for him[notes] to finish eating. As she waited, two heavenly looking guys entered the cafeteria.

One was a sweet-faced, golden haired, blue-eyed boy. He was radiant and warm like the moon. While he gave off a welcoming, approachable feeling, his companion exuded a restrained, indifferent aura. His was an untouchable kind of beauty with wavy silvery hair that matched his deep-set silver eyes. With such an appearance, he was just as unforgettable as his golden-haired companion.
