Chapter 131 Cooking Show

Originally, Zhou Yu thought that Benben was just taciturn, and maybe this was the character of the robotic race. However, when he patted its head and complimented it, it was able to show a happy expression on the monitor in its tummy. Only until now did Zhou Yu know that the panda Benben could not speak.

This made Zhou Yu heartache.

The first pair of twins in Mini Luhua village both had physical problems. Kaka was short and thin. He looked like a hobbit compared to the average villagers of the ACG world, while Benben was very big, and he could not even speak. Zhou Yu didn’t know whether it was because something went wrong during the growing period or they simply just born that way.

However, fortunately, both of them were very playful and light-hearted, and they liked music very much. When cooking, Benben would put on some fast-paced but very cheerful music, and Kaka would rap and dance joyfully while cooking, which made people very happy while watching them cooking.

While twin cooks were at work, the farmers from the little farm all came over. Hearing the cheerful music, soon those little farmers all began to dance happily one by one as well. It directly turned the little farm into a dancing hall.

The kitchen rap contest reached the climax when little Muli joined in. Although her singing ability was far from her acting ability, she could still rival the A-rated singer of Star Light city. Otherwise, there wouldn’t have been so many people obsessed with little Muli’s singing on the Internet.

It seemed that with twin cooks, the village banquet would become more lively.

The vegetables produced by the little farm are delicious, this is something that everyone in the amus.e.m.e.nt park knows. And when there is delicious food, naturally, Zhou Yu wants to share with his parents and grandparents. It was the Spring Festival at the moment. And it just happened that everyone was at home.

Zhou Yu’s parents and grandparents were living in the renovated old house. At the moment, they were slowly adapting the life after becoming rich. Fortunately, the renovated old house is an archaize garden architecture. It is much easier for the older generation to accept this kind of style. If it is a modern villa, it may take even longer for the old people to get used to it.

The second day early in the morning, Zhou Yu asked Benben and Kaka to make two side dishes and a few portions of steamed vegetable buns. After that he also took a small pot of porridge from the chubby chef, then he hopped happily towards the renovated old house.

Zhou Yu is not a very filial type of child. Things like sending food to the elders, if he could continue doing it for one of two times a week, it was already good enough. But the elders of the Zhou family still quite enjoy such occasions, even if it happened not very often. At least, it proves that the children did not forget the family because of the busy business.

But today’s breakfast seemed a little different.

Grandpa and grandma were too old. Their gustatory systems had declined a lot that they could not taste much of difference. Father was not a fussy eater. To him, there were only two types of food in the world, edible and non-edible. But mother was not quite the same. Today’s breakfast, as usual, was just ordinary side dishes. But the first bite had the sensation of stimulating all the taste cells on the tongue. Enjoying it slowly, a fine fragrance would be lingering in the mouth.

Only just one bite, Yang Xiulan stopped in surprise and looked suspiciously at her son who was munching on a steamed bun on the side.

Small dishes looked ordinary, but there was a strangely pleasant taste in there. It didn’t taste like the dishes that could be cooked by ordinary cooks. Could it be that her son hired a famous chef? But why did a small amus.e.m.e.nt park in a rural area need a famous chef? Rich people would not come to eat in this place. Besides, she never heard of Zhou Fu mentioning that there was a plan to open a restaurant in the amus.e.m.e.nt park.

The only explanation was that her son had specially hired a chef to prepare food for them.

Although it was very nice of him to do that, it was very wasteful. They had already hired a nanny, although her cooking skill was average, it was not bad comparing to average families. There was no need to hire a chef at home. She didn’t want to interfere with her child’s business, but if her child’s lifestyle became extravagance and wasteful, then she must educate him.

But seeing two elders were enjoying the food happily, she didn’t want to ruin the mood at the moment. Therefore, after finis.h.i.+ng the breakfast and two elders went out for a short walk, Yang Xiulan began to reprimand her son “you spoiled kid, tell me, who made this breakfast?”

Zhou Yu was a little confused by his mother’s reaction. What was wrong with the food? Did the food not taste good? It couldn’t be. Although he was not a fussy eater, he was still able to tell if the dishes, that were cooked by the chubby chef, were delicious or not. Not to mention that all the ingredients were from the little farm.

“Got them from Tung f.o.o.k mansion. What’s wrong?”

“Still lying to me? If chef Li had this kind of skill, he would have already worked in the big hotels in the provincial city. Yu, mother knows you are filial and want to give us a better life, but there is no need to make the home like a palace. I heard your uncle Fu saying that there is a new project coming up in the amus.e.m.e.nt park. You should focus on your career rather than your enjoyment.”

Zhou Yu was speechless. It turned out, that the dishes were so tasty, that his mother thought, that he had hired a famous chef. Originally, Zhou Yu wanted to continue this misunderstanding and then told his mother that later on, he would fire the chef. After all, it was not easy to explain where he got the dishes.

But there was a problem.

Zhou Yu also liked to eat delicious food. Before he did not mind it, because he did not have many choices, but with the twin chefs, he wouldn’t miss chubby Li’s food a bit. Actually, after yesterday, apart from rice, he really only ate the dishes that were cooked by twin chefs. If he said that he would fire the chef today, but then later on his mother discovered the delicious food again, he would definitely be told off by her again.

In the end, he could only grit his teeth and said “mom, those… Those dishes were made by me.”

This answer made Yang Xiulan a little angry, because she disliked children lying the most. When Zhou Yu lived in the city with them, he never did any housework, let alone cooked anything. And she didn’t believe that living in the village alone for some time would make him have this kind of cooking skills. If he was able to gain such skill in this short amount of time, it would make the years of hard work and efforts of those good chefs look like a joke.

The situation instantly escalated, and even Zhou Yu’s father also joined in, making Zhou Yu sweat a lot.

Who would have thought that just sending some food would cause so much trouble?

Without any other choice, Zhou Yu had to keep telling the lie, otherwise, what was waiting for him would be the magnitude 8 earthquake. Only by making a dish in front of his parents, could they believe him. So he quickly asked little Muli to get the twin chefs and ready to perform a ghost cooking show.

The refrigerator still had a few vegetables from the little farm, there was a complete set of kitchen equipment. However, the one that was cooking was not Zhou Yu. But Zhou Yu still had to follow every action that Kaka did.

For example, when Kaka was cutting vegetables, if Zhou Yu didn’t pretend to cut the same vegetables using a knife, the other people would see that the vegetables automatically split themselves into serval small pieces, which would be quite scary. So he must hold the kitchen knife and closely followed Kala’s action to create a visual illusion.

“Good kid, be careful, don’t cut your daddy’s hand!”

Zhou Yu whispered to Kaka. Because the distance was too close, and although the knife would not hurt other normal people, it would hurt Zhou Yu.
