Many thanks to H.V.-san. I felt that I shouldn’t let you down after your great support… So I pushed myself to work on this.. Will work on this over a span of few days once to finish the quota.

The girl chained onto the pillar.

"Please… Help me…"

A weeping voice alike to a shriek.

Kai was unable to even speak out a word to reply her frantic call for help. For he had lost the words to speak.

….This girl…

…She's not human. What (race) is she!?

There were wings on the girl's back. The root of the pair of wings is jet black like the feathers of a crow, but following the feathers to the end of the wings, it turns pale white like snow. A gradation of black and white.

Demon? Or maybe a mythical beast? Or is she an angel?

"A mix of angel and demon…"

A fallen angel? There shouldn't be such a kind. But the girl's wings suggested a mixture of angel's and demon's blood.

"——-"

*clink clink

The sound of the chains binding the girl brought Kai back to his senses.

"Who….are you…?"

Since there was no reply, she inferred that her voice could not be heard. The girl then once again frantically called out with a voice which may dissipate any moment from her lips.

"Who.. you say.." With a parched voice, Kai replied with all he could.

That's my question here. What exactly are you. Why are you here in this place and trapped in such a horrible way.

"…Rinne"

"Rinne? Is that your name?"

"….." the girl then nodded.

"Please… help me.."

"H-hey!?" Before being able to finish my sentence, the girl hanged her head and fell unconscious.

….But, even if you save to help you. Am I supposed to free you from the bindings of these chains?

…Is that something you ask from a human? **(he's asking like this since humans are considered the weakest of the 5 main races)

There's even a risk that you would attack me the moment I come near you. There is such a possibility that this is a trap.

But, the time Kai hesitated was only for a few second.

"…..Fine, I understand"

During the encounter with the Demon at the 9^th terminal, a pressure which made my gooseb.u.mps came out could be felt. But there is no ill intent coming from this girl. Moreover, this is the only clue I have in this eerie s.p.a.ce. I might be able to find out about this s.p.a.ce.

"But don't you dare suddenly attack me after I helped you"

Looking up to the girl, Kai started swinging his Drake Nail. Targeting the pillar which binded the girl, he swung with all his might

—The sound of metal clinging.

Amidst the resonation sound, Kai's eyes widened.

"So hard!? …. This chain, how st.u.r.dy is it!?"

The chain had reflected the sword. Although it's thickness was no more than a finger's size, but the impact from the Drake Nail did not even make a single scratch on it.

"Then…"

He put his finger on the trigger of the gunblade.

The moment he swung down the Drake Nail, a flare of red fireworks burst during impact with the chains.

The effect of the explosion from the Ryakus.h.i.+ki Drake bullet.

Even after being extra careful to only target the side of the chains on the pillar to not hurt the girl, after the cloud of smoke cleared up, not even a single scratch was made on the chains.

"…Are you kidding me" Even the explosive bullet which defeated a Demon was unable to scratch the chains.

A thin chain which looks as if it will break with just a human's full force to tear it away, but in truth it was so st.u.r.dy as if magic was enchanted onto it.

"If even this is impossible, what other methods are you telling me try…"

The weapon which Kai's currently has is only this gunblade. If even that does not work, then what other methods is there to break this chain?

"Hold on… Speaking of, that sound just now.." The voice heard when Kai was at the inner part of the Graveyard. A voice separate from Rinne's, an old man's voice. That voice said as so, to not let go of this sword, and the sword's name—

"Code Holder?"

Instantly, the jet black gunblade on his right hand s.h.i.+ne as bright as the dazzling sunlight.

"Hot!?…. What the?!" The Drake Nail s.h.i.+ned. The jet black blade turned translucent, the hilt and the gun parts all transformed into a shape which is precisely the same as Sid's sword which was observed in the Graveyard.

A metamorphosis reaction to its name…

The moment after the heat dissipated, within Kai's grasps is a lightly s.h.i.+ning sword.

The translucent blade, as beautiful as a s.h.i.+ning beloved jewel.

A sword it is, but it also looks like a huge sized 'key'.

The Drake Nail was unable to scratch the chain, but what about this sword owned by a hero…?

"I'm relying on you!"

He swung the Code Holder down.

—Clankk..

A resonating bell sound from the falling clump of chains. A miracle which adeptly cut away the chains binding the girl.

"……"

"H-hey!?… What's going on here? What is this place? And what are you?"

The unconscious girl fell from her position, where Kai embraced her from falling. An unexpected light body, and the softness from the touch of her skin which would instantly make one fl.u.s.ter. Kai then laid the girl down on the floor.

"This girl's ears…" Taking another closer look on the girl, he realized something.

"Elf?" The ears which could be slightly seen through her light blonde hair was sharper shaped than a human's

….Ears of an elf's. No, an elf's ears are probably longer than this, as far as the records goes.

…A balance of the mixture of an human's and elf's ears.

The ears of an elf's, cla.s.sified in the Foreign Deities' race. As well as wings which is a characteristics of the angels and demons.

"Elves and angels are the same race of Foreign Deities, wasn't it. Then maybe a half of Demons and the Foreign Deities? But this girl, unanimously looks like a human in every other way."

No doubt. This winged girl who fell is surprisingly alike to any other human girl.

A cute and lovely facial feature, blushy cheeks and small lips which brings about the charms of a young girl. Each time she breathes, the movement of her abdomen accentuates how delicate her body is, and the white based thin clothes properly accentuates the curves of her body.

If only she hides her wings, there is absolutely no mistake that she can get off as a normal human girl around 16 years of age. To top that off, a divinely lovely girl at that.

"A mix blood of human, foreign deity and demon…? No, that can't be."

There is no way such a being exists. Since there is no possibility of a child beared from different species.

But if that is so, what exactly is this girl named Rinne?

"….uh….. uu.." The girl's body pranced.

Her small shoulders s.h.i.+vered. Then gradually, her closed eyelids opened.
