The dinner table was filled with only my favorite foods. The head chef really went all out. I was filled with happiness when the chef and kitchen staff congratulated me on my birthday.

"Father, mother, everyone, today has been a wonderful birthday. Thank you so much!"

I thanked and hugged everyone.

After speaking to everyone I bid them "good night." I took El by the hand and called out to Allen and we headed towards El's room.

"El, this is your room. Can you sleep on your own? Will you be alright?"

I was anxious to leave El to sleep by himself but he just nodded, conveying through his eyes that it was "okay."

"Really? You can sleep with me tonight. No, not just tonight, we can always sleep together."

El only shakes his head, indicating that he'd like to sleep alone.

…Was I the only one feeling lonely?! I finally have a younger brother, I wanted to sleep together, but if El doesn't want to then it can't be helped.

"Alright…but! If you really do get lonely, you must come to my room. Okay?"

"Rose-sama, you do not need to worry so much, El-sama seems alright. If Rose-sama feels lonely, however, shall we sleep together instead?"

As Allen approaches me looking somewhat happy, El pulls him back by his clothes with a terrifying expression.

"…Ah, please don't make such a scary face. I won't sleep with your master."

Hm? A scary face? El is making one? …I can't see because Allen is blocking me.

"El, if you have a nightmare or feel lonely then please come to my room! You absolutely must! …Then, goodnight."

I hugged El and then left the room with Allen.

"Allen, please call Mary. I'd like to get ready for bed."

"Understood. Then, please excuse me."

"Ee, thank you for today. Please get some rest."

"Thank you very much. Goodnight."

Allen left my room. Mary arrived a short while later and prepared my pajamas.

"Then, goodnight my lady."

"Thank you Mary. Goodnight."

I slowly closed my eyes and fell into a deep sleep.

Knock knock…knock knock

"…Nn…"

Knock knock

"…? I hear something…"

…Knock knock…Knock knock

"Knocking? …Who could it be…who is it?!"

No one replied, but the knocking continued

"…Who is it?"

I opened the door a little to find El standing there.

"Ma! El! What's wrong?"

After I addressed him, El hugged me vigorously. He buried his face.

"…Perhaps, did you have a nightmare?"

Nod.

"I see, then let's hold hands and sleep together! Then we won't have any scary dreams."

El raised his eyes to look at my face and nodded.

We went to bed while holding hands and slept facing each other.
